FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (3 Viewers)

Anyone think there's value in Obama for Virginia and/or Colorado?Sportsbook lists both as a toss up but 538 rates Obama as about a 70% favorite in each.
I would love to know if anybody plays any of these. I tried playing some Obama plays at sportsbook with what i had left in my acct. there, and everything i tried was a $10 limit. I asked them about it, and they said it was a system decision, and nothing to do with my account. They said they would send an email to follow up, but i would love to know if anybody is able to play any of those plays for more than $10
Looks like the limit for me is $500

Tony Gonzalez (Falcons) Will He Score a Touchdown

YES -105

Worth a shot with the lockdown corners of the Cowboys. Gonzo should have his way in the middle of the field.

Didn't you see that the Redskins lost today?
I hope you think better of me than to believe I'm serious. New post on 538 re: Virginia went up tonight: link

Mr. Obama is a 71 percent favorite in Virginia, according to the current FiveThirtyEight forecast. The model projects Virginia to be on of the closest states, with Mr. Obama prevailing by 1.5 percentage points. If Mr. Romney over-performs his polling even slightly on Election Day, Virginia’s 13 electoral votes will end up in the Republican column.

 I still can't figure out why i am such a dope and have an account still open with them after i have had to play this game with them for 4+ years, or however long it has been. thanks for letting me know though, maybe i will go and pick a fight with them later, though i know it is impossible to win against them. I need GR pull or something to get them to stop dicking me around

So do they not believe in the undefeated falcons, giving too much respect to the Cowboys, or they just begging you to take the Falcons? I don't know why this line isn't higher.
my guess is people are banking on the Falcons having to lose at some point. In my opinion, I definitely don't think it is tonight with no Demarco Murray and Sean Lee. The Falcons secondary can get burned a bunch, but they also can gamble a lot and luckily with Romo it should pay off well. I got a bunch riding to win with teh falcons, and now i am just thinking if i need to hedge or not :coffee: I'm thinking let it ride....ETA: the line has moved quite a bit too. I got it originally at -3, and for it to move to 4.5 means that a lot of money had to come in on the Falcons
Where did you get the line at 3? The SHARPS report, as an example, disagrees with you wholeheartedly, GB."DALLAS AT ATLANTA: ... Atlanta opened at -4.5, but has been bet down to -4. Stat guys who believe turnovers regress to the mean are enthusiastic about Dallas posting some results in the coming weeks. The Cowboys have playoff caliber raw stats but a horrible turnover differential. Sharps who think Tony Romo is a turnover machine aren’t betting the Cowboys."

Also of note, Steve Smith had the best TD dance this weekend imo hth.
Vegas Insider has it opened at -3.

Am I crazy for thinking that A&M is in play at +14 1/2 or better? I don't think Johnny Football sweats too much and this is a letdown spot if there ever was one for the Tide.Thoughts?
A&M doesn't have the defense to hang with Bama IMO. Bama should be able to control the clock and keep A&M's defense on the field.

Doug Martin gained a bunch on RGIII today for ROY. Luck already at 5 wins too.
Today I vote:1 Luck2 RG33 Martin4 Richardson5 Morris
@Jacksonville on Thursday is a winnable one for them too. That would put them at 6 wins with 7 games to play.Winning 4 of those would give the Colts a great chance of making the playoffs - 3 and its iffy@NEvs BUF@DETvs TEN@HOU@KCvs HOUThey should win at least 2 at home (3 if HOU rests its starters)I see 1 win (DET) on the road assuming @KC in December is a lossShould be interesting for Luck

Doesnt have anything to do with the discussion, but Andrew Luck is going to be a mega stud in the NFL. Not going out on a limb or anything with that, but Christ almighty...he has a quick release, a super strong arm, and is probably already as smart as 50% of the QBs in the NFL and getting smarter every half.

What kind of HOF odds could we get on him right now?

