Ok, I'll be that guy. St. Louis is 6-6 SU when allowing 60. Artis is a difference maker, and the Ducks are tough on defense and beasts on the glass. The Billikens run ends today. Oregon +165
I agree with this guy. Oregon is going to boat race the Billikans.
Is there a t-shirt in this for me? :hifive:
I could probably find a Duck shirt or two for you out here. GO DUCKS!
Yeah, I was just playin. Word on the street is you have approximately six dozen. Regardless, lots of good peeps lost here on this play that have won me money in the past, so it's actually somewhat bittersweet.

interesting article on futures vs ML rollovers. The last 3 years the future bet was the better option for this tourney.

http://www.sportsinsights.com/blog/maximizing-your-march-madness-betting-payouts/

My various future bets from the last few months - some tails and some terrible choices on my part. More then I realized until I just put them all together. :bag:

2 units Louisville 15-1 :hifive: frosty

Mississipi 1000-1

NC State 66-1

Cal 100-1

Creighton 125-1

Ohio St. 18-1

Ok St. 150-1

North Carolina 75-1

Kansas 14-1

Arizona 81-1

Wichita St. 600-1
This is going better then expected, especially in the west. Just threw a tiny bit on Iowa st st 100-1 and LaSalle 300-1 to give me at least an 18-1 to the final 4. Should be able to hedge to a profit from there

2 team

Miami -7.5 and Miami Illinois under 128.5

Illini under 60.5

Florida -7.5

NC Kansas over 142.5

ETA

Duke -5.5

La Salle +4.5

OVER SUNDAY, ANYONE?!?!?!
I'm gunshy on betting anything at this point, but since I went all unders on Thursday and Friday, I might as well keep it going and go all Overs on Saturday and Sunday.INEDIT: wait. Is it just me or do these totals all seem to be pretty high? Most are in the 140s.

screw it. I have to bet on these games.

Iowa St +7.5

Over 143.5

I think stuckey is on Iowa St so I'll tail. Hopefully they don't get shut down by OSU's defense and kill both bets.

They do, but I'm convinced they're just F'ing with us. Over, over, over, over!!!!

Can't make up my mind on the early games, but I am logging one in the CIT: 3PM Kent State +4.5 @ Loyola, MD, 1u...

ETA Kent State +4.5, 1u and Kent State ML (+175) .5u...

Yeah, I've got a few. :unsure:And I hear you, it sucks when iBuddies lose money, but I've been a part of the wagering threads here since 2002. The good peeps will make it back and you can't take it personally when a guy celebrates his team's win. We're all big boys in here. Well, except Marshal Plan. ;)JUST KIDDING MP! (does he still post?) What happened to Gambino? Is Gambler still alive? Red Raiders? The days of yore...

I played blackjack with Red in AC last weekend. He says he still has some $$$ in the Sportsbook account but hasn't done anything in well over a year. Too bad too because he's got a great eye and approach.

What are your thoughts about the Florida schools tonight?
love fgc over sd. i think they win outright. miami is tougher. may parlay with something else...maybe iu?what else are u on today?
I'm on the Eagles every which way. Have them S/U, with points, teased and parlayed with other favs ML (IU/UF/UM). Love the way the Eagles play.Of course I did this yesterday with St Louis and look where THAT got me.

My buddy and I went to the Ferrell Center to see Hot Sauce play streetball in 2005. It was pretty cool. The Jet was coaching one of the teams, and at halftime I was picked out of the crowd for two shots from half court.

I was wearing a dress shirt w a sleeveless under armour shirt beneath it and asked the MC if I could take my dress shirt off before shooting. And I didn’t see it coming, but the crowd went crazy. And behind me in the stands I heard a woman yell, “Take it all off!”

It ended up being a letdown when the first shot bricked off the rim and the second shot slammed off the backboard, but Kenny still signed a basketball for me anyway.

I'm almost in on Kansas, still hoping for a last minute line move down to -6. Anybody getting -6 already? I only see 6.5's...

I think Kansas wins by double-digits, but this spread has to be affected by the name game - it's Kansas-Carolina, after all...but there are significant differences between these two. Depth and experience being major ones.

...everybody thinking about betting this one, please remember what we all went through getting Carolina to cover on Friday. The Carolina youngsters really struggled to make good decisions in the clutch. I think Kansas should feed of that.

