FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (6 Viewers)

I ####### hate Vancouver, I don't think I've ever won a parlay with them in it. Usually they are the last leg and deliver an excruciating SO loss to blow up a 4-teamer. At least tonight they end any hope in 7 minutes.

interesting article on futures vs ML rollovers. The last 3 years the future bet was the better option for this tourney.http://www.sportsinsights.com/blog/maximizing-your-march-madness-betting-payouts/My various future bets from the last few months - some tails and some terrible choices on my part. More then I realized until I just put them all together. :bag:2 units Louisville 15-1 :hifive: frostyMississipi 1000-1 :lol:NC State 66-1Cal 100-1Creighton 125-1Ohio St. 18-1Ok St. 150-1North Carolina 75-1Kansas 14-1Arizona 81-1Wichita St. 600-1
Did not expect this with Wichita. Kinda wish I had more then $5 on them now.

Nucks gave up 3 goals on 3 shots. Chasing with Sharks, Over 5 parlay
I did this and also played Sharks -1.5What could go wrong?
Why not, Sharks PL +175Screw the parlay, I'd just lose it for you guys.
As long as you realize I know less about hockey than Manute Bol, lets DO THIS!!!!!!
Pucklines are all dumb bets IMO, doesn't matter to be honest. You have a better chance of having sex in a hot air balloon with Kate Upton than you do trying to consistently win PLs.

Tomorrow night's Elite 8 contest is going to be epic. I have Duke +3½ to win a 6U parlay and am thinking of adding some of the +4 that RB is offering, just out of spite for not giving me the ½ point earlier. I think Duke is much deeper than they are getting credit for. And I don't think they have played their best game yet. I think they advance to the Final Four tomorrow.

Why are the Sharks/Yotes not on Center Ice? Says it's blacked out in my local area and I like no where near Phoenix or San Jose...that I know of.

ETA: It's on CSN for some odd reason, carry on.

Michigan +3 1.67u

Michigan ML +135

I really want to bet Louisville but that seems like a terrible match-up for them. Maybe I'll play the total so I can lose yet another one of those this tourney.

Curious why you think this? Duke only has one inside player and Dieng should be able to handle him. Other than that Duke's all perimeter and that plays right into Louisville's defensive strength. I know Duke beat Louisville earlier this year by 5, but Dieng was out for that one.

Seems like Duke can handle the pressure and also can hit the 3's needed to end/start runs. WTF do I know though? I pretty much only watch one game a week and every game of the tournament.

I'm not sure that plays into Louisville's strength on defense. Their defense is turnovers and Dieng. Duke doesn't get to the rim much so Dieng won't affect too much apart from Plumlee and Duke doesn't turn the ball over which is huge. Duke is going to have to hit shots and hope Cook gets out of his funk but I'd say its not a particularly good match up for anyone.

You're rate I overstated that. I shouldn't say it plays into Louisville's strength, I'm just surprised at him calling this a terrible match-up for Louisville and I'm wondering what I'm missing.

i will - just not sure what/how yet. depends on what happens tomorrow I guess. Louisville/shockers would be awesome. Think Ill have to hedge with Duke for a couple units tomorrow.

I'd be a lot better at sports gambling if I didn't bet those last two hockey plays tonight. Luckily this is just a hobby, I'd be much better if I played tighter.

Wings tomorrow, might play Stars also.

yeah, i have been betting like a dummy the last few days and my balance shows. Still holding out hope the Sharks can get a quick one and an empty netter for a 4-2 win.

Haven't posted a lot the last couple of weeks since my reverse line move system hasn't been worth a #### in the tournament and it was only mediocre in the conference tournaments. Been mostly tailing random guys and playing my gut with up and down results although I did have a stupid big bet on Michigan in the Kansas game which makes up for some of my recent horrible results. Just wanted to post that I was looking through the MLB futures and I played

Mariners +1500 to win the AL West.

Longshot but I really think Texas comes back to earth, I can see issues in Anaheim and I think SEA will surprise a lot of people. I also looked at KC to win the AL Central, but +600 didn't seem like high enough odds for me. Team win totals I like :

Braves over 87 1/2

Orioles over 78 1/2

Cubs over 73 1/2

Royals over 78 1/2

Dodgers under 90 1/2

Yankees under 84 1/2

Mariners over 77 1/2

Two baseball futures locked in:Orioles UNDER 78.5 wins -115 for 2.5uTwins OVER 67.5 wins -115 for 1.5uADD: Phillies OVER 84 -130 to win 1uADD: Rays OVER 85.5 -130 to win 1u
Thanks to Gussy for reminding me to bump my Phillies add and to bet on the Rays. Hoped the vig would fade on the Rays but I see Sportsbook has them 87.5 (-115) so I'm fine paying extra for those two wins. I like M's over a little more today than 3 weeks ago but that team still has a lot of holes. Looked at Honkey Sox UNDER also but the AL Central has two teams in Cleveland and the Royals which are pretty hard to figure out right now. I'll just stay away.

Well, let's see. I have been screwed by the Panthers, Colorado and the Wild tonight in OT. Can we make 4 for 5?????

ahh, I have Orioloes over and some Orioles wins againt other teams as well. Why the hate for the Orioles. I think they can be even better then last year. I know they won a lot of close one's, and people think they got lucky with where they were, but they seem a solid team while the Red Sox and Yanks both got worse

One word: pitchingThey'll need a lot of hitting like Markakis having an All-Star season, Wieters to have a career year and Brian Roberts to play 110 games to be anywhere near where they were in 2012. They got extremely fortunate last year with their starters and will need two of Tillman, Arieta, Matusz and Britton to be heavy contributors. Their bullpen will regress, and IMO the AL East is actually stronger this year than last. The Red Sox won 69 games last year, they'll be .500ish this year. The Yankees might regress but the Blue Jays will fill their spot and the Rays are going to win 86 games because they are the Rays. the margin for error is slight and I just don't see how Hammels, Miguel Gonzalez and Chen are going to carry them again. I think they lose 88-91 games.

hmm, i might buy out a bit of what i have there then. i loaded up on baseball futures because i have hoped to take a few month break soon, and that will hopefully make it easier

Let's get MLB startedThis is just my own half baked analysis based on well...nothing but some basic research.Stros/Rangers UNDER 8.5It takes hitters a bit to build up a rhythm (moreso than pitchers) and if you look at the scores from opening day last year you had:4-13-21-07-4 (16 inning game)1-02-14-05-3(in 2011, 4 out of the 6 games stayed under 9 runs)
looks convincing bud, in

Wings in NHL Under in bases - Thanks Reginald Both Dogs in NCAAB - apparently a bunch of L'ville players are sick - SIlva with Strep, players getting IV's etc - at least according to the twitter added Seattle Over 77.5 -120 - total wins for the season. ;I feel asleep last night thinking about how Seattle could surprise in the West and then see Gussy thinks the same.... GLTA AB

I read a Twitter rumor on April Fools' Day last year and cost myself a bundle. Be careful what you read on there.

Stupid bucky. Futures bet needing number 2 seeds to win 9 games, stuck on 8 with Duke today. OSU could have got me at least a push. Futures bet bucky to win regional @2.5/1. Bucky to win championship @15/1. Big ten school to win championship @ 3/1 now left with Michigan. Probably a few others too. I hate bucky.
