FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (11 Viewers)

Adjusted RL's in baseball?? Been dabbling in these a little bit and playing dogs -1.5 at +180 and up to +220. Playing 2 or 3 a day and needing just 1 winner for basically break even status. Playing it small and of course, you are only as good as your picks, but i see potential in this. Thoughts?
Trying the afternoon games. Twinkies -1.5 +190. Phillies -1.5 +240. Pale Hose -1.5 +220.
Betting $100 per game and taking every single one today you would be up exactly $200 with a $100 bet on the Rangers +265 whenever it kicks off. So either up $100 or up $465

After this enormous sample size, what could go wrong?

They reomved the tarp about ten minutes ago and are looking at a 10pm start time despite continuing rain.
With the interleague games they have to get the games in because the teams won't meet again in 2013. They could play tomorrow, but then you are messing with the players off day and the union doesn't like that.

i'm in agreement with you. went 1 out of 3 today, but the palehose had their chances. Definetley think its a pick your spots sort of thing, but the one run differential games are going to kill 1/3 of your plays (generalization) most days. Now taking the dog on the adjusted line -1.5 at +180 to +220 or whatever, and then playing the RL with the favorite -1.5 at plus money (usually anywhere from even to +180 or whatever). Like i said, downfalls will be on the one run games, which if i'm not mistaken happen at about a 25-30 percent clip.

I have a data sheet with over 20,000 games and results. I had looked at this and other angles involving run lines and there is no edge.

April dogs particularly in the first two weeks is the only segment with value imo

You can get Andy Murray to win Wimbledon -130 at RB right now.
Is that good or bad? Tennis is probably the "sport" i know absolutely least about, but i thought the play was Djokovic? Things i have seen say the guy has a cakewalk to the final, but again i have NO IDEA about tennis for anything. Only thing i like about is the games sometimes are on late at night which is fun to catch if sleeping is especially elusive that particular night

Agree Mo. Some of my favorite bets involved setting the alarm clock to 5AM to get up to watch tennis or soccer overseas when nothing else was going on in the world yet.

Rangers are ready for the day off. And three hours sitting around playing cards didn't help anything.

Tennis Plays for Wimblumdom:

Lukas Lacko +110 over Rajeev Ram

The following parlay pays: 100/94

Nadal -10000

Isner -350

Tsonga -2500

Tipsarevic -240

Murray -10000

And we're off

I have the week off and nothing to do.

Decided to leave Milwaukee early. That city sucks balls.

Might countdown my favorite 20 songs in here.

Its cool during summerfest. Good shows relatively cheap, Leiningugels, and fried whatever you like.
Not sold on the cheese curds though.

Everywhere I found them they had breading on them. I thought they were just straight up cheese curds without crappy carbs on the outside.

I've never seen or had cheese curds that were breaded. Usually just sold in a bag.

Lots of good bars in Milwaukee.

Was an okay story to tell since I'm bored.

I showed up and took a cab straight from the airport to the stadium about 3 hours early...thinking I could find a restaraunt to eat in first. All they had was Friday's at the Park and you needed a ticket to get in. I didn't have a ticket yet, I was planning on scalping.

Took Rude's advice and wandered around the tailgate party asking for food and beer and reminding them it was my birthday. Ended up hanging out with a guy who owns a bowling alley a few towns over, his wife, 2 of the guys who worked for them and their girlfriends. Probably drank 12 miller lites, ate 2 brats, potato salad, chips, etc. Spent 3 hours out there, got a sunburn. Almost threw up.

Went to the game and towards the end ended up in the bar at the stadium challenging people to the punching bag machine for money. I think I got like a 961 at some point. Bet a dude 100 dollars I could beat him left handed. Lost miserably.

Stumbled out and found my old tailgater friends. Sat with them for another hour and drank while they begged me to come back to their town and hang out for the night and the owner of the bowling alley thought I was the funniest guy he's ever met and begged me to take his daughter out. He was a little drunk but literally told me he had a cute daughter my age and was perfect for her. Offered me a job as a bartender at the bowling alley if I moved to town and married his daugter :lmao:

I eventually got up to go get a cab to my hotel room because I wanted to go out on the town for the night and he got legitimately pissed that I wouldn't come back and court his daughter and hang out at the bowling alley.

On the way to the cab, some lady offered me some homemade string cheese. I took a bite out of it and she yelled at me because you HAVE TO peel it and eat it, not just take a bite off the top.

Slept in my hotel room for 3 hours. Went downtown to water street and drank until I couldn't see. I have some nigerian cab drivers phone number because he has a "business opportunity" for me and I haven't #### right in 2 days thanks to all that beer.

Well I screwed up not betting the Blackhawks +220 after game 3, could have locked in a 4.5u profit either way.

Blackhawks +110 for 1.5u tonight. If it goes seven I might let the Bruins ride...

There are both kinds of cheese curds, Those with no breading just like the block form but in little chunks from the bag, and those that are breaded and deep fried just like onion rings.

I probably know the bowling alley guy. If it is a smaller city, there is probably not much for options for his daughter.

The whole story is great but this is the best. A cheesehead lady telling you proper ettiquitte on how to eat the string cheese......classic. They proud of their cheese up there.

IIRC he was from an area called West Bend about 90 mins from the city. Tell him I said what's up if you see him.

How much to ship me some real cheese curds?

The people were very friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better day to go to the park. Everyone there is begging you to eat their food and drink their beer. Really nice folks. The city itself had construction on every road I drove on and a few bad areas. Not sure if I'll go back.

Definitely proud of their cheese, and I have to say, the string cheese was really good. Almost buttery tasting.

He probably wanted to hire you because he liked the way you were handling yourself in an out-of-town setting. Foreign experience demonstrates independence, resourcefulness, and entrepreneurship.

Padres +105

PHI/SD u6.5 -115

Sounds good. I like the Pads too. FWIW I did a severely remedial linear forecast trend line in Excel based on each team’s runs in June and I got 2.9669 for Philly and 3.2322 for the Pads tonight. You can bank on this with about a 10% certainty.

He was also willing to drink the local swill, Miller Lite, which shows his support of the local economy.

fried cheese curds are obscenely disgusting and I love cheese. I can't wait to take a dump
Happy Bday buddy. How can any man resist a cheese curd? Impossible i say.

I've cold cocked the last 2 games of Lord Stanleys finals. (Bruins/under game 3, Hawks/over game 4) Past results is no guarantee of future winnings. And as always, look to adjust after that first period and getting a feel for the game. That being said, Hawks 3 Bruins1.
Holy crap, this is creepy. Nice call bud, let's hear what you got for the next one
Got lucky with the empty netter but the Hawks had so many opportunities before that. I'm feeling an overtime game perhaps in game 6. 1-1 maybe 2-2. Pretty sure i'm going Boston, but haven't felt it yet.
Mixed feelings here. I want to win my futures plays on the Hawks winning it all as soon as possible. Would be less stressful to win it tonight than wednesday. I think its clouding my judgement as i don't feel as confident about my picks tonight as i did the last 3 games. Anyway, Yes overtime +240. Bruins 3-2.

I wish I picked up some more Bruins Series at +280, that's a really good price and a much better price than -130 for tonight.

Bet -130 tonight. B's lose you're out $130. B's win you are up $100.

Bet +280 Series. B's lose you're out $100. B's win your holding game 7 100/280.

Whats the worst price you are going to find on Chi to win game 7 -180?

+240 is still a good price depending on what you think the game 7 price is, and assuming you like the B's ti win game 6.
