FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (9 Viewers)

I know nothing much about college football and don't mess around with it, but a buddy gave me under 44 in FLA/FSU this saturday and is pushing me to take it, saying it's an easy cash. Any input from the genius that is the gambling FFA?

(also told me USC outright, but isn't being as pushy with that one)

Not sure if that info was before they announced Jeff Diskel will start. Florida offense is not too great with Driskel but is dreadful without him. Public loves USC, way too much for my liking. Not sure what the other CFB guys think about that one but USC is not a good team and are without their QB. Notre Dame isn't overpowering but they don't make a lot of mistakes and they really do play good defense. I might bet the total but I'm off the side, something ain't right.

Thanks for the insight on both DD. Talked to my buddy on Tuesday about these games so it was before the news about Driskel. Thanks for the heads up, I'll tread lighter, if at all.

LSU -11: I think LSU is the most overrated team I can remember, they are bad on offense and their defense is good but not great. But Arkansas has nothing to play for, they are 1-9 ATS and they stink. Give me LSU

W Virginia -1 1.5u Should have thrown more at WVU. Tavon Austin makes a world of difference and WV actually has to win this game to go to a bowl game.

South Carolina +4.5: I like USC to slow the Clemson machine down enough and keep this one close. Not a bad ML play either

Stanford pick'em Stanford is very physical and although UCLA screwed me last week, I think Stanford is reinvigorated.

Oklahoma -8 and -6.5 Payback from 2011 when OU got housed. I think they play their best game of the year and win by 17

Louisiana Tech +4.5 Fading San Jose State again, I didn't like what I saw in the 2nd half last week and La Tech can score with anyone

Michigan/Ohio State OVER 55 Just a gut feeling, maybe some defensive and special teams scores pushes it over

I have some leans on totals and sides and will wait to see what others post to find that push into a bet.

to finish out my parlay....ball st -300 or kent st -350?
Not sure but Ball State probably has to win to get to a bowl while Kent State is just passing time before next week's MAC Championship game. Both seem like good picks though.

what ya think about temple +245? Syracuse is already bowl eligible correct?
I don't pay attention or follow the Big East at all. Some of the other fellas might be able to help though.

i'll try a road team parlay...

11/23/2012 12:00 PM College Football 111 Nebraska* -850 vs Iowa

11/23/2012 1:00 PM College Football 117 Ball State* -300 vs Miami Ohio

11/23/2012 2:30 PM College Football 129 LSU* -425 vs Arkansas

I'm stuck at work basically by myself, looking for something to help me kill the day. If any Big East folks like a side of this I'd be grateful.

Syracuse -7.5

Despite some heavy fog early this morning, the weather in Philly looks like it will be about 50°F and partly cloudy, with wind between 5-10 mph and only a 10% chance of rain. The Syracuse offense should be able to do their thing today without being slowed by the weather. Their defense has been pretty good against the run and should be able to force Temple to pass on third down, and Temple’s passing game leaves much to be desired. The only thing that might work against us is that Temple has nothing to lose and might pull out all the stops, and teams have burned ‘Cuse for three touchdowns in the last five games on the “trick play” throwback pass. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me three times, shame on amnesia. So hopefully they will be prepared. Also, Syracuse is playing its fourth game in 21 days and its third road game during that stretch. But when it all boils down, ‘Cuse is the deeper, more experienced team. And that’s who I am putting my money on for some early morning degenerate NCAA wagering. Syracuse wins by 20.

#10 Scheduling

Make plans with your number two girl as early in the week as possible. The earlier you make the plans the better. You will provide her something to look forward to and give the illusion that she is your top priority. Her resulting enthusiasm will compound continuously throughout the week. Keep her expectations low and scheduling as simple as possible by reserving all spontaneous plans for your number one girl.

I ended up following this one. Can't get much closer...but the over hit. Thanks!

I'm making up as many stupid fake rumors as I can in that "Maryland to the B1G" thread, apparently a dumb rumor about the Big 12, Big 10, and SEC forming a super-conference. :lmao:
