Adding Georgia/Georgia Tech UNDER 64Looked at this one earlier in the week and forgot to dig into it further. Georgia has the 18th best scoring defense and Georgia Tech has been running up their point totals on some very inferior defensive competition. BYU is probably the best defensive team they've played and they scored 17 points. Georgia scrimmaged against Georgia Southern last week who runs the same O as Ga Tech, I think that will help them here and Georgia has just played superior competition all year. Highest total for this game in a long time, last year they combined for 48. I say Georgia 35 Ga Tech 17 with some room to give.
:goodposting:Georgia Tech vs. Georgia Under 64 -110330/300Georgia has prepared for this game for the past two weeks by practicing for the Georgia Southern triple-option for a week, playing Georgia Southern live, and then practicing for another week for Georgia Tech.

2 units here, really like this one.

OK gents, so ND -5.5 vs a 7-4 team sans Barkley on the road is a gift, no? I am also factoring in getting teeth kicked in on previous matchups (9-1 non NCAA vacated) and the final barrier to a NC game.
USC wins outright IMO.
Still have no idea why people think this (stuckey on them too FWIW). Public loves USC but maybe they didn't watch UCLA just dominate them last week, it was pretty bad. Now you throw a new QB out there against a top five defense in the country and they are the team to beat? I just don't buy it, I want it to be true but wanting it to be true doesn't mean it will happen.
Call it a hunch. H-U-G-E spot for the Irish, to say the least. They haven't had pressure like this in two decades. I think they crumble. Not too worried about the backup QB angle. Every QB on SC's roster had scholarship offers from hundreds of schools. Hopefully talent >>> lack of experience. Lastly, I simply do not believe in Notre Dame's offense, which is the single-biggest reason I see the upset.
I hear ya man, I want to play USC but just think it's the wrong side. This is coming from a guy who watched botht he Michigan and Pittsburgh games whistle to whistle, Notre Dame definitely can be had. But they DO HAVE a legit D and this is a tough spot for a raw QB. Add in USC's D which has looked horrendous this year and I'm :scared:I am thinking I might try the under 46.5 though. What do you think about that?
OK gents, great discussion above. I appreciate it. I don't know, I just see this as a good spot to get the Irish cheap, albeit risky. Enough good angles to get the #1 in a must win for a cheap ATS price. So I'm just going to go for it. Also doing a little early morning parlay to get the day going, feeling like I want to get after it and won't be home in the afternoon. Haven't bet EPL in awhile, so we're gonna throw that in and roll with a parlay.QPR/ManU O3.5 EVEN and Irish -5.5.Pays 2.8/1, so will throw 1U at this.QPR is decimated by injuries, and probably will get smoked at home. This should be a layup for ManU, and from what I'm reading, play is the over here.

I'm sure some of you degenerates have frequented the various sports betting forums out there through the years. What is the deal with 100 units, 50 units, 30 units? Why not just say $30 or one unit?
"Units" are merely a way for people to maintain discretion. Gamblers tend to be paranoid. I can see a guy not wanting to admit that he's got $10,000 on an NFL game for fear (rational or not) that the IRS may be playing Big Brother on the forum. So instead, it's just 10 units. Nobody knows what exactly that means. But they know it's a strong play, which is the point.

And you can ignore "100 Unit" plays. All shtick. Same as our 74-STAR Cadmium Locks.
What's the proper unit to bankroll proportion? I really should take this stuff seriously and not just willy nilly like I have been. Also, don't people play teasers for less than their normal units? Is there a good intro book to all of this, S?

Man, tons of great games today. I have 0 left in my account. It's going to pain me, but I'm just going to sit back and enjoy watching the games

Still have 2 bets out there:

LSU $5 to win $5000 & FSU $5 to win $5000 to win it all, so I'm rooting for the following:

1. Auburn

2. FSU

3. A&M

4. OSU

5. USC

Go out and get drunk one night and I come back into this thread and everyone is talking about the size of their units

Oh, and I have 3 different size units: basketball units (0.5u), regular units (1u), GR units (2u)

A regular unit for me is ~1% of my bankroll

Today's CFB slate:

