FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (10 Viewers)

I really, really, really don't want to play these shitty bowl games tomorrow.

Every time I bet a bowl game just for the sake of betting a bowl game, it turns out poorly.

I'm going to drag myself out to go Christmas shopping instead.
I think there are some good plays tomorrow. Still can't get a handle on the ULL/SDSU game though, but the line did finally move today.
The only play that's tempting is Utah State. I can't get the image out of my head of USU almost winning at Auburn in the season opener. They lost 42-38, but they should have won. They blew a 10-point lead with 2:00 left. Fruit Loops' kid has been playing well, but Ohio doesn't have that kind of impressive effort on their résumé.Also, the Aggies are 7-5 after starting out 2-5.
I've watched theme and they are good. Easy pick for me. They definitely shoulda beat CSU AND BYU.

#### it, I'm taking Montana at half. They can't stop that back but they did catch a few bad breaks in the first half and I'm pretty sure they'll keep coming so the backdoor is open all night.

ETA AND the over.

Anyone who took Canisius suposedly got away with murder. They counted a last second basket that they probably should not have counted for the cover.

Really what happened? it said 72-65 with 1.0 second left, then 72-67.
Only going by what they said on yahoo chat. Was some confusion at the end. My guess is someone hucked up a shot at the buzzer and because it meant to differance to the score they counted it.

I really, really, really, really like the Bulls +3 on XMas.
How 'bout some season win totals from you? You're a basketball nut aren't you? I think Ferris too. Maybe start a thread and hash it all out with capella et al. I love those totals and some people on here kill it (I'M LOOKING AT YOU DEXTER MANLEY).I already know I'm fading MY Lakers...have to.

Sweet. UMKC had the ball with 1.0 left according to ESPN which makes it even stranger. Too bad this powerhouse matchup wasn't on ESPNBTW, never underestimate the power of the Sicilians

I don't think the Lakers are going to be as good either, hence the bet on the Bulls. They are going to miss Bynum and Odom badly. I have only seen team totals in a couple places, and the one that jumped out was the Nets o21.5. Will do more research this weekend.NBA futures don't offer a whole lot of value, but here's what I have so far:OKC +750 to win NBA titleSA +750 to win the SouthwestIrving +600 to win ROY

That's funny, I'm on OKC too. Don't know if you saw that in the hoops thread where they were showing futures, but I was asking what OKC was because they were left out for some reason. Those are the only two plays I knew I was making. I don't enough about the rest.

Hockey Prop update

We thought we were ready. We figured if we could at least go 2-3 tonight and hit our three star play we would be ready to strike up the band for the year.

Three star play of the night - Stars under 26.5

Final Stars shots 36.

:wall:

Good thing we have used our experiance to know you need to hold off till the trends set in otherwise we would have gone broke before we got started.

From Sportsb00k.For a limited time, we’re giving you the chance to win 50% Cash Back on a 2012 NBA Champion futures wager. Place a wager of $10.00 or more on the team you think will win the NBA Championship next June. If your pick reaches the Conference Finals but doesn’t win it all, we’ll give you 50% Cash Back, up to $100.00, on the first futures wager placed between 6pm ET on Friday, Dec. 16 and the season tip-off at 12pm ET on Sunday, Dec. 25.

OKC is only +500 at sportsbook though.

Along these lines - Miami more or less has to make the conferance finals so long as LBJ makes it though the season alive?

Am I the only one watching this compulsive Washington game? ####inA, what a swing that was, up 10, down 1. W'ere toast now, god dammit.

Gonna see what kind of run I can get on this bowl season (0-0).

Temple v. Wyoming(+7)

Temple is incredible on the ground, but a team who can only rush the ball, AND they hail from the MAC conference who is notoriously inconsistent in bowls. 7 point favorites who are one dimensional have never worked out for me. I think Wyoming has enough defense to keep this one close, and might even score the upset.

Wyoming +7

Not sure I'll be around tonight or tomorrow in the AM so here's what I'm doing so far.

WAS/NYG over 46.5

Temple BIG today.

Wyoming is a lucky 8-4, Temple is a is on a warming trend leading to what is going to be a red-hot 2012 Season behind star recruit freshman QB Chris Coyer running the Temple spread.

Chris Coyer took over during the game after Temple's bye week late in the season, and they haven't been the same since, winning out. Coyer is an average passer, but he's got enough skills to get the job done. However, he's an absolutely DYNAMIC running QB who seriously has the skills to be one of the best rushing QB's in recent college history, including Tim Tebow, who the Temple coach position coached at Florida. Temple was already one of the better rushing Teams in the nation with a talented twosome of Matt Brown and Bernard Pierce, adding Coyer into the mix made them that much stronger.

Temple is a better overall Team than Wyoming and is superior to them in all 3 main facets of the game, and the biggest gap is between Temple's ground attack and Wyoming's rush defense. So Temple is the better Team, and what they are best at is what Wyoming is worst at...Wyoming has gone 4-0 in close games (3 points or less), and they've capitalized on a bunch of fumble recoveries, which are one of the most random occurances in football. Temple is really solid at holding on to the ball. The RB's have solid hands, and Coyer is a great student of running with the football over forcing it into coverage when there's nothing there.

Coyer banged up his shoulder, and was pulled in the 1st series of the season finale win vs Kent St...I guess that has something to do with this line being -7, but Coyer is rested and fine now, and he's the entrenched starter.

Wyoming gets exposed as the lucky team they've been all year today, as they are absolutely overmatched in this game.

Bet Temple heavy, sit back and collect your winnings while previewing one of the most exciting young and upcoming QB's in college football, Chris Coyer. This kid could make us a lot of money in 2012.

Good Luck!!!

How many Wyoming games have you seen this year? I think I've only caught a few minutes of one.Not sure what to make of this matchup.

One CFB play and some early CBB plays/

GOING FOR WINNING DAY #5 IN A ROW

CFB

1u ULL +4

CBB

2u Dartmouth +2

1u Detroit +2.5

BMJ/tjnc, would you mind explaining a little bit about your system? I've gleaned that it has something to do with line movement, but I'm interested to learn more. TIA.

1U St. Joseph's -3 vs Villanova.

Villanova is a young team, and St. Joe's is pretty hot as of late. This is the first time Villanova is going to play this rivalry game at St. Joseph's home gym, as this game has always been played historically at the Palestra at the University of Pennsylvania. Small gym, will be rowdy and St. Joseph's plays well there. No matter how good or bad they are, SJU will treat this like their NCAA championship game and always come out playing well. Taking SJU to cover and not looking back.
