FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (8 Viewers)

I will certainly be on the square Packer side for the nfc champ game. I just think the Packers defense is vastly underrated and very good. Nobody talks about their CBs and how talented they are. Jets and Pack have the best CB tandem in the league. I actually could see this line at 6 as wrong as that may be.
All I've been hearing for weeks is how good the Packers defense is. Their cornerbacks are the among the best in the league. Not under rated at all.
Yeah, but, you know... nobody talks about them.

Seton Hall +13.5 (Hazell doesnt seem to factored into this line)
I guess the books we're right as Hazell barely showed up. Pitt shut him down. Speaking of Pitt, they are not only winning...they are scoring points. I guess we'll see what they're made of tomorrow night versus Syracuse.early today:

Providence +2: 24-16 early

Notre Dame +3 looking very shaky in the early going

Seattle Seahawks +10 Between the possibility of a Leon Washington return and a Jay Cutler pick 6 there are just too many ways for Seattle to score a special/defensive TD; which often leads to covers in double-digit dog situations
:goodposting: Joseph is doubtful for the game tomorrow night, wish the cuse squad was going to be at full strength for this game. It's REALLY tough to win at pitt
(Im a big SU guy; ive seen all but 2 or 3 games all the way through so far this year)Joseph's absence represents a golden betting opportunity to bet on Syracuse if his absence moves the line. SU has countless answers on all sides of the ball this year. Joseph has improved the last 2-3 games, but before that he was leading the team in poor/haphazard shot selection. Along with the need for either Jardine or Triche to have a nice game, Sutherland and Waiters can make up for his absence. Im *hoping* to see an SU >+5 line here.
line opened right at 5eta already moved to 4.5

Maybe, I never watch those pregame shows or matchup shows. I don't really hear anyone talking about how good Tramond Williams is. Cromartie and Revis talked about a lot. I bet not many can even name the 2 Pitt CBs without looking it up. I can't.

Apparently the odds-makers are right on top of it. I'll stay away from it at 4.5; though a gun-to-my-head pick would be to take the points.

Taylor, McFadden, Gay, Madison, Lewis, Burnett, Butler...

:hophead: :yucky: Steeler fan? Just asked my roomate who watches redzone pretty much every week and is a casual observer. He hadn't a clue.

2h Pats at least -7 because they get ball and are down. I will guess -7 -125.I'll be betting Jets.
So, Pats -2.5 is no longer a "no-brainer"...?
Come on man. You should always tease teams under a fg and never teams up. Hasn't lumpy taught you this and that you don't need to think about wong teasers.
What if I thought the Jets would win? As I obviously did, since I took them on the ML. How, then, is betting the Pats -2.5 a "no-brainer"...?

In the longrun, you never make money teasing teams up when you can tease through 3, you know this. You always tease through the 3. Where is lumpy to help me here?I even told you I liked the Jets but if you like the Jets you don't tease them.

Tell ya what. Admit there is no "no-brainer" in sports betting and my work here is done.

i'll admit it, ne teased to -2.5 in a 3 teamer at +180 is a no brainer, 2 teamer at +100completely behind MP here :tumbleweed:you can take todays one game sample and bask in the glory of being right...i'll take the entire 2010 nfl season and bask in that glory

Wow!

:goodposting:

Can the Jets win three in a row on the road? Can they get "up" again? Not that I see a letdown coming for the NYJ, but Pit expected to be playing for the AFC Championship and the NYJ are happy to have gotten past NE. I think Pit is the play next week.

IMHO, everybody will be on GB next week. I think GB wins, but does not cover the number.

Just the early thoughts of a guy whose bankroll was on life support until hitting a teaser I had no business betting let alone winning with PIT/GB/NYJ.

Jets/Pitt game reminds me of Pitt/Denver from 2005. Jets on a tear right now gaining confidence. Honestly, not sure Pitt really deserves to be in title game.

Shocked the Jets are getting the hook, won't last long.

Interesting. I agree with the Bears. They could win 31-10. But I lean towards the Jets. I think they know they HAVE to run, and I think they CAN run, especially if it's a super cold day. Should shorten the game, and it's not out of the question for them to win SU.
I like the Jets in the game too, but teasing the Pats to 2.5 is a no brainer. You either tease the Pats or bet the Jets +8.5.
Not when the Patriots win by 20 you don't. Patriots are in that mode where they just keep scoring early and often. Good luck with the run after that happens. And I wish Jets backers even more luck with Sanchez trying to bring them back, in Foxboro. ;) This team's pretty lucky to be here when you think about it...and now go up against an absolute buzzsaw. For all their talk, even the Jets D wasn't as great as it was supposed to be this year...and certainly nothing that BnB won't have a problem with. Jets are about half as good as they think they are; they come crashing down on Sunday.I do see your point though, just trying to get RN to make the right choice. :lmao:When I said the Jets are lucky to be there, I am talking about my opinion, not a couple of plays. Things like those 2 OT wins and getting to feast on Indy Light this year have made them look like a fortunate team, to me. I am just not impressed. They get so much press, this circus that is the Jets these days, that I think it has them a little overrated, especially with all the expectations that carried over. But ON the field, I'm not really seeing it. They're good, okay, but I don't think they're close to where the Patriots ended up, along with their cherished "2 weeks and Bill B".
For the record, I ignored everything you typed. Thank God. ;)

pull the trigger on teasing NYJ/CHI now?
why are we teasing the Bears when the line will close above 3?
I don't know, that's why I'm asking.ETA: maybe you get a bad wrap b/c of your tone. A better response would have been: "might want to wait until later in the week as the line will likely close above 3 and might not warrant a tease"just food for thought

ok well the line is already 3 even so it's not teaseable especially with a mid 40s total.
