last shift A rookie cop's 1st shift in the last night of a closing police station alone turns into a living nightmare. That pretty much sums it up. There were some decent jump scenes in this one and a good ending. Enjoyed this one more than hounds of love 3.7/5
last house on the left (2009) We've all seen this movie & If you haven't then you need to. Solid remake 4/5
house of wax Paris Hilton & Elisha Cuthbert. Movie is a typical teen horror flick with a bit more graphic scenes. I don't mind looking at Elisha and Paris. Pretty good violence and gore. Its kind of like Chainsaw Massacre meets Deliverance 3.5/5
The Snowtown Murders This one was a little disturbing because its based on true events. IMDB has it categorized as a bio/crime/drama but id say there's a bit horror to be in that situation. My wife woke up to the gay rape scene so beware

House Of Wax has some great entertainment value for sure. A solid teen slasher.
Get Out was highly entertaining. But once you have seen it....it will lose it's luster on repeated viewings IMO.
A really cool flick in the same type of genre as Get Out was The Skeleton Key (Kate Hudson). I really enjoy that film. Great ending too.
Watched a classic Gothic horror film this past weekend.
Burnt Offerings. Just creepy as **ck!!!!

I've posted about Bad Ben before and thought it was a very good, extremely low budget found footage movie, but the sequel, Steelmanville Road is pure hot, garbage. You might find it so bad, it ends up being funny though.
Also watched a couple decent ones over the weekend.
Tusk - Found this on Kodi, dont know where else it might be but this was a pretty unique flick. Horror movie about a walrus enthusiast. It's equal parts funny, obscure, and disturbing. Nothing quite like it out there.
Chasing the Devil - Amazon Prime - This one was an ok, not great found footage movie. It starts out great as sort of a possession based detective story with a couple WTF moments here and there. It kind of falls apart towards the end though. Still worth a watch.

Tourist Trap scared the crap out of me as a kid. Definite 70's cheese but some of the imagery still gives me the chills. You'll never look at Chuck Connors the same way after seeing this.

Don't read anything about it. Don't watch the trailer either. Fantastic visuals for a black and white film. Creates a fair amount of tension and unease without really showing that much violence or gore. Bit of an "artsy" horror film, but well worth your time.

Long Weekend 1978. Australian film about a couple trying to repair their relationship go on a weekend camping trip to a remote beach. From the beginning it shows the main characters disrespecting their surroundings and nature takes its revenge. There's also a bit of supernatural at play where they cannot leave the area (blair witch). I originally wanted to watch the remake but couldn't find a source. I'm usually not a huge fan of the older films but I did enjoy this one.

Gravedancers 2006. low budget supernatural flick. The film is a notch above crappy low budget films -Watchable but nothing special. The critics seem to like it though.
After a night of drunken exploits, Allison, Harris, and Kira are chased and terrorized by the ghosts of a child pyromaniac, an ax murderer, and a rapist.

Hush wasn't bad at all. Similar to "Don't Breathe" but not quite as good.
I'm also thinking about going to see "It Comes at Night". Getting great reviews.

Just watched "Man vs.". The first 50 mins of this had potential. Sort of a Blair Witch Project meets Terminator. Then they must have run out of money. Because the last 20 mins are some of the worst CGI / production I've ever seen. It was a great idea. Too bad the budget wasn't there.

I was dissapointed in it Comes at Night. It was not what I was expecting and it was depressing. I would recommend waiting for video or see it on the cheap. I paid matinee prices so I was not to upset. I have a few questions about some things but I will wait until people have a chance to see it so I dont spoil anything. Having said all that its not the worst movie you will see. I dont understand all the rave reviews and I suspect it will drop on rotten tomatoes after more people see it.

Looks like there are some real horror movie buffs in here--so I'll ask for some opinions in here. Have any of you guys seen a horror movie called "Perfume"? It came out in 2006 and I've heard from a few different people that it is very entertaining. In full disclosure--I don't fully trust the taste of one of the people that recommended it to me--so I figured I'd run it by the FBG. Any feedback that does not spoil the movie would be greatly appreciated.

Exactly---the user reviews are what I look at first on there. The Mummy has like a 17% critic reviews and close to 50% on user reviews--I want to see that one.Scoresman said:

I truly believe this film hold a more important place in horror film history than people are initially realizing. It absolutely broke me and shattered any and all expectations I had. Not just about the film itself but about horror movies in general. This is a must see, ignore any negative reviews and decide for yourself.
(2010) I Saw the Devil
Close to perfection, a truly unapologetic film that never ceases to amaze, despite its long running time
(2011) Sleep Tight
Constant tension and extreme sexual deviance; Luis Tosar’s performance is top notch. This one flirts with perfection.
(2016) Arrival
Really emotionally impactful and wonderful creature design. This is also the least “horror” on the list, well, so far that is.
(2016) The Wailing
My favorite film of 2016, it hides its evil in plain sight and uses exceptional storytelling to consistently shroud any real time predictions in doubt.
(1988) The Vanishing
The entire movie is just genius and not even just in the way the plot is told. It’s the dialogue tempo, the music, the cinematography etc. I love this movie, maybe even more than it deserves but it rocked me from start to finish.
(1978) Invasion of the Body Snatchers
This is the best alien invasion movie that currently exists.
(1973) The Exorcist
While this didn’t scare me, it didn’t stop it from being that close to perfection film that people will talk about forever.

My favorite David Lynch film and one that undoubtedly deserves to be discussed in the horror community.

One of the best supernatural films in existence, this is Polanski’s masterpiece.

The Treatment - A Belgian film about a cop trying to catch a pedophile. More of a thriller than horror I suppose. The premise of this film is ####ed up, really ####ed up. It's not too graphic but there are still some things I wish I could unsee. I don't know if I'm glad to have seen it. I will never be able to recommend this to people. Yet, I thought it was one of the best crime thrillers I have seen in a long time. It is very engaging and well made. Amazon Prime.

If this is the one I am thinking of (with Dustin Hoffman), it isn't a horror movie despite the premise. I would call it mildly entertaining and would neither recommend nor recommend to avoid.

ICAN is a very good movie that does not fit within the conventional horror mold. I would not call it a horror movie but more of a psychological thriller. It is methodically paced, which could turn off someone expecting straight horror.
While I liked it quite a bit, I don't think a viewer would lose much by waiting to see it at home.

It is the same movie. IMDB lists Dustin Hoffman second after the main star Ben Whishaw (whose name I did not know, hence me referencing Hoffman).

Watched Tag the other night on Netflix (thought of Homer throughout this movie). It has to be considered a fetish movie of some-sort--think really cute Japanese teenage school girls showing their underpants throughout this movie.This movie wants to be a porn movie, but yet there is no nudity at all--it is like one big tease throughout. I don't want to give anything away, but the first 10 minutes of this movie sets the tone for the whole thing--watch it and you will sit through the whole thing.
I will just say the level of gore in this movie is off the chain....

Sorry my edit got in late---this movie is gory and the gore comes so unexpectedly--you just will be shocked by it. Check out the bus scene at the beginning and you will stay for the whole thing.
