FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (3 Viewers)

I still can't believe what happened to me.

Done with fantasy football forever. Biggest bunch of horse #### I've ever seen
If it makes you feel any better, I've had worse, and for more dough as well. Also, the reason why this seems like such a big deal was a mistake to begin with, right? So the fact is you never actually won, basically. It's no different then losing by missing any other bonus which happens to A LOT of us all the time -- it's called Fantasy Football.

And if that doesn't help, just turn the page because...

WE MOVE ON! HTH :P

Well if I knew about the potential mistake, I'd have played webb on Mon night and still won but... :hot:

Needed a Sonny peptalk. Thanks soldier. Ready for some FIU tonight? :hot:

Got a big bottle of Booker's Scotch for Xmas - enjoying it and playing some pacman over at the oth:e:r place....

Slap it high?

Can't believe dominoes is still delivering in this ####. Even if it tastes like #######s
:thumbup:Ninja, call Tommy's! Best pizza in the state and they're right near you.
Bookmarked for future reference. Already paid for the dominoes cardboard tasting pizza. As drunk as I am, it doesn't matter anyway. I could eat the ### end out of a dead rhino and be satisfied (10 karma points for whomever knows what movie that's from)

Are they serious with this ####ing game? I'm so bored I'm suicidal. FIU and TOLEDO was the best matchup this bowl committee could find?

Did Eastern Michigan and New Mexico State have other plans?

I honestly wonder who watches these games besides gamblers and alums. Seriously, without gambling literally nobody would be watching this game and ratings would take a nosedive.

Now imagine the ratings if the Vikings and Eagles were playing as scheduled.

Is there a way to get those stubborn, rock-hard snots out without picking away and tearing the inner walls of your nostrils?

Is steam what's needed here?

Phew, needed that drive and TD badly.

Over at half is calling me. Hoping they don't score too much before it though...

Beer run at half!

 at that Keith Stone commercial with "Kiki" stuck in the tree. Classic!

So in my boredom, I was messing around with my entertainment center and I just realized I can connect my PC to my HDTV via a HDMI cable.

(No, I did not know this already.)

:lmao:

Now I get to watch the HD porn I download on a 65" screen instead of a 19" screen.

My life suddenly has meaning! :2cents:

For those who don't venture into the SP. Singletary has been fired.

Niners are -6½ vs. Arizona next week. Use this information as you see fit.

Okay boys, it's almost that time. Week 17! If memory serves, we killed teasers the past couple of week 17's, even more than usual. Gotta figure out who has something important to play for (the Pats don't, but they aren't in the habit of resting players) and see what's what. The Colts/Bills game last year comes to mind as an example. Indy sat everyone after the first series and got blown out 30-7.

don't have a normal job yet, still just coach soccer trying to turn it into a career. Good money, but certainly part-time. I am betting lots more money because I have won a lot this year and I have virtually no overhead. I own my house and rent it to 3 other guys. Just pay for everything else and for a young guy like me isn't a lot.I am done gambling this year after the Super Bowl (a promise to the GF as she doesn't like the gambling habit) but starting this football season I am on pace for over 6 figures this year, so you do the math on what I am probably up. I reached my yearly goal I set in just 8 weeks. Only one losing week so far. I have certainly been running well, but I have worked very hard at it. Not having much to do everyday but look at lines and such. I also made a little bit off of Delaware Park now taking sports bets. I only bet there about half of the year (as some weeks their lines were okay) but half the weeks they had some bad lines and I did take advantage. I hit them for $1600 one week but besides that was down a little there - then again much more variance with having to play 3-teamers so you are looking for the big week. With the right outs, I know I can make 10-20k every football season by putting in a fair amount a work. I am very worried where the prop market is going from here on out though as a lot of my money is made off of props. I am doing well and am saving nearly all of the money I am winning as I know things can change quickly.
We're going to need an update after 50 weeks. You must have every mattress in Casa Marshall stuffed with $20's by now.

Looking at the early lines for next week anyone else agree St. Louis is good for the point and a half over Seattle. I think St.Louis is the better team and deserve to be in the playoffs more than the ####ty seahawks.

