My sister married a Steelers fan and now she's "all in" on being a fan. She has never been interested in sports before, besides the Pistons maybe. So she starts this facebook thread with all the exciting Steelers moments highlighted. After they lost I said, "Steelers blow, embarrassing loss."She says, "don't hate the Steelers, hate the stupid rules" because somehow in her mind (and quite possibly my BIL's mind) the Steelers lost that game in OT because the NFL changed the OT rules. I consider this to be a mix of cute, obnoxious and downright sickening.

just remind her about how bad the rules are when the Steelers have a blatent fumble giving the ball to the Broncos on the 18, but they can't review it because the refs blew the whistle, or whatever goofy thing they said. that would have ended the game there and was the start of the Steelers come backand a lot of missed calls in that game, the facemask on Tebow on the final drive the Broncos had was pretty awful

I want to talk with my sister about sports about as much as I want to talk to her about her menstrual cycle.

I still think it's a defensive battle, but I don't think it's going to be 9-6 again. I almost expect at least 1 score off of ST or Defense. I don't get this logic. If Bama's kicker wasn't awful and they won the first time, it'd be more difficult for Alabama to win this time? That doesn't make sense. The Saints beat the Lions in the regular season, and then they beat them soundly in the playoffs. And it wasn't hard, for them. LSU's special teams are awesome. In a track meet that might not matter as much when you're just booting XP's and covering kick offs, but in a defensive struggle, it takes on added importance.LSU +2.
