Anyone thinking that Chalk Monday ought to be postponed to Chalk Tuesday? I am just not seeing a whole lot out there this evening. :kicksrock:
The whole point is to parlay it with the Monday Night Football game I thought. It's not necessarily a bet we make to win.
I hear ya. I am down for whatever the group decides. I just figure it is more fun if there are actually games worth paying attention to!!! Maybe we should take an alternate line on MNF.... can you parlay those?
This parlay is +130TennesseeColorado StateOklahoma CityMemphis or ClippersPanthersWith Memphis AND Clippers it's about +150

Just got the company tickets for Grizzlies vs Pistons friday night... will definitely be making an ActionJunkie™ play on that one.

Want to get in on the chalk parlay but I'm betting Oakland standard bet so I'm leaving tenn out. I think I'm with consensus on...

To win their leagues next year:

France: PSG -181 - Will go up even further on today's news. They seem likely to run away with it.

Italy: Juventus +130 - I don't see anyone else that can contend with them right now.

Spain: Barcelona +125 - Good value in a two-horse race coming off an injury-plagued year.

England: Man U +260 - solid value. If Aguero shoots wide against QPR in stoppage time, would Man U be this low as defending champs?
All of these have moved in the right direction, although it's still early.
United picked up a little ground and is sitting at around +175 in Europe. They went with a "B" lineup this week and won pretty handily, whereas City drew with Stoke.PSG is around -300. They trail Marseilles by 6 points and currently sit fourth in the table, but have registered back-to-back wins against Lille and a tough Toulouse team after drawing their first three Ligue 1 matches, quelling Parisian boo-birds, whose expectations for this team are impossibly high.

Juventus is up to -160 or so, and are at the top with a perfect 9 points so far. AC Milan's already showing the ill effects of having to sell off players to right their ship financially, looking dead in the water after losing at home to Atalanta, which leaves only Inter and Napoli to really give them trouble. I don't see it.

Best news of all, Barcelona has already put 8 points between them and Real Madrid, after RM lost away to Sevilla, who made an early goal stand up for 90. They're all the way up to -333, and you can get a bit of value on them at Sportsbook, who have them at -250. Worse for Madrid, they have a very difficult Champions League draw, which means possibly a couple more games where they won't be able to get away with deploying some reserves. Their schedule gets a bit easier the next couple weeks, but a Clasico looms on October 7 at the Camp Nou.

You could also do worse than Lionel Messi Top Goalscorer -162 right now. He already leads the pack with 6 goals (several are tied at 3), and Ronaldo only has 2. He might win it anyway, but if Ronaldo reiterates his transfer demands in December and gets his wish, this is a done deal barring a massive injury.
I should just stick to futures. :kicksrock:

I'm mostly just in for the thread, but pretty sure the Eagles have mailed it in for this year and they've cost betters tons of money this year so everyone hates them.

i've been an Eagles fan for many, many moons, but in no way would i feel confident with money on the Eagles. i would take the Ty/Koy Detmer led Eagles with Torrance Small and Charles Johnson. hell even Rodney Peete or Bubby Brister's team would have me more confident. this team has the look of a team that has quit. If they start out bad, expect it to not turn around. they will be real easy to beat mentally. of course i will keep my eye on live betting. i think Foles will keep throwing all game, but it won't matter if he gets 3 seconds to throw. Way too many questions. Can Bryce Brown carry the load, considering he hasn't been a featured back since his H.S. days? do we see Maclin or D-Jax catching the tough passes over the middle when they know these games mean nothing.

and for the Eagles backers, a play i like quite a bit that i put in as a hedge is:

Eagles ov 9 1st half

if they are going to win, they have to come out on fire and should be able to get more than 9 points in the 1st half. if they don't, no way they win

I got in too late on the parlays, some of those games had already started. I need a few nights off anyway.
 you're getting old DD. you could of threw in some Hail Mary for the hell of itETA: Don't worry you saved yourself some money. F'n Georgia State

Just saw this. This was probably a solid play although it will require the Eagles to touch the end zone.
