Yes, I am surprised how the "experts" panicked so hard at RB (took 28 of the first 35 picks or so) and how early QBs (other than Culpepper and manning went). They kept leaving me soft spots to draft from.This team may not win, but I think has to be among the favorites this early in the year (without injuries and changes in situations).Actually I think it will win...LOL

You got value everywhere.Henry is undervalued (imagine him and LT as a 1-2 punch last year), the first 4 WRs were all very good value, especially Smith that late, Boo Williams should have gone earlier, and the Miami defense is a good platform each week.The byes are pretty well spread out, especially at QB and with your leading contributors.I would be surprised if there is a stronger roster out there at this stage.

Players I reached a little for: Brunnell (but he would not have been available had I waited), Hambrick (I needed someone and my list wasn't deep enough so I was searching for anything - probably a wasted pick especially after I got kevin Faulk the next round).Everyone else seemed like value to me.What amazes me is how these "experts" don't draft different for these contests. When you don't have to choose who plays each week, the QB position is severely devalued. Yet every year QBs scream off the boards. Also you should definitely draft three defenses yet only two of us did. I actually wish I would have taken a 4th defense and not taken Hambrick (especially after adding Kevin Faulk) I got ousted by one pick for Rod Gardner, but generally was picking different players than everyone else. I tried to double on the positions a lot and I think that is a smart tactic when drafting on the corners (at 1 and 12). These double picks can start panics and you are on the front end of them. All in all a fun way to wake up this morning. It should be fun describing what I was thinking in the Fantasy Index Magazine.

I'm not sure I agree. If this is the scoring for defensesefensive scoring = 6 points for TDs, 2 points for sacks, 2 points for fumble recoveries, 2 points per interception.It doesn't seem like they score many points. Nothing for points allowed, nothing for yards allowed. This isn't survivor right? I'd think you could do ok with only one defense assuming you're strong elsewhere. I'd rather have another RB. That's just me.

It was certainly fun and got me thinking (even with the limited information).I always find draft reviews an easy thing to write up. I think my last one was over 5000 words and just fell out of me.Adapting to the rules is vital in FF. Some guys don't even check the scoring or starting requirements. Your strategy was well thought out IMO, and Brunell could look like good value if he posts a few streaky weeks like he did in JAX. The 3 QB format makes him valuable, especially as you have Coles. You'll do just fine at that position.

Nice draft so far David. Great RB & WR depth! Best picks at the draft slot: Coles, Toomer, J.Smith. I also liked that you grabbed R.Williams to lock up the projected #1 & #2 in Jax.Only negative feedback would be:-Brunell (I think you could have snagged him at least 1 round later)-Not taking a sleeper RB sooner after you had 4 solid WR's in the fold.

Hadn't noticed - Hey David, was it you or Joe that likes the QB-RB combos in no-starter leagues?Was Bledsoe available instead of Leftwich? Maybe look to add Eli (behind Tiki, and with Toomer) as a late backup QB option.

Did not have time to answer this during the draft, but I love this strategy in non-starter leagues. Don't ever reach to accomplish this, but if it exists take it.These leagues you want the explosiveness that comes with the big play. If you have the QB and WR, you can get a HUGE boost when this connects especially from guys that go deep. I figure Brunell and Leftwich will have a few big games this year and those could be really big for me in this format.

Except that return TDs are flukes. They also can happen in bunches. Sacks are predictable, but INTs also can come in bunches.I won my WCOFF Draft Master competion (and $6,000) by taking 5 defenses in a 25 player - 12 team draft. I made up points every single week at defense despite having "supposedly" lousy ones. The key here is the variability of scoring is big for defense (not over a season so much without points and yards allowed, but definitely week by week).Add to that the fact that you can get these positions with your last picks while everyone else is picking players that will likely never ever see the field. A 3rd or 4th defense will play every week. Guys like Drew Henson may never play in my opinion.

Yes I wish I would have taken a 4th defense and never picked Hambrick actually. I am still going to win, but a landslide would have been more fun....LOL

yes it is Reggie Williams. When Leftwich is zinging the rock a lot this year (as I suspect he will be), this team is going to be potent as I have Leftwich, Jimmy Smith and Reggie Williams. Even if one of the WRs goes down, the other will just get more valuable. And I got all of these players very cheap (with good/great value in my opinion).

I can see Brunell being higher given the sitch (despite the fact he's never proven to be a decent FF QB), but Leftwich confounds me. I saw a LOT of great things from Leftwich and have him as a sleeper, but I think he will still be making a lot of mistakes, and if he crests 3G and 18 TDs it'll be a good year - the other guys mentioned expect at least that much production.I can't harass you that much for the selection, though I would have been really surprised if you took that combination with Plummer and Garcia still on the board - they get you ground yardage that is irreplaceable in the guys you selected.

What is amazing is the draft order was determined by how well you finished in the FF Index Poll last year. 1st place got first choice, etc.We finished 5th, but everyone above us took different spots to draft from. Redeye took 4th spot and got Deuce - Hard to argue with thatKFFL took 2nd thinking they would get LT in my opinionThe next two people took spots 3 and 5.We gladly took spot one with the fifth selection.

Like I posted earlier - Dodds ended with 4 of my top-25 and 5 of my top-30 overall players in his first five selections - really hard to beat that.

FBGuys and FFIndex Reader are CLEARLY the strongest teams. Some others might be competitive, but some of these other guys need to brish up on FF 101.KFFL and Fantasy GMs need to be busted back down to the minor leagues for a while.

That team is in the "might be competitive" dept. I don't like the lack of explosiveness at WR and the reliance on a lot of sleepers at the position.They seeem to be a prime example of why it is a mistakle to rigidly go RB heavy in the early part of the draft.

Despite taking RB/RB/RB, I still think you have the best WRs of any team.KFFL started ok, then killed their chances with the 2 TEs while ignoring receivers.
