FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (11 Viewers)

Her: "Hey there baby blue how you doing? I had a dream you were in last night so I woke up thinking about you. How is your summer going? Are you still not drinking? So I have been kinda hesitant in the past, don't ask why, but was thinking maybe we could do lunch or dinner or something sometime?"

Me: "Now I want to ask why."

Her: "Haha I don't want to answer lol. No, I just didn't know what it would be like to see you again, or how Id feel, cuz I'm married now and all. I don't know I was probably just being stupid"

Me: "That is true because if you saw me you would want me. Real talk."

Her: "Haha crack me up!"

NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION +½ 110/100

If anyone has a book with nfl player futures and is interested in personalized service, let me know.
Book has Roy's and mvps
I've seen a few different sets of roy odds. I feel the best value is Bell +1500 oroy and Brown droy +1500. No play for me on the sportsbook.ag lines that have Bell and Ball as oroy "field"...not enough value at +200 imo.

I'm sure some of you degenerates have frequented the various sports betting forums out there through the years. What is the deal with 100 units, 50 units, 30 units? Why not just say $30 or one unit?
"Units" are merely a way for people to maintain discretion. Gamblers tend to be paranoid. I can see a guy not wanting to admit that he's got $10,000 on an NFL game for fear (rational or not) that the IRS may be playing Big Brother on the forum. So instead, it's just 10 units. Nobody knows what exactly that means. But they know it's a strong play, which is the point.

And you can ignore "100 Unit" plays. All shtick. Same as our 74-STAR Cadmium Locks.
What's the proper unit to bankroll proportion? I really should take this stuff seriously and not just willy nilly like I have been. Also, don't people play teasers for less than their normal units? Is there a good intro book to all of this, S?
somebody might have covered it, but this is pretty good at covering it:http://forums.mmajunkie.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3106
Had this link bookmarked, but it's dead now. anyone know how i can find this?

My unit for sports is 1/20 of my bankroll. I play it like blackjack - through ups and downs, shouldn't have to leave the table or re-load too often if I'm using 1/20th of the roll as a standard measure.

I'm sure there's a different opinion on this from everyone that posts here. That's what I got, FWIW.

If you're really advanced, the amount you should be betting is determined by The Kelly Criterion, and then cut with some number depending on how risk-averse you are.

I usually go 1-2% of BR, and move up/drop down as my roll allows.

I usually go 1-2% of BR, and move up/drop down as my roll allows.
This seems counter-intuitive to me. I generally play 85% of my BR if I like a play. 100% if I love it.

This tends to produce highly consistent results.
:lmao:

I'm in a bit of a different boat b/c I only play football (college and pro)...and I'm no serious capper at all...I just love the action. Will have to do some thinking

This isn't going very well, Orioles pitching better than expected again and they hit a ton. Phillies are going to be hard pressed to win 84, the other two should be good.

Two baseball futures locked in: Orioles UNDER 78.5 wins -115 for 2.5u Twins OVER 67.5 wins -115 for 1.5u ADD: Phillies OVER 84 -130 to win 1u ADD: Rays OVER 85.5 -130 to win 1u

Mr. GameHunter. guy on twitter.

I haven't tailed any, but he's like 7-2 or something on summer league games.

Info stolen from elsewhere

In an update at GolfChannel.com, Peter Hanson has stated that he will, indeed tee off in tomorrow's opening round of The Open Championship. It's that time of year when a couple of internationals that own PGA TOUR cards have to do the math on when they can meet the membership minimum of 15 starts. Hanson has 11. "I spoke to the guys over at the Tour," he said. "I’m in an awkward situation. Basically, by teeing it up over the next four or five weeks I’m guaranteed to be in the top 125." He could putt his tee ball on Thursday, withdraw, and count it as a start. If that happens, first alternate Joost Luiten may cross the Swede off his holiday card list, but Hanson has earned that option. "I played nine (holes) today and was pain-free for the first two holes so I’ve been limping around," Hanson added. "We’re doing as much as we can to try and get it ready." He's currently 129th in FedExCup points.
Fading Hanson in Rd1(Haas) and tourney(Watney)

Tourney is OTB at a few places, -215 at some others and 5dimes still has watney at -145

NBA summer league game of the year just sounds awesome.
It loses that je na sais quoi when Dallas looks pretty good. hopefully the guy didn't drop a ton on it. I tailed it today, and got it at -5.5 at RB. So either a lot of money came in on GSW or something. But, if there was funny business with fixing actual NBA games only a few years ago, I would think these summer games would be a nice opportunity to influence some games if the powers to be wanted to make some money

I made it through the last week without doing anything too stupid. Made a play on an MLS match that lost. But it's times like these, All Star break, the week immediately after the Super Bowl and NCAA Championship-prime spots for me to lose my #### and bet stuff like the -525 and -690 futbol plays that I had my eye on this afternoon.

You already know how I feel about that dude. On a day with nothing else going on, and you got regulars who are at your mercy and feinding for some action, you are really putting your reputation on the line posting a GOY like that. He was obviously feinding for a play himself or just duidn't think that #### through.

Too bad PSG's not sneaking up on anyone in Ligue 1 this year, they've made a couple of insane signings. They're at -300 and I think there's like a 90% chance they repeat.

Wake up to money. Couples overBVP +120. Graham Delaet over Shane Lowry -110.

Going back to the well on Bernd Wiesberger. Over Brendan Grace +115 and +.5 strokes -110.

Made small plays on the Worlds mostinterestingman(stay thirsty) and Angel, both at 15 to 1.

been in Boston for the weekend.

went to sox Yanks game. walked to some obscure restaurant after. no one in the place.

Jeter and Nunez walk in. took a bunch of pics w him and he signed a bunch of my friends stuff. shook our hand and asked where from. nicest celeb I've ever met and awesome moment. who's running Yankee squares next year? #### the Sox.

Only took the Couples bet because those are the only guys I've ever heard of. :moneybag:

Thanks for the tip, and I hope the others worked(ed) out for you!

3 out of 4 with Delaet being the only loser. Didn't post it, but i'm hoping Westy holds off Tiger +165. Wasn't confident in the bet but liked the price.

The Battle of Lake Erie is upon us! Going to trot out a full Northfield harness card today. 1st race starts in just under 8 hours. I apologize in advance if everything I post is a loser, but this is where I tend to keep my bankroll growing. I just hesitate to post because it's a grind, kind of like baseball, so there are horrific days.
