FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (4 Viewers)

DD, I'd have to say I'm a Tony Luke's guy myself as my go-to. Tourist trap wise, Pat's has never done me wrong if it's Pat's vs. Geno's. Real "local" cheese steak joint favorite is Steve's Prince of Steaks (which just got a permit to have a location in Center City, which would be deadly if I still worked around there.) Dalessandro's is a good one too, when I lived near it in college I used to go there once every few weeks, great steaks, haven't been back there in a long time.
Wrote all these down.
only one that may fit too is Jim's down on South St. You can usually score some pot from the cooks while you are there as well
Might as well throw Talk of the Town out there if he is by the stadiums. Until Steve opens up in Center City, it really isn't a tourist destination on the Boulevard.
I'll throw in a shout for John's Roast Pork in South Philly. Great cheesesteak.

I didn't know what the hell to post. I forget who did it, but i liked the one best that linked to an astronaut. I am just a beaten man, poor excuse for a former college athlete. 30's, 5'11" 230. Yep, forgot that one. Been so long, great cheesesteaks, even better after about 500 beers.

I'm basically a manager arguing with an umpire on the field at this point. Nothing's getting reversed, I'm just getting my $.02 in.
Not for nuthin, but you're a sucker if you give them one PENNY of business going forward after all of this.If you want a book you'll never accuse of pulling underhanded crap, and you like to get paid on time, check out Legends.http://www.betlegends.eu/about_us/Their reputation is A+, but the one problem a lot of folks have with them is they have an extremely limited prop menu. So look around a bit before you bother signing up to make sure it's right for you. Any minor issue I've ever had with them was resolved instantly in live chat.
I hear you. And I'm drawing down quite a bit after this incident. But at the same time, as a net winner, I'm more motivated to try and drain money out of them.

Always work to be done. I ride alot of fences, take care of the horses, manage the lessees (we have hunters, fishermen, kayak/canoe livery, rock climbers, and archeologists), grade the roads, fix #### that breaks, watch a lot of sunrises and sunsets, drink a little whiskey, and kill stuff.

Patriots are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 postseason gamesI think Baltimore has a chance to win outright. Got killed fading my hometown Ravens last week, so tread carefully. But recent history between these two teams always has the game coming down to a FG (except in the Wild Card game at NE in 2009 when Baltimore won 33-14)

I am done with college basketball. I can't pick a winner to save my life. Hell, I played MMA and tennis last night just to cover my damn cbb losses. I'm done. Come on baseball!

If you're bored this is kind of interesting, it's a leaked list of the player balances from the now dissolved betislands. Some of those player balances are scary large :Xhttp://www.askthebookie.com/betislands-sportsbook-no-pays-sbr-made-money-off-your-hard-earned-money-see-the-list-inside-67671/

+14/+10 still looks like a solid tease to me this week.

Never did one either.I'm late 40s, an accountant, and a bowler. Small scale gambler who got into it in college when a roommate got a couple of us to buy Mike Lett's service for football. It was quite the learning experience. We probably didn't have a big enough bank roll for it. I remember one of his first picks was Southern Miss plus a lot at florida. When the cover came in we ran out on the front lawn and did summersaults.I've learned a lot in this thread. Be conservative, dogs are good, tail the right guys, and make bets you don't understand just for the sake of action.

Yeah I have reigned in the food a little bit to start the year and I'm starting walking after dinner. I have a doctors appointment set up. God willing - if my blood numbers are holding (and they have my whole life) then I'll give "lifestyle change" one more honest to goodness shot, albeit with some professional help. If I am all of a sudden a type 2 case or my cholesterol is through the roof or something "unexpected" then I may opt for more of a drastic measure. :bag:

The forecast is calling for winds of 15 mph with gusts up to 29 mph in Foxborough on Sunday.