Yeah I was quoting from RN's SHARPS REPORT. RN? : SHRUG:

If any of us got a hold of the game plan for tonight we could have made a killing on the under.
One yard and a turf burn.
This feels an awful lot like that Cowboys game earlier in the year (i think their 1st game against the Giants) where the 1st half was like this, and the 2nd half they came out a little more gunning and the 2nd half over was the play. I may take a gander at it if the 2nd half line is pretty enough

and Jesus H., the Falcons secondary can't tackle for anything. I guess we all knew this with Dunta and Asuante back there, but still. Doesn't look good for the Falcons if they have to keep relying on their secondary making tackles off of 3-yd. and 5-yd. passes

Never done 6 plays on a game before (besides superbowl), but I like these a lot.

.8

Jimmy Graham (Saints) Total Receiving Yards - Must Play

Over 60.5 (-115)

.8

Jimmy Graham (Saints) Total Receptions - Must Play

Over 5 (even)

1.4

Lance Moore (Saints) Total Receptions - Must Play

Over 4 (-125)

1.3

Jeremy Maclin (Eagles) Total Receiving Yards - Must Play

Over 53.5 (-115)

1.3

DeSean Jackson (Eagles) Total Receptions - Must Play

Over 4.5 (-145)

.8

Michael Vick (Eagles) Total Passing Yards - Must Play

Over 263.5 (-115)

I'll be looking to play the over and the Falcons as long as the number is under whatever it takes for them to win outright, which I think they will. Matty Ice doesn't lose at home.

sure Falcons, don't call a time out here. No point in trying to score before the half, right?
Why would you let the Cowboys run the clock down 35+ seconds from 1:40 to 1:10, just to get the ball with 50 seconds or so left and try to run it up the field?

 They kicked a FG
Yeah, but don't you think they could have managed the clock better? I guess maybe not, and they were playing it that way on purpose. just seems kind of silly to let all that time burn off the clock, I guess they were anticipating running the no huddle and getting good movement.

I took over 23 anyway. I undid all of yesterday's good today and then some. Time to get some back.

people clearly on Dallas as you can get ATL even money at -3 now. Pretty tempting.
i'm guessing it has most to do with people hedging their original Atl bets, rather than faith in the Cowboys. I do agree the Falcons still should win this, the question is can they beat by more than a FG

Never hedge out of GR props...what's the play?

only two sides I like next week are WKU -16.5 and Air Force +9.5.

Actually I like Fresno -2.5 but can't bet against Nevada.

I like Pit -3.5 on Friday. I am usually an Air Force backer, love them as a double digit dog mostly but they really melted down vs an inferior Army team this past week. Gonna have to think about that one.

Anyone have their spouse sign up for a SB account, and successfully keep it? Wondering if its worth the bother? Same address and computer, different last name and banking info. Do they track by name, address, IP, MAC address? all the above?

Why not just create a second account at a different IP with wife name? Like work, a restaurant near your house with wifi, etc. Establish it there, place bets via your mobile device and you should be good I'd think.

Could totally see Pitt laying an egg after the way the lost to Notre Dame.

They weren't supposed to even come close to ND. I see the opposite happening, now they actually think they are pretty good and they smoke an inferior team.

I think 3-4 is probably the correct spread so I don't see a lot of value one way or the other. With UCONN having the hook I'd lean with the home team, especially considering the circumstances, but I don't see the game as a play one way or the other at this point. Good Luck!

i still believe that these "regular" refs are not that much better than the replacement refs that were around. There have been a few bad calls today. just seems that "regular" refs had the media and a lot of others on their side. I just wish they would keep it up with these refs and rip into them a bit more

I whole heartedly disagree.

Maybe, just might be that i am remembering a few from today that it seems won't get discussed. and great stop their Dallas. A 6 point Atlanta win will be fine, though i bought out of a lot of my original bet with the 2nd half bet. and great call by Al Michaels, always giving the love to the gamblers
