FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (8 Viewers)

LOL - at GooRoo

I feel your pain man...I just bought a little Jon Franklin +1800 to go along with some Gio +1250s I've bought few times... knowing full well they'll both probably only have 125 carries.

The season needs to start already
Whoa, here he is!! And yeah, I'm all over the place with my ROY of the year plays. I figure if Bell, EJ, or GIO wins i am in real good shape. A couple of other guys i will hope to break even.

And if it is someone like Austin or another WR gets it, I am doomed :( . Riley Cooper will be in better shape then i will be

Sprinkled some Gio in as i think he is 1 of 5 that has an opportunity to win. Again, +1800 to +2000 is great value.

agreed him and bell best value and really think best chance too. Maybe Austin, or Ball if he go nuts with TD's or something

:headbang: I got the same 5 then, my higher one's are Bell, Gio and EJ, the rest will hopefully allow me to break even if they hit, like Ball. Also have a pinch on Franklin. Not a penny on any WR's, so here is hoping no WR's to take it

GooRoo - have you found a place in vegas to exploit your props (or other leans)? Will be there for NFL week 2 (college week 3) and will gladly pay for advice if there's an avenue to exploit

GooRoo, not sure if this is part of your football package, but Fresno St is -135 to win the MWC. They are also +240 to win the MWC overall - if you love them over Boise St, do you see value in either of those?

Bigger problem for Bell is its a bad to terrible OLine and Steelers may not even be good this year.

As a Bengals fan, I would take Eifert over Gio.

I have bets on both. Not alot of value - not a big play.

Definitely a bottom 1/3 OL, looks like 8-10 wins.

Wish Bell could be running behind that top 10 Cincy OL. ROY betting is all about opportunity and potential. Even if Gresham went out for the season today, 65-700-6 is not going to win ROY. Without the (pre)season ending injury for Gresham, Eifert likely goes for 40-400-4 and finishes in 13th place.

no way a rookie TE wins IMO
Even if he puts up top 5 TE numbers and the Bengals make the playoffs? I think he will go huge, but you might be right about them just not wanting to give to a TE. I think it makes it easier that he's a receiving TE though so he'll have the stats.

As for Gio, I like his game, but I will believe the Bengals are ever going to throw the ball to a pass catching RB when I see it. They never have in the past and I haven't seen them doing it at training camp. He would have to just completely overtake the bellcow role from BJGE IMO and Gio is running with the 2nd team.

Don't forget about the odds also. Gio can be found at +2000, Eifert is +1200. These guys are in similar positions on the team, both will split stats to start the season. I think it's possible that Gio can overtake BJE. I appreciate what Ellis brings to the table, very stable, but Gio has a whole different skill set, game changing/breaking ability. A sub 4 ypc behind that offensive line is plain weak. Even his 4.7 yds per rec is very weak.

I really don't think they are splitting stats. From what I've seen, they're just replacing the 3rd receiver with Eifert in their base formation and then when they bring a FB in they bring him for WR2. I see what you're saying about the odds though. I can see why you think Eifert isn't worth the payout. I'm just way more confident that he will be a difference maker from the jump than Gio.

Interesting. I haven't seen anybody that projects Eifert to have even as many catches as Gresham. The average FBG projects about 35-400-3, on par with Luke Stocker, and behind guys like Coby Fleener and Tamme. You said difference maker, and that's what Gio has the ability to do. I'd love to see them try to get Gio the ball in space about 15 times a game. BJGE can have his 7-10 carries a game up the gut, move a couple chains, and call it a day. Either way, I really like the Bengals.

Great, this city is going to be unbearable if they are good

Gosh I would think gresham would have to get hurt for that even to happen right? I mean grasham isn't a complete bum, I dont htink they completely phase him out.

interesting indeed, so you think he will be taking away some of Hawkins receptions in the slot?

Didn't mean to turn this into the shark pool lol. I don't have much else to say about it other than I think you guys are way off on your projections for Eifert. In the projections above, I'm guessing you have slightly too many rushing yards between those 2 RBs and not enough passing yards for Dalton, which I think will primarily go to Eifert. I think AJ's numbers will decrease no matter how good he plays just by having other options finally.

Hawkins numbers probably go down just by being on the field less. Gresham I think you have right.

ETA: In order to believe Gresham > Eifert on receiving yards you have to think 1 of 2 things....

1. The 2 TE base offense they've been preaching since draft day and practicing through training camp is just a myth or

2. Gresham is going to be a more productive receiver when they're both on the field

I have Benagls for 454 att and 1860 in rushing.

2012 430 1745

2011 455 1778

2010 428 1522

Passing I have 3837

2012 3807

2011 3507

2010 3988

Cool maybe I'll drop Hawkins receptions and give some to Eifert

Those passing numbers for Dalton are pretty fair. I wouldn't disagree with simply adding to Eifert's numbers rather than taking away from Hawkins or anyone else. 340-3875 for Dalton looks very realistic, with Eifert being the sole beneficiary to the bump. I really think he catches more than 25 passes. I think 50 and 500-600 is the ceiling for Eifert, with 40 and 450 more likely. I think his ROY line should be closer to +12,000 than +1200.

San Diego is 4th in OPS versus LHP and Washington is 30th. San Diego should be favored to win v NYY and Washington should be huge underdogs to MIL.

In on SD and Mil. I'm a belieber in Chains

Also in on LAD and CHC U9. But I didn't bother checking weather conditions at Wrigley

It's friday and there's football sunday night :excited:

RB VERY slow to move some of their CFB win totals :pickle:
Anything particular you recommend?
Mississippi o8 +170

Miss St o6 +160

Mich St u8.5 +135

UNC o9 +135

Kansas State o8 +155
Gracias!!! :excited:
Yes! Muchas Gracias!
Si!!!

Should we talk about race relations in here....or the Cubs/Dodgers game in 15 minutes?

I had Tiger in a heads up yesterday and Tiger to finish in the top 5 in this tourney.

eta: mad that I didn't have the intestinal fortitude to play him to win.