Just put 1u on Ole' Miss -4. Should be an interesting crowd - 13v12 is always cool, but you have LaSalle coming out of the 1st 4, so they're the ultimate underdog, and Marshall Henderson makes Ole' Miss a love/hate thing, but I'd think they're favored by the geography (Kansas City, Mo)...this will be LaSalle's 3rd game in 5 days, although they handled both Boise St. and Kansas St. pretty well. I think it comes down to 2 things: LaSalle has this unconventional 4G's and a C lineup vs Ole' Miss Senior bigs Buckner and Holloway, who aren't just size, but are athletic, too. Ole Miss should have a decided advantage inside and on the boards. I think Henderson still feeds off the spotlight, and maybe is a little less frenetic today with a win under their belt already. I think the deciding factor will be Jarvis Summers, Ole' Miss under-rated PG. If he can make Ramon Galloway work on offense, Galloway won't have the legs to defend Henderson on the other end of the floor.

Temple coach Fran Dunphy used the word “concerned” liberally in Saturday’s news conference discussing Indiana and a glance at the profiles of both teams justifies that sentiment. The Owls haven’t been a good defensive team this season and some of their deficiencies play directly into Indiana’s strengths.

Temple ranks 246th nationally in 3-point field goal percentage defense and the Hoosiers enter Sunday as the second-best 3-point shooting team in the country at 41.1 percent. Defensive rebounding isn’t a strength for the Owls either and IU’s ability to generate second-chance points by crashing the glass when it does miss has been pivotal all season. Temple has also struggled at times with fouls and keeping opponents off the foul line, which is a third area where the Hoosiers appear to have a distinct advantage.

Pace figures to be important for Temple, and while Wyatt mentioned the Owls can be successful when trying to run, he acknowledged it might not be the best strategy against IU. “They like to go up and down, but we can go up and down, too,” he said. “We want to make sure we control the pace.” Both teams are averaging a similar number of possessions per game (67 for Temple, 68 for Indiana), but look for Temple to attempt to grind out possessions in the halfcourt rather than taking quick shots that could open the floodgates for the Hoosiers in transition.

Indiana currently sits as a 12-point favorite and Pomeroy is even more bullish on the Hoosiers, predicting a margin of 15 points and an 88 percent chance of a victory. Temple is undersized on the frontline and doesn’t really have a physical presence who can body up to Zeller and push him off the block, nor do they have the compliment of defensive players capable of slowing down the nation’s best offense. Every team that has knocked off IU to this point ranks in the top 46 nationally in defensive efficiency and Temple comes in at No. 117.
ETA: the bolded is the reason for the drop in the total.

Temple/Indiana 2H U76 .5u, to get back the .5u I have on O 147 for Game, currently sitting at 55 points at half time. Temple leads, and game is close enough for Temple to continue playing their game, and even if Indy takes the lead and runs away with it, I don't think Temple has the horses to keep up with the Hoosiers to get to 80 points.

Just put another 1u on Kansas, now at 3u. They have to be watching what's going on here with Indiana and be on high alert. They will aggressively play the inexperienced Tarheels, and try to deliver a knockout punch early to prevent them from dangerously hanging around.

So I have Temple + 8.5 2H, the just need to lose by less than 6. Down 1 with 15 seconds left...what could go wrong?

:lmao:

I'm going back to the NBA.

Underdogs are 2-0 in the tourney. I should probably stick with UNC here but already bet Kansas -6.5 for some reason.

Also on:

Fla Gulf Coast +7.5

Lasalle +4.5

Lasalle +165

and a lot of dogs in hockey too:

Panthers +160

Capitals +135

Flyers +170

Lightning +125

Blues -135

not sure what to expect here, but I'm bored.

Will the Tampa Bay's coach being fired have an impact on the players?

Serious question: Are you LaSalle backers betting that way because you dislike Marshall Henderson? From a handicapping perspective, I can't find any reason to back that side. I'm sure I'm missing something, though. We'll see...

Not speaking for anyone, but I think some may have visions of VCU circa '11 dancing in their heads. They have been on fire, but, personally, I don't see it. Matter of fact I just added to my Ole Miss bet.

Philadelphia >>>>>> Country boys :grad: :boxing:ETA: this is all joking on my end, i don't know much about either. i do know the clip of the unc kid in the crowd crying from today is wonderful. if the kid didn't have a ton of money on the game, there is zero excuse for that

There's a Philadelphia, Mississippi.

I like Explorers 1H ML and ATS. Usually when someone gets this much national attention it is time to fade them (unless their name is Manziel).
