FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (12 Viewers)

Here are my bowl totals, didn't add up the units but I think I might be down a couple of units but not much more.

Autoplay 5-2

Sides 8-20

Totals 18-8-2

Not even sure what to say about that, some really good and some really bad there. Keep in mind I'm about 60-65% on sides the past two years combined during the regular season.

Coincidence I bet 28 of each also.

Nene and Crawford out tonight. Thunder -12. It's starting to steam...
Thunder look horrendous
Yeah, it's over. Did that line ever move on the news? I actually had it 11 1/2 and I think Rude got a better line after the fact as well. Just curious, I don't follow NBA lines by any means.
GPJippling> I'm never betting an NBA side again. Props, yes. Sides, no.I thought Crawford/Nene would be worth 3-4 points? Don't know what it closed at.

Despite the high score, I still had a great night. Even got to win 2 units by placing a halftime bet on the 2nd half over from 40,000 feet in the sky. GB wifi on planes.

:hifive:

[icon] and his three months worth of Notre Dame +16 teasers is on suicide watch right now.
:lmao: Dude I bet so small scale that I lost nothing more than a good night at the bars. I was enjoying yet another SEC Title. 'twas house money to begin with. Gambling gods giveth and they taketh away... I've seen your posted plays on the gambling thread so I know you smell what I'm steppin' in ;)

Yeah I was 26-28-2, that's still better than 0-178. :DETA: I really was worried though

There used to be a separate thread for each sportThen there was a single thread that got restarted roughly every 6 months(usually football season and non-football season)Then there was this thread and it just kept goingI think this thread is the best we've come up with so far

If there was a scale that went from miserable to really, really happy, where would you be? You don’t really have to answer. But consider this: The people who say that they are miserable are usually comparing themselves to someone they think is better off. While the people who are happy usually don’t compare themselves to anybody at all. They just look around themselves, and inside themselves, and they like what they see. So if you’ve been trying to keep up with the Joneses, maybe you should give yourself a break. In fact, invite the Joneses over for a barbecue. Tell them how happy you are to have them as neighbors. And they might just feel the same way about you. And you might just end up agreeing that the happiest people in the world aren’t those with the most money, they’re the ones with the most friends. Happy Birthday, Wagering Thread.

I would say really happy. Not two reallys, just one.

I'm content. 3 whole years??? Damn, they do really grow up fast. Before you know it, our little girl will be all grown up and will be getting oogled on TV by Brent Musberger. I'm really liking the 49ers this weekend.

Contest applies to me too but I mostly trend more towards really happy than I do to unhappy. I'm on Baltimore/Denver OVER even with the expected snow.

Content: My job has caused me to move 7 times in the past decade all over the country, which makes it difficult to find new friends. I attend baseball games alone most of the time just to get out of the house but spend far too much time in my apartment reading, drinking, gambling, hanging out with my dog, putting together playlists on spotify or over at the casino playing poker. However, I get to come and go as I please with no love interest currently and watch more sports than most people on this planet being that I have little to no social life, and I make more money than I know how to spend which makes living much more comfortable.

I like the 9ers as well. I'm surprised that Vegasinsider currently has 65% on GB +3.

Green Bay doesn’t have much of a run game to defend. And SF ranks fourth in passing defense, already having won on the road at New England, New Orleans, and Green Bay. Combine that with the advantage SF has with their run game (4th ranked rushing offense v 17th ranked rushing defense) and I think we have ourselves a winner.SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS -3 Even300/300

San Fran/GB just feels like too much of a toss up to me to even bet on that line.Would need it to move off of the key number and read the sharps report to do anything with it.Would you really be surprised if Kaepernick wasn't up to the task and ARod shredded the Niners?Would you really be surprised if the Niners destroy the Packers with their defense?I wouldn't be surprised with either. I don't pass on much but this is a true pass for me

I'm loving Atl -2.5. In particular with homefield and Clemons out. Let's talk this out. Anyone leaning Sea? Porque?
Added in that Seattle had to fly across the country to Washington, back to Seattle and now back to Altanta. ( I assume as I have not seen a report that they were staying on the East Coast). That is 3 cross county flights in 7 days before playing. Advantage: Atlanta

Justin Smith's health is a big concern for SF. He says he's going to play but Im not sure how effective his pass rush will be with a torn muscle in his arm.

I read somewhere that only one other team in history has won in that situation, but a lot of other stats do lean the Seahawk way such as 2 posts above yours.

They were talking about this on the radio this morning and I think they said Seattle is the second youngest team in the NFL, so the travel means less to younger bodies. At some point you have to throw out the side shows and just concentrate on the teams. Atlanta can't run and Seattle has the best secondary in pro football. That match-up alone leads me to not touch Atlanta and any Falcons backers should carefully look at Atlanta's schedule this year. I have Seattle teasers at this point, I personally would not bet the side but Atlanta -2.5 is not a terrible bet. If it goes to three, Seattle.

Clemons is a significant loss, but I can't imagine a worse matchup for Atlanta.Seattle has the best secondary in the league by far, which will limit the damage from Julio and Roddy. Atlanta's run game is garbage too. And I expect the Seattle offense to move the ball nearly at will against the soft Falcons defense.Whenever Atlanta gets in a hole, all that pressure of having never won a playoff game will start building as well. Seattle is just rolling anyone they face right now. That DC game wasn't as close as it looked after a quick start by DC.

GB @ SFThe argument for GB as I see it. GB did just get Woodson back which will help that D tremendously. Kaepernick is a rookie qb making his first playoff start so it would not be at surprising if he is not settled in for a least a half. SF is pretty banged up with Manningham and Kyle Williams both on IR. SF's passing game is Crabtree, and aging Moss and Davis who has been a disappearing act. Caoch Harbaugh has already said that Aj Jenkins will need to step up - who? That's right - a guy who dropped his only target in week 17 and has zero catches this year. Gore is a good solid back but it is not like playing against AP.On the other side, is Justin Smith really going to be healthy? SF D is not the same without him. Dude has a torn Tricep and by all medical accounts would need 12 weeks to recovery enough to be effective, without surgery. It has only been since December 16th when he tore it. I will believe Smith is healthy when I see it. Also, GB seems to have a decent RB in Harris. Looking at GB, Nelson is pretty banged up and Cobb is not 100% either. We all know GB is not built to play grind it out football for 60 minutes and wants Rodgers to throw. That D had also been lit up at times this season.Bottom line is that I am not sure which side is the "right" side, but luckily we have a couple more days to figure it out.
