FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (12 Viewers)

Dear Pat Fitzgerald,

When in a prevent zone with less than 18 seconds to play, have more than one guy back guarding against the hail mary pass. Thanks for crapping the bed on that one. That is all.

Sincerely, Joe Public.

GooRoo (or anyone else)... Is Manziel for the Heisman worth a shot at +1200? He's putting up some stupid numbers on the ground.http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2012/10/15/heisman-survey-geno-smith-braxton-miller-collin-klein/1634233/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+sportsmain+%28Sports+-+Flipboard%29
Pass imo. He'd likely have to beat LSU and Bama and sustain his outstanding numbers in doing so. He's getting close to a play in the +1200 to +1500 range, but not enough value for me yet.
:drive:But Klein is gonna be tough to beat.

Glad I took a stand in the "whos goon to beat bama" thread, and not only didn't take a&m but put a unit on bama because they are on my auto play list.

Going in for a look at live betting for the Bama game
Bama ML +200Ill take some of that
I'm not sure that's fair value for a team down 20, GB.
Bama is the best, Saban will adjustIll ride it out
 Another score by Bama and you'll have a chance to hedge with A&M at plus money both ways.
Ok, quick story...I was 0-7 betting UFC this morning. So I quit watching it and started watching the Arsenal/Fulham soccer match...About 35 minutes in Fulham scores to make is 2-2.They put up these lives linesOver/Under 5.5 with the Under at +130Then they had exact goal props....1,2,3,4,5,"6 or more".....6 or more was +230Got even for the day with that gem

I was 0-7 betting UFC this morning.
 how did you do that? I am guessing you took most of the dogs, or unders? I have to go searching for sportsbooks again to try and find some that release UFC plays early
I refuse to bet huge favorites in a fight. And I pretty much bet unders in every fight. No shtick
yeah, that sucks. The fighters they had o the card, i would have suggested the over with most of them. I am not sure how many ended early, but there weren't too many guys known for finishing fights on that card. At least there is another card coming up on Saturday. Betting favorites can work if you can parlay or work with some props. I used to shy away from big favorites too, but the lines have changed over the years and there are a ton more big favorites then there were a few years ago. I'm sure there will be some live dogs coming up in the next few cards, we'll make the money back!

Agree with the lack of finishing ability on the card today. Here is how I decide how much to bet on the under...I ask myself "How scared would I be if I bumped into this animal in a dark alley?"If I would piss my pants, I max bet the under!!

Could work pretty well. I don't know how that would work for me though, i am pretty sure i would be betting the under on 90% of the fights, probably all of them except the bantanmweights (125 lb's).

Oh, I would get destroyed if I fought anyone...but some of those dudes look like they would kill their mom's for a quarter.

I just spent $91.83 on five different kinds of imported gluten free beer for myself, and three different kinds of imported beer that tastes like fruit for chica number two.

I have been out all day. Did Mizzou cover the 2H over and/or manage to keep it within two scores?

Gooroo 7-0 to start the day boys...If you have the means - you should PM him.Go Tulsa!
i got an email that I had a message pending at SB when I woke up this morning. Feared the worst...(it was the no action message for the Georgetown game :excited: ... still mini clipped about a year ago @ 100)

I think this one is far enough ahead that I don't even have to worry about jinxing it. Great call on the Tulsa play from all of the CFB guys in here. It's fun getting some easy bets in here while we can.

RN - since you're from Rhode Island, I thought I'd start with you. Do you have a good bolognese recipe that doesn't require a food processor to cut up the veggies? TIA

Hfs :lmao:I have no idea why
I saw Michael Symon making one that looked ridiculously good on the Food Network a few months ago. Maybe try there? He said the secret was using some of the starchy pasta water in the bolognese sauce. (Why do I suspect I will get flamed for this?)

no flaming. We do it all in this thread. There's no way I'm starting a new thread about meat sauce or starchy water.

I've ranted about pasta before. I'm a snob about it.While we're on the subject. I've mastered the art of "saucing" pasta.1 - Drain the pasta and reserve some of the starchy water.2 - Pasta goes back on the burner with the heat turned off. 3 - Add a TBS of butter per pound and 1 TBS of Olive Oil.4 - Melt the butter, add a SMALL portion of your sauce and 2 TBS of the pasta water.5 - Top with your sauce.Fool proof. Makes the best pasta ever. Enjoy!

I'm well aware...and I told you not to have too high of expectations for Philly :)Good tip - thanks!

:wall:

I bet there would be a TO on the TCU drive at +650

QB fumbles and KSU tries to scoop and score instead of falling on it and he muffs it
