FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (5 Viewers)

What we liking teaser wise this week?
NODetNYJ :X GB (hopefully but doubt it)IndyNE(if it stays at 7, which i doubt)Philly
I can't get the Jets as it's -9 -115 so likely not coming back. Hesitant with Indy, but will likely play. Not sure about NE, probably a no play with the line at 6.5For me it's:NODetIndyAtlPossibly Miami.
I'm guessing we'll still see some line moves before gametime on Sunday

Any thoughts on Penn St. @ Temple. Line opened at 10 and is now 7.5. I liked PSU before the line movement, smells fishy.
Agree. Looking at this match up, you would figure Penn St would beat Temple until they start screamin like fax machines receiving. History shows that they match up a little closer each year. I still think Penn giving 7.5 is a good bet though I'm personally staying away from this one.

So lay the points with LSU tonight?
Talking to some buddies who are big MSU homers last night.... It's the first home game of the season, they're doing a full-on Whiteout at the stadium... the crowd will be very very riled up. However IMO, Mississippi State just doesn't have the talent to match up with LSU right now. It should be a great game but I think LSU covers. I would consider buying the hook though...

hating this game tonight. Must...resist...urge...to bang...for no good reason.

Classic "NCAA mid-week home dog nationally televised" play. The only thing better would be if MissSt. was actually unranked.

But I think LSU is the better team by a touchdown, at least.

For action don't overthink and just hit the midweek home dog. Rule #3 of gambling is: Don't be a hero.

Yeah.....better lay off......i'm sure you have much better things to do than gamble on a thursday night college football game.....maybe the salon is still open and you can get a mani-pedi while you catch up on the kardashians

Remember my buddy who kills totals? He doesn't play them just to play them. In fact, he had nothing last week.Just sent this email, and I quote:

Troy/Arkansas goes WAY over 63
I'll post more if he sends more.

When looking at this matchup I saw this:
Petrino did say junior running back Dennis Johnson practiced Sunday and could return this week after missing the first two games with a hamstring injury. Johnson missed most of last season after suffering a bowel injury in the second game.

In on the total. How does one go about injuring the bowels?

Taco Bell next door to the stadium?

He got hit in the gut on a kickoff return.I've got Arkansas covering as my last play in a progressive parlay, but I'm getting a little antsy.

For those playing the over, take into consideration that Arkansas will be without two of its top WRs - Greg Childs and Jarius Wright. They are still loaded at that position, but it could have some impact.

I would expect Arkansas to score in the 40-50 range but would lean toward it being on the lower end of that range (also rain in the forecast). So that means to hit the over you need to expect Troy to land in the 13-23 range - and would probably need them to land on the high end.

Arkansas's defense is very good - generally considered #3 in the SEC behind LSU and Alabama. Troy put up 19 against Clemson in week 1, but Arkansas' defense is vastly superior to Clemson. Arkansas currently is #16 in total defense; Clemson is #90 (Clemson gave up 27 points to the Wofford Terriers).

My guess Troy tops out at 13, meaning Arkansas needs 50.

I wouldn't play it, but if I did, I'd take the under.

Arkansas 45-13.

Also appears Arkansas starting QB had a concussion last time out. In a blowout how long would they want to keep playing him?

Saturday's card so far from my "Hammer Time email list syndicate"...

hmm, they look good. I forgot i had to wait until Saturday night for 5dimes to get any up, but i think i will tail on quite a few of these

I've read pretty much everything the touts are saying about today's Penn State @ Temple game, and watched the line drop, etc., etc...

...I don't ever let my allegiance to the Nittany Lions get in the way of making sensible choices when gambling, but today I'm' BUYING Penn State in pretty big chunks. I know PSU didn't put up exceptional yardage #'s in the season opener vs Indiana State. I know that from a statistical standpoint, Alabama beat them worse than 27-11. Mike Gerardi and Bernard Pierce are legitimate offensive options for the Owls, I know. I also know that Temple has played Villanova and Akron, and this is a huge jump up for them, former Temple HC Al Golden (a PSU Alum and Paterno protegee) is now Coaching in Miami, Fla, and after a few games of QB roulette, Penn State has settled on a strategy of pounding Silas Redd 1st, slashing Stephfon Greene 2nd, and letting everything else flow from that moving forward, and that this game, against a vastly inferior opponent, they are going to do just that, and they are going to win this one handily. This is a home game for Penn State no matter if it's in Happy Valley, or outside Philadelphia, and they are looking to get some frustrations out after last week. By the 4th Quarter, the Temple rush defense is going to be so tired of being pounded, they are going to give up massive chunks of yardage, and the scoreboard, the clock and the crowd will continue to work against them as well. You can still get PSU -7 at even money when I checked in this morning. That's way too good to pass up.

Good Luck!

A 13-0 National champion faces a 6-7 team they have beaten 13 consecutive times.

I gotta take Auburn on the money line here (+140)

Uggh, I need a stupid parlay for Sunday, but all I see is road favorites and big numbers. What do people like?
After last week, I'm all over Pittsburgh -14 and Pats-Chargers over 53.5. I also like the Bills -3 with the Raiders traveling from the other coast.Good luck with whatever you do.
