Fenway Questions (1 Viewer)

I'm going to Fenway Sept. 9 for my first time.

Looks like about $200 will get me the best seat I can afford.

I really like some in Section 69 on the Row C, just above the end of the Astros dugout or Section Field Box 49 Row A behind home plate.

I think I like 69 better (that's what she said), but I hate sitting where I have to turn my whole body to the right to see most of the action. I usually get a crik in my neck or the aholes to my right are leaning forward to see, so I can't. The 49 seats looks really good and I'd be facing the action in my default seating position, so it l;ooks like that is the better coice.

I have heard the seats are tiny and uncomfortable. Is it a little better in the field boxes?

Is it safe to wear Astros gear taking the train back?

Anyone want to do a Fenway cornhole? Its a Sunday game and the time has not been set. I imagine it will be the choice for the Sunday night baseball broadcast.

it's  been a very long time since i was there, but my uncle had season seats on the 3rd base side, around 10 rows from the field.  the seats were tiny and definitely at an odd angle.  i'd go with the straight seats.

I went twice as a young adult in the mid-nineties. Sat in the bleachers. Seats were small, stadium smelled like pee. I assume they've improved things since then.

Went a couple years ago and sat in the players seats up behind home plate, actually sat across the isle from Nolan Ryan.

Don't remember the seats being small, just remember having a great time.

And I wore my Cubs hat everywhere without incident.

Yea, those seats that face to centerfield are the worst. Each succesive person in the row has to lean farther forward in order to see. The seats look great on paper but eff that.

And yes, your fat ### is going to be uncomfortable in the tiny seats.

And yes, people will likely be #######s if you wear Astros gear, but do it anyway. It's not so much the Astro gear, it's just that most people are #######s

The third base side seats are no where near as bad from an angle standpoint as the ones progressively down the first base line. But Box 69 does look like it still could be a tough spot since Fenway’s structure on that side actually angles toward home plate right after that.

The seats will be tight, but any of the box seats (red) will be a little more comfortable than the grandstand (blue) seats in the back.

Box 49, Row A looks like it is four rows off the field, right by the end of the backstop and the new extended netting. That’s what I would pick if you have the means.

Thanks. That's what I bought
