How'd the rest of you make out today?
Got lucky. Put a few bets in twice (amazing how many times i have done this since hanging around these FFA wagering threads). all 3 of them hit, Phi-Atl ov, Pitt, and Cincy. got lucky with Cincy. I think it was from tailing a bit from Stuckey, and also tailing that Gamehunter guy.
And i absolutely love how DirecTV gives access to every baseball game for the first few weeks of the season. Encrouages me gambling, but fun to turn some of these on with money on them. Hopefuly can keep up with some good luck and build a nice + money bank and then walk away for a bit
Off topic: Get mlb.tv modogg, it's sick. $130 for the season, streams on PS3/Xbox360/Apple TV/Roku in 720p HD. I love it, will get it every year for the price to value. Are you in the Philly area? If so, are you getting Phils games with Extra Innings on DTV? I can't get FioS in my building, Comcast is the only game in town besides DTV. I always thought they'd be blacked out on DTV even with the EI package since DTV doesn't carry Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia (whole other topic). I'd at least consider DTV if you can get the Phils games on EI in the region, even though they don't carry CSN. As an aside, I did call Comcast to see what
just internet would cost if I dropped TV: $75.00 a month, while it's $30.00 with TV. Effing thieves they are.
Thanks for any info GB.
Yeah. My buddy got the MLB ticket with DirecTV a year or 2 ago, and the mother f'ers charged him and almost all of the Phillies games were blacked out because of Comcast. I do think they reached some agreement though recently abot some of this, mostly because Comcast has grown with buying up pieces of NBC and running that NBC sports channel. I didn't catch too any of teh Phils yet because i was switching back and forth from Cincy and Pitt games. And yeah i hear ya about Comcast being thieves, pretty much everyone i know who has had them as a carrier has had at least one bad experience. I think i will go with the "illegal" streams if i want to watch the Phils at my house as the season goes on
I would be tempted to get the ticket, but I like not betting throughout the MLB year and i know i would if i had that. I'll be happy to stop in for a week or 2, and then walk away for a few weeks too. It is tough going year round gambling, and i know from experience that my percentage of dumb bets goes up when i bet everyday for 8+ months.
