I've held my nose with both of these "14 point games" since the card was announced and I just decided Texas +14.5 was the one I felt the best about. But seeing as how I am a degenerate count me in for Tech as well.
Don't know how much it will matter but Ole Miss has some Defensive starters back in the game for the 2H. If the kicker didnt crap his pants and Bo Wallace learns to not take sacks in the 2H I think Ole Miss should pull this out.

We compiled ATS records for the four NFL teams located in the Pacific Time Zone (San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers, and Seattle Seahawks) when traveling to play in the Mountain, Central, and Eastern Time Zones.
The table below displays the results, since 2005:
Game Time Zone ATS Record ATS Win RateMountain 22-10 68.8%Central 37-44 45.7%Eastern 44-57 43.6%Interestingly, ATS performance of Pacific Time Zone teams gets progressively worse as they travel further east. Based on these results, we can conclude that West Coast teams don’t meet expectations and therefore “play badly” when traveling to the East Coast. full article

FWIW here's some thoughts from my buddy in Austin
No reason to play Texas unless you think there's total apathy on Oregon. Honestly the team that takes the field is missing so many of the original starters and McCoy only threw 11 tds - 11 picks to 30-4 ratio for MM - plus the game is indoors. Smells like the OK state game to me 40-20. One diehard horn fan I talked to who reads literally everything about the team said its a 4 score difference in the bowl game

I did my own analysis and found out - at the time that article was written, Pacific Coast teams were 3-1 ATS in the Eastern time zone this season. And those same 4 Pacific Coast teams proceeded to finish 10-4 ATS in the Eastern time zone this season. So who the #### knows.

Best remaining bet on the board I see is Foster - AZ ST over 109.5 rush+rec yards -125. D.J. should be able to get loose on a leaky Texas Tech defense. With the Grice absence, Foster should see in excess of 20 touches, with several attempts to get him the rock "in space". Foster is the CFB equivalent to Lesean Mccoy or old school Ray Rice. Getting the ball 20-25 times against TT, including 5-8 catches should yield well over 110 total yards. Good luck!

I doubt the pack will be able to run amok on the 9er defense as they did on the bears. I doubt the 9er defense gives rodgers 8 seconds in the pocket to complete a pass, as they did on the bears. I don't doubt that the 9ers are a much better coached team than the bears. Bears woulda/coulda/shoulda won that game. 9ers won't be saying that when its over. So much better defensively than any team in our division. Even the offenses of our division are overrated because the stats get padded playing crap defenses 6 games. 9ers by a touch at least. 24-13, 27-10....something like that.Eminence said:
