FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (3 Viewers)

Made the bet 3 months ago... right back where we started.

Updated series odds:

Heat -114

Spurs +102

Crazy.
I would have figured the spurs would get a little more respect then this. I figured the odds would be flipped.
I did too but looking at the money line for game 6 which is now -330 makes them better than 75% to win. I expect game 7's (if there is one) money line to be around -300 so that would make them slightly better than 50/50 to win the series.

Nah, if there are two more games, you figure Miami will be about 5-point favorites in both of them. That = a better than 50% chance of them winning the series.

A bad tee ball on 9 today cost me even par on the front.

Having said that, I like Mexico today v Italy

Also like Spain doubly more...maybe triply
Nice going Your in Cincy right? Where did you play? I end up playing Legendary Run a couple of times a summer with a buddy that lives down there. Love that track.
I was supposed to play legendary run actually

But I bailed last minute and went to Hamilton elks country club. Short, but the course is firm and fast. Wanted to play a us open course on the final day of the tourney

Did Danny Green have a finals MVP line or was he "field"?
I don't remember seeing a line for him

Interesting note from his wiki page

After Green's freshman season at UNC in 2006 his father, Danny Green Sr., was arrested on drug trafficking charges along with 13 other people.[20] Police confiscated 462 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated street value of $40 million, as well as $5 million in cash, marijuana and assorted firearms. Green Sr., a gym teacher, said he had no connection to the drug trafficking ring. He pled not guilty and bail was set at $7.5 million cash. After Green Sr. was in jail for 18 months, officials offered him a lesser charge of conspiracy that would include time served and get him out of jail within six months. He was paroled on January 28, 2008 after serving 22 months in prison

Did Danny Green have a finals MVP line or was he "field"?
Sportsbooks cheer for Danny Green

by Mark Presley

June 17, 2013

Spurs fans are cheering on Danny Green, but the biggest cheers for the sudden superstar are coming from sportsbooks, who stand to make a lot of money from his 3-point-shooting exploits.

That's because Green wasn't even listed in the pre-series MVP Finals MVP props. In order to bet on Green, you had to bet 'anyone else' at 35/1, because he didn't merit any serious consideration.

After bombing away for 27 and 24 points in the past two games, he is getting serious consideration now.

"We did not offer him and we hardly took any money on the 'field' option," said Kevin Bradley, sportsbook manager at Bovada. "Our main exposure is on Tony Parker at 7/2, so if Green wants to keep scoring and win the MVP, we don't mind at all."

The UNC grad has been cut twice since entering the NBA but just set an NBA Finals record with his 25th trey, breaking a 2008 record set by Ray Allen. Allen had to watch his record fall from the Miami bench.

He has chipped in with some stellar defense, including a smother block on LeBron James.

James was the series MVP favorite, but has been inconsistent as the Spurs now lead the series 3-2. Games 6 and 7 if necessary will be in Miami.

They can't all be overtime classics.

taking Bruins -1/2 +137 first 60 minutes tonight
$1.50 is expensive, but under 5 is interesting.
I did that last time but just to kill the juice I played it at under 4.5 at 5dimes for +120. under 4.5 is +115 over there for game 3. still good value to me but if the game ends at 5, you'll be pissed haha
It's going to take 6 goals for something bad to happen. Despite what happened in game 1, 6 goals is alot for these two teams.

Talk about one hell of a weekend....

Kendrell Bell and Casey Hampton both started as rookies on Pittsburgh's 2001 defense. Jarvis Jones is trying to end the 11-year drought by beating out Jason Worilds for James Harrison's old right outside linebacker role. "He's showing us things," LBs coach Keith Butler said of Jones. "And if he keeps showing those things he's going to be a big part of (the defense), hopefully."

Rooting against Bubba Watson, Lee Westwood and Ernie Els...have some futures on them not winning majors this year

Bubba Watson leading at -1 :bag:
I'm imagining those were all pretty juicy, considering tiger is/was -200 to win zero majors.
Els was -1600

bubba was -1200

westwood -450

I nearly #### myself yesterday when els finished at +5 and watched everyone else crash and burn and he moved all the way up to 5th.

Crashing and burning is the best part of major watching. And its not close

Nigeria playing Tahiti

Tahiti lost to Uruguay's U20 team 7-0

Tahiti has one professional on the team and he plays in a greek league

Nigeria is probably going to need goal differential to beat out Uruguay for the second spot in the group.

I like Nigeria -3 and the Over 3.5

I love at how they derive a "street value". $40 million would be $200 a gram. Yeah, right.

I have no clue what the spreads will be when they play Uruguay and Spain, but Tahiti is beyond terrible.

I dont think Spain will beat them that badly....they will just pass around for 40 minutes. But Uruguay is going to bludgeon them. Especially if Nigeria and Uruguay draw Thursday.

I am at the library at the new school. Did you know that Kellogg's buyers purchase ingredients from eight different countries on three different continents to manufacture their popular NutriGrain bars?

KC -130

p.s. I have a chick in the works that if everything goes as planned, is going to blow the combined previous three out of the water. It is still early, but I Googled her screen name and found her YouTube account from five years ago. In a compilation video of herself she shows fully nude breast in the bathtub and numerous shots puffing huge clouds of weed.

The South Siders own the worst road record in the american league, just stated on the pregame show. Also have 7 more games on this road trip. I think we win tonight and even played RL. Then prolly back to fading them.

nice hit by both of us Ref. the way these games are going, it would take a really tempting line for me to have the testicular fortitude to take an over.

Braves play into the middle of the night and now have to turn around and play day night double header against Harvey and Wheeler. I can't see that working out. Mets also got a CG from Gee last night so the bullpen should be ready if needed.

I'm going Mets in both games and under in both games... would also consider just going Braves TT under.

I'm thinking of hedging a bit tonight with the Spurs +250. Anyone else?

I think I'm gonna let my Bruins +1300 ride but Blackhawks at +210 for series is tempting now. If Hossa doesn't come back they are done though...

standing pat I think.

Still locked in at Heat -110. Ridiculous we can't get a better price to add more. IMO

Thing is I'd bet my car we see a game 7, because more often then not when you follow the $$ in the NBA you end up right. And if we see a game 7 I'd bet my house the Heat win.

The more I think about it this all makes sense.

If the conspiracy is alive and well, I wouldn't be surprised Miami gets a ton of calls tonight to force game 7. The ratings for game 7 would be insane. But why do you think Stern is set on giving the Heat the championship? More people hate the Heat than like them.

Agree with everything you said, which is why I'd like to see Heat at better than -105 right now.

Ridiculous