I did not realize we were going to do such in depth descriptions about ourselves or I would have added more. I currently work in B2B Sales for a wholly owned subsidiary of a national insurance company. I practiced law for a dozen years, mostly trial work, before moving in house 7 years ago. This company was one of my larger clients and they made me an offer I could not refuse. Two years ago (5 years into my gig here), I switched positions from the operations side of the house to the Sales and Marketing side. I will likely move back to the operations side in the next year or so if things fall the way I hope they will. In the meantime, I'll continue to position myself as the only person in the company who has significant experience on both sides of the house and do a lot more selling and a little less lawyering. I travel a decent amount and will likely end up in the cities of one of more of my fellow degens so don't be surprised when a relative midget at 5'7" sends you a PM wondering if you want to get a beer or catch a game.I live in Cleveland, Ohio, but grew up in Central NJ. I came to Cleveland for undergrad, stayed for lawshcool, met a young lady, married her, mated, got divorced and then met and eventually married the coolest lady on the planet. Hence, the blended family with three teenagers. I am Giants, Yankees and Devils fan, but after living in Cleveland for 25 years, I will root for the home team Cavs, Tribe and Browns as long as they aren't playing against "my true home team." If any of of my fellow degens are in town for any reason, I would be happy to show you around and buy the first or several rounds.

I teased both overs. Also careful on New England weather predictions more than 24 hours out.

Maybe the wind will not affect the Pats short passing game. Maybe it will only affect Flacco's deep ball. And no under is safe in Foxborough. Those are some things to think about. But I'm trying to figure out when to pull the trigger on the under in New England, currently 51½ covers some really good numbers. If that weather forecast holds up like it is supposed to you have to think the line moves down from that. No matter how cold it is, wind is something that I like to bank on when playing an under. Despite the media creaming over freezing temperatures in Denver last week, there was no wind and the total went over. As far as the number goes, once Sunday rolls around and the drinks start flowing in the early game, who knows how everyone will respond. Drunk people like to bet the over, especially in Pats games. One of the games within the game is waiting out a line to get the best number. I would just play it straight up, no tease. And I'll probably play both of the unders. I'm still trying to decide whether or not Harbaugh is going to roll the dice on the rookie and put the ball in Kap's hands again for the win, across the country, far from home, in the dome. I know Harbaugh is not stupid and will want to limit turnovers. One thing I do know is that despite ranking 27th and 19th in passing and rushing defense, Atlanta also ranks 4th in the NFL in scoring defense. And San Francisco is ranked 3rd.I like straight plays on both of the unders and I like to wait until gametime for the betting public to jack the lines up a few ½ points.

I don't know what the most unusual thing I've come across on the job is, but here are some things that I've experienced.I've been bit by a dog twice. The first time was on my leg by a Boston Terrier. I had run into this dog a few times and he always barked and ran around like a lunatic, but never bit. I never attempted to pet him, so maybe that's what he wanted, and when he finally had enough of my resistance, he bit me. The second time was bad. I was walking at the beginning of the loop (a loop is what we call a section of the route, usually 20-30 houses that you load up at the truck) and I saw this Chow on the porch of one of the last houses on the loop, on the other side of the street. There was a girl, maybe 10 years old sitting next to it, petting its head. I kept walking, taking a glance every few steps to make sure he wasn't gonna try anything funny. I cross the street and walk back towards the house, delivering as I go, still trying to see if I can locate the dog. I get within a few houses and can clearly see the porch, now vacant. I'm thinking that the girl brought the dog in the house, and I was good to go. Wrong. This house had tall bushes blocking the view of the walkway where I go up to the mailbox. As soon as I turned the corner of those bushes, he was all over me. He got me pretty good on my hand. I backed a way slowly and he just stared at me. As soon as I tried to pick up my pace to get away, he came at me again. I pepper sprayed him and he was pretty much unfazed by it, and came at me again. I whacked him with my satchel, and ran across the street to the nearest house and tried to get in the front door. Locked. Thankfully, the house had a screen door which was unlocked, and I ended up using the screen door as a shield. I was wedged between the screen door and front door, which was basically about 8 inches of space, but I was able to pull the handle towards me enough to shield myself from this beast until the owner came out to get it. I ended up at the hospital, getting 8 stitches and a tetanus shot for my trouble.I type pretty slow, and that story took way longer than I expected it to. I gotta run, but I have a pretty crazy story of something that happened to a co-worker that is definitely the craziest thing that's happened since I started this job. I also have some other things that have happened to me, but not all that crazy. I'll try to update later.