GEORGIA TECH +2.5Another 6-6 team that played a better schedule, will be playing for a winning season.
L v. Kansas(3 win team)Blow out L v. NC State(Bowl Team)Blow out L v. Clem (6 win Bowl team)Close L v. VaTech, and covered as a dog (bowl team)L v. Miami (Bowl team)L v. Georgia ( Bowl team)Decent losses for sure, but their wins have come against 5 teams with a combined 23 wins(couldn't find anything on South Carolina State) I am going to be on Air Force tonight. While their schedule may not have been as tough, they have much better losses(TCU, Oklahoma, Utah, SDSU) and their most important win to me is the 14-6 victory over Navy. This tells me they should be able to defend the triple option. Three of their losses they were outmatched through the air, and I don't see that the case tonight.Looking like AF and the Under for me tonight. GL to all!

Great game last night, I was jumping up and down in the bar when FIU hit the FG to win and people were looking at me like I was from outer space.

Only 5 more weeks of gambling left for me.

Got lucky yesterday - after the 49'ers crapped the bed, I knee-jerk chased with the Packers. Saved what could have been a really bad day. Still burning about the bad beat involving the Texans/Broncos over, though...

Still going into tonight:

Atlanta -2.5 Atlanta takes care of the small stuff remarkably well. One of those small stuff things is converting 3rd downs, which extends drives and bleeds time off the clock. This makes their average defense better than it really is. This is pretty much the formula for beating the Saints - putting the pressure on their offense to make plays, playing from behind...Atlanta does pretty well at protecting the football too, and their offense is balanced and structured to both play with a lead and play from behind equally well. Having an offense capable of improving the play of the defense, regardless of the situation they find themselves in is a rare thing, I think it's a good thing for us. Plus they are playing at home, and it's a short #.

Atlanta O42 (final leg of 3-Team, 7-Point Teasers) - missed on Texans/Broncos over by a hair, hit on Colts/Raiders over by a hair...so I'm a little gunshy about playing another over with this high a # (49), although it sets up well as a cover. I like Atlanta as a favorite more than this total, and in deference to what Atlanta will have to do to cover the spread, I only like the total as a tease leg, dropping into a very hittable #.

Georgia Tech +3

I'm going in pretty deep for Ga Tech, considering the following: Ga Tech lost their starting QB in Week 10 (Nesbitt), but the offense has performed better with Tevin Washington - it's more focused on running, but Washington's passing has been more accurate. So, they are passing less, and running more, and not only running better, but the pass offense they do generate has been more efficient. Georgia Tech runs a run-heavy option attack, and Air Force lost their best run defender in Week 6, SS Brian Lindsay, and their run defense since then has been less than stellar, and their entire defense has actually declined. Air Force began the season with an average defense that was better at stopping the run than the pass, but without Lindsay, they aren't much good at stopping either...

The line might move Ga Tech to a bigger dog as it gets closer to kickoff due to them suspending 3 players, but these players actually aren't significant contributors, although they are all starters...one on Offense (a WR who doesn't play much of a role) and 2 on defense - one of whom is only suspended for the 1st half.

I placed the Falcons, and Teaser plays earlier this week, but just put in the play on Ga Tech. Now that I think about it, I might play another Teaser combining all 3 if the GaTech spread goes to 3.5 before Game Time, which it could due to the public looking at the suspension of starters without knowing just how little impact their loss should really be.

Good Luck!

One other thing to like about Ga Tech...Coach Paul Johnson, Navy's former Head Coach has plenty of experience playing against Air Force, and beating them 6 times...

...and yes, I know that the suspended Ga Tech WR is their leading receiver, but considering he's only caught 15 passes for the whole season, and the 2nd leading receiver has 11 receptions, they really aren't losing as much as it sounds like. Ga Tech WR's are blockers 1st, and most of their stable are proficient at that aspect. I'm looking at it as a non-issue.

Pitt is better than UConn but I haven't missed any of either teams games and from what I see, I think 7.5 is too much to be laying to the number 4 ranked team in the country.

Playing Big East dogs is on my favorite things to do, especially at a number as high as 7.5. Of course there's a lot of backdoor cover opportunities if Pitt is up 3 or 4 late with free throws slowing things down but I still like Uconn and the points for a unit.

Off Air Force and Ga Tech although I'd play it if Air Force were a dog.

Need Saints to come through on second half of teaser bet though. Lot's of college bowls this week, and lots of good plays too IMO.