USC +175

Ohio St. -4

Okie St. +7

Fla. St. -7

Oregon St. +10

Texas Tech +3 1/2

Georgia Tech +14 1/1

UCLA +2

Also a 10 team teaser that is going to make me RICH:

Ohio St. -180

Ga Tech +14 1/1

Tex Tech +3 1/2

Penn St. -2

Fla St. -7

USC +175

Clemson -170

UCLA +125

Oregon St. +10

N. Carolina -24 1/2

I will be playing Clemson just waiting to see if that hook drops off later today. I'm still giving thought to Indiana. My numbers say that game should be a pick em at worst, I think there's value there. The line came down from 6 to 5 overnight. I also like Duke and that line went up to 6 1/2, waiting to see if it gets to 7. I may play the Dukies as well.

Heres mine. I was on Rutgers earlier in the week. Still like it, but the spread is such because Pitt needs to win today and Thursday to be bowl eligible. They blow and don't deserve it, imo. Purdue -5.5. Back on the Rice train even though spread has moved. Duke spread and ML. Middle Tenn. St -3. MIss ST. now even. Monroe -4.

Only a couple noon plays, CFBMich +4Mich/OSU u53
I'm literally on the opposite of both but it's totally betting with my heart :lmao:
Lets watch the game in here...I literally cant stand some of those UM/OSU posters worse than LHUCKS
Works for me. I love the Buckeyes but am not one of those fans that is a blind homer spewing ignorance. This year is great because Michigan is actually decent. It sucks when one team is bad. Having both teams ranked makes for a much more interesting game. Oh and I almost forgot, I have Michigan o8.5 wins on the season. They are sitting at 8, so if they win, I win that bet... I'd much rather have them lose though

Pretty high on ND tonight. I just think that we have a premiere defense for an undefeated team thats squaring off against a Freshman QB getting his first start for a team that's in complete disarray.

There is no denying USC has top shelf talent but I think it takes a great coach to get these kids focused and circle the wagons and, well, kiffin just isn't that guy.

IF ND can get in the young QBs head early and force a mistake or two they can rattle him and this could get ugly. IF this kid gets his legs under him early and builds colnfidence with some big plays, this could come down to the wire.

On the Ore/orest front... Kelly is a great coach and he's gonna have these kids fired up and pissed off about last week. IMO Oregon is in "statement game" mode and is going to stomp a mud hole in State.

I'm on ND / ORE in a tease and then I bought ND down to -3 for 3u. Probably going to parlay ND/ORE as well.

Buckeyes dominant on that opening drive. Strong running game and a long completion. On the board 7-0 in a little over 2 minutes

D made some good reads on the first Michigan drive, but couldn't tackle for crap. Got good pressure on the QB and were able to come away with the fumble recovery.

Michigan with a good defensive stop. Looks like Miller might have hurt his hand on the last play maybe?(For those who don't care about the game, I'll be going to my daughter's gymnastics lessons in a few, so you'll be spared)

Buckeyes give up a 75 yard TD pass. 7-7 game

Early on, the Buckeyes D has me a bit

Just some very bad tackling

over looks like it could be a decent play at this point

Stony Brook will begin the FCS playoffs without starting quarterback Kyle Essington in the lineup. Essington will miss Saturday's first-round game against Villanova because of a right thigh contusion, Newsday reported. Essington is the FCS leader in passing efficiency (175.83) and has thrown for 1,910 yards and 22 touchdowns this season. Backup quarterback Lyle Negron, a junior who has attempted five passes this season, will make his first career start at LaValle Stadium. link

Added:

Penn St. -1 1/2

BYU -27

Oklahoma/Okie St. over 71

Florida/Florida St. under 42

1/2 units on both totals. I will be adding Clemson later today.

somebody might have covered it, but this is pretty good at covering it:http://forums.mmajunkie.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3106

we are going to need one Georgia stop here to make the 1`H under work.
I don't have the 1h u but as far as the game goes, all we need is Georgia to stop Ga Tech in the 2nd half. I think they'll slow it down with the run although I'm not sure if Ga Tech could stop them if they knew what was coming, and Georgia had 9 guys on offense.

31 points scored in the first half of the Buckeyes game. I'll be curious to see what the 2h total is. Somewhere around 31.5 feels about right
