Reinhart and McDavid are really young. Seems the older guys get more playing time and do better so I'm thinking Drouin or Shinkaruk is the play here. Doubt Ekblad or Dumba have much of a chance. Drouin recently returned to practice after getting a concussion so I guess he's priced low in case he gets re-injured.

EDIT: Shinkaruk only has 16 points in 18 games this year while Drouin has 50 points in 23 games.

I'm taking Drouin. Hope his head's ok.

Defense. Pitt has been crushing teams because they're really efficient on two-pointers, mainly because they get to the rim a lot. Cincy has been good at keeping teams from scoring on 2s and they block a lot of shots which can help turn away that penetration and turn Pitt into more of a jump shooting team.

I also rarely bring emotion or intangible factors into my thinking (I believe we've had a conversation on this in here before) but after getting beat handily by their biggest rival Xavier last time out I think Cronin can get the Bearcats way, way up for this game. This is the closest to "gut" I've used at any point this year, so it's funny that this would be the one you ask me about.

I punched a bet on Duncan Keith at 3.5 to 1.

He's only 1 point behind Karlsson but is a +14 (compared to -6 for Karlsson) and plays on the best team in the league. He's on pace for 68 points right now and he finished with 69 the year he won the award (2010). If he can stay within range of Karlsson and Subban (5 behind him) on points, he should win this.

Unless Karlsson or Subban get up to 70+ points, I think 60 is enough for Keith to win this assuming the Blackhawks don't collapse, which seems pretty unlikely.
