FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (4 Viewers)

The election is over - Barry gets 4 more years
Free :moneybag:
Plus mo doesn't have to get a second job now.
:hifive: Certainly helps a bunch. Happy that we have some UFC cards coming up too, hoping to get a nice run to get some cash before the holidaysStill hate the Eagles though, have to hate those 4-figure turnarounds. Really weren't asking that much for them to get a TD out of that special teams play or their chances in the red zone :kicksrock:

How long will it take the books to grade these bets?
That's the main reason I didn't get action down on Obama. Until these are officially official in every state, I could see books sandbagging grading them.
I'm thinking tomorrow night
RB just grading mine. Still waiting on sportsbook, and i need to check what cash i have at 5dimes and maybe even thegreek to see if there is any there i put on the election. Maybe even betus.com too, had a lot of late nights and that was my bet du jour for awhile.

Teased Jaguars 7 points with the following teams:Jags +10 1/2Steelers -6Texans +8Seahawks pickRavens -2Panthers +11
 I am supposd to be taking a deep breath and playing more conservative for a bit, but i like quite a few of these. I have to ask though, why you loving Jax so much Gussy? I think i like them too, but would like to hear your reasoning. There are a couple of those numbers i don't get as good, but one i think you can add is Dallas +5. I think i have a whole lot of hate for the Eagles these days, giving Cowpokes +5. My favorites might be Dal +5, Sea (pk), Steelers -6, Car +11, and maybe some others, but a good start

How much do we stand to win in the thread if Obama wins?
I have no idea since I made so many different bets, but I could probably lose about 2.5k if he blew this one.
Obviously not going to tabulate it all, but it would be funny to see how much the thread takes down
$2650 to win ~$1000 here

Remember the OT discussion we had in here about a year ago re: the best store-bought pasta sauces?

Tried this tonight.

OMFG! Highly recommended, especially if you like a little spicy kick to your sauce. Fantastic.

Another prop there I like is: Will FL have the smallest popular vote margin (Yes +290). Both 538 and the Princeton guys think Florida is the closest state.
For what it's worth it sure don't seem like it in Palm Beach County. About 6 weeks ago the Jewish vote turned on Obama in a huge way. They have signs up all over the place that simply say "Oy Vey Obama".PBC is the Whitest and Richest County in Florida so I guess a grain of salt is in order, but I don't think it will be close from what I see day to day.
I think this prop should hit, right? Every other state has been called. Florida the only one that is too close to call.Clean sweep on the election! GB America.

I hit on WI, CO, VA, and the FL prop above plus the EV. :moneybag: :banned: :towelwave:

Fl, Oh or Va. All three were very close

I think the Jags are terrible, but you really think the Colts are 10 1/2 better than ANYBODY (and by anybody, I mean the worst team in the NFL, Jags/Chiefs) on the ROAD? I mean, I get that they've won 3 in a row against the BROWNS, TITANS AND DOLPHINS, 2 OF WHICH WERE AT HOME, and I too think Andrew Luck is the best thing since sliced bread, but I'm getting 10 1/2 points here with a home dog against an average to below average NFL team. The Colts are not as good as their record would indicate. I'm just looking for value brother, looking for value.

As far as Dallas, they've been on my auto fade list for a few weeks now. Philly just joined them after Monday night. When 2 auto fades play each other, I just stay away. Wouldn't touch either, even in a 13 point tease.

This guy is partying today

Where can you get down 40k on an election bet like that?
Betfair, matchbook, degenerate poker friends with large bankrollsI know for the next election in 2014 I'll have an intrade account funded, should be an easy couple thousand bucks available, more for the 2016 presidential election. After this election politics just got way more interesting to me.

Going st8 betting rookie tonight. 2 different 6 team teasers. I am pairing up BG +9 with both Tulsa and Marshall, crossing zero in both situations.

Tonight will be the Bobcats' third game in twelve days. Bowling Green is coming off their bye week.
Some trends fwiw:The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Bowling Green's last 5 games on the road.Bowling Green is 6-13 SU in its last 19 games on the road.Ohio is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games when playing Bowling Green.Ohio is 3-10 ATS in its last 13 games when playing Bowling Green.

As a Barca supporter, my spidey-sense was tingling about something weird going down today. Did I put down a little bet at +2000 just in case I was right? Noooooo! :wall:

A William Hill betting shop client who two days ago placed a bet of £30,000 on Barack Obama to win the U.S. Presidential Election will collect £67,500, according to a press release from the UK-based bookmaker.Another client, from Thailand who staked $30,000 U.S. is also a winner, as is the Russian who staked £13,600 on Obama - but the customer who risked £25,000 on a Mitt Romney victory wasn't so fortunate.“We took over £1million worth of bets on the US Election for the first time and suffered a relatively modest five figure loss thanks to Barack Obama's supporters,” said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe. “If nothing else, this election has proved that the bookies are a better guide to the outcome of the election than the pollsters who had it a far closer race than we did.”William Hill opened the Democrats and Republicans with an equal chance to win the 2016 election, pitting them both at 11/10 odds.

The woman cancelled on me because her babysitter was already committed. <_<

But she wants to meet at my house during the day tomorrow to do homework.

So what better way to pass the time tonight than with two super sexy NCAA under totals.

So you're saying the Bobcats will be in sync and running like normal and Bowling Green will be rusty from a week off right?
Your guess is as good as mine. But I had overlooked their schedules while I was looking for injury info and when I realized it just thought I'd post because I think that's the reason the line moved down so much. Ohio is obv the better team. I like the sexy unders tonight.

I don't think Ohio is "obv" the better team. This BG D isn't bad. I think under is the play, but 48 is a fairly sharp line for a midweek MAC game.

I’m still thinking about the 1H over last night. Did you guys notice how a kid extended a red zone drive with a personal foul headbutt, and on the very next play the refs negated a touchdown with a personal foul low blocking penalty?

That kind of rubbed me the wrong way, especially knowing that a lot of money was on the over in that game. It was kind of like a penalty in the NBA, where they make that call just to “even things out”.

There were also a few, two maybe even three touchdowns negated by blocking fouls on the wideouts.

And let us not forget that Toledo is the one school that got caught shaving points a bunch of years ago.Yeah last night was So..... Fustrating. The refs took 2 TD off the board. They took a third by calling the 15 yarder you mentioned. We had four different drives that stalled out at the 20 by very curious play calling. We also had a clear pick 6 but even with a 4 on 1 convoy the player got run out of bounds on the 15 followed by three and out and a missed FG.It really was the NIU bowl game all over. No way any of the unders should have paid yet somehow they all did except the ball st TT.

TCU +7 2u

Not sure if TCU will win (although I'm likely to take some of the ML also) but they have a good offense and a very good defense. Their strength is in their front seven and they'll force Klein to beat their DBs by pressing the line of scrimmage. I think TCU will have success running and they'll have to get the ball to Boyce in the passing game to pull off the upset.

USC -9

The game will slow down for USC this week, Arizona State is no Oregon. I was impressed with USC's determination last week once they got down big early, this team has layers and layers of talent and they will be able to dominate both lines of scrimmage.

Navy/Troy Over 58

Troy will score 30 points in this game and I don't think they'll win. Navy is starting to gel as a team and they have the ability to score on every drive vs this really, really bad Troy defense. May also play Navy -1, they are better than Tennessee and it's gonna be sunny and 72 making for a fast track vs an over-matched defense.
