FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (5 Viewers)

The original plan was for me to do it myself, but he needed to be in the room also to do the chat thing on the sidebar. I don't know any of the guys he works with. We tried to get into the draft room at the same time on different computers, but it kept kicking one of us out.

ETA: Yahoo has a "best available player" list right there to hold your hand, but it's pointless if you don't understand value-based drafting.

I'm a believer in Jamies Winston. Sure he had a lot of press this preseason, but I think it's for good reason. The rumor was Clint Trickett saw him in spring ball and didnt even give the coaches any aggravation about the fact that Winston took the first snaps. He more or less packed his bags the day after the spring game and asked the coaches to do the right thing and let him transfer, a move they signed off on because he handled it well.

Doing a redraft this season with my best bud from high school. I only get to see him once every few years in person, but we signed up to NFL.com today and are leaguemates right now for the first time in over half a decade. Just printed out my cheat sheets, and we draft in an hour.. I'm all jacked up!! :thumbup:

 
Made my first week 2 purchase. Wazzu catching the 16.5 from USC for a half unit. I'm not over thinking this one. Wazzu hung in there vs Auburn. USC could have realistically lost to Hawaii.

 
Good bad or indifferent I'm loaded up with Patriots -7 and Yucks -2.5 for week 1. Don't really like much on the NFL board right now, but I do think the Broncos are an excellent tease opportunity. I'm trying to picture a Broncos loss Thursday night and I just don't see it.

Broncos -1.5/Jets +10

Broncos -1.5/Bills +16.5

Hopefully the broncos come in and it opens up some big middle opportunities as well as some fail insurance.

 
Also, I'm always wrong when I feel so sure about something...

I like the Ravens getting more than a TD Thursday night.

Don't you think we're possibly over-rating the Broncos just a tad? Their defense is a bit messy right now. They can move the ball, sure, but I think the Ravens can as well and I don't feel like they are this bad on D. They add Dumervil to the mix who's going to be disruptive. I thought this line was a tad off since the beginning. Giving more than a TD to the defending SB champions when we haven't even seen a real game played yet? I feel like this is a good spot for the Ravens to cover (lose by a FG most likely).

With you on the Bucs but I have Pats -10 so ill be rooting for a blowout

Only other NFL game I sort of like is INDY -9 (parlayed it with the above)

May play Eagles Over on MNF depending on how Saturday/Sunday go...have a feeling that number will go up before then though

 
is there a survivor league thread somewhere (I thought RN usually started it....but I could be mistaken)

Colts appear to be the go to pick for Week 1

 
I have been kicking this around all week and I just pulled the trigger. 40/2500 Eddie Lacy most rushing yards.

AD is obviously the favorite here. But if something were to happen tho him, as will happen to RB's from time to time, who are you looking at? I think you got a handful of guys who are really going to get the bulk.... 350 carries. I think you got Lynch, Morris and Martin. I'm willing to wager that Lacy is going to get enough touches and plays in an offense where he has a punchers chance at 1400-1500 yards.

At 60-1 I think it's worth a stab.

Since i'm venting...please allow me to save a space ___________________________ if the Rays don't score 4 on Vargas. In the 3rd, bases jacked with 0 outs = no runs. Hoping I don't have to use that space.

Whew...this thread is lucky to be spared of my wrath. They got to Vargas in the 4th for those keeping score at home.

 
Anyone else getting these $250 free bets from SB? Deposit $500, get $250 for 1 bet (with no rollovers). Seems way too good to be true, but I verified everything on their live chat and my withdrawl amount is aligned with what it should be.
