FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (12 Viewers)

I have a hypothesis that on the Sunday before the ASB the players will be content so say "enough already" and effectively begin their vacations early. So I'm going to start sampling the result of the grand salami O/U on the Sunday before the ASB. Once I get an appropriate sample size of n=30 I will return and post my results.

USA HT / USA FT -360

Belize (Gold-Cup)/Costa Rica (Gold-Cup) 1st Half Under 1½ +115

Unfortunately, on that second bet I just came to the realization that I was thinking of how close Martinique has played everyone, not Belize. :bag:
Whodathunk the Belize bet would have been the better one. Oof... I'll stick to tailing your bets rather than venturing out on my own.

study high, take the test high, get high scores!
This was my modus operandi when i was taking classes.

Took a loss earlier this week wagering 320 to win 100 on the Tigers over the White sox series bet. Thought it was a pretty safe play.......WRONG!!! Not gonna mush your play with an inning to play, but MUCHO F'N GRACIAS CHAIN MAN. I've been stewing the last day or two from this and was waiting for that one good play(besides the degen golf matchups i play each day). 2 teamer for 100 to win 370 and solo plays for a unit each on the Rangers/Marriners. Well done. Sort of sweet winning the money back betting against the team that lost me the money in the first place.

Pat yourself on the back man. That was all you.

If you like the over, Cory Blaser is behind the plate in LA tomorrow. He is 14-7 O/U with 10.24 average runs scored.

Porter in MIA 13-7 (9.95)

Gonzalez in PIT 13-6 (9.37)
If you like the under in Arizona you got Kulpa who is 7-10 O/U with 6.76 average runs scored; and last season was 9-22 (8.15).

Laz "Mr. Inconsistency" Diaz is calling balls & strikes in SD tomorrow. He will frustrate the hell out of pitchers, especially young guys like Shelby Miller the other night (who I had a -240 ML with against the Astros). Veteran Barry Zito did pitch 7 shutout innings at home versus Colorado with Diaz behind the plate back on 4/10 though.

Isn't it possible that the pitchers "give up" too and start throwing meat balls to the batters?

Doctor D dead yo?
I think i remember him talking about taking a break. Baseball betting wasn't being to kind to him(nor most of us). He'll be back shortly as the College football season is less than 7 weeks away. Picked up Phill Steeles college annual, what a beast of info that mag is. Worth the ten bucks. One of his surprise teams this year is the Longhorns, and i thought i read he thinks they might run the table. Might be worth a few bucks on their team victories total.

Odds on Braves to win the NL Pennant still around 4/1?

How about odds on the division? How bad are they?

Just saw this tweet.

ATL does not play outside the Eastern and Central time zones in the 2nd half; only 19 games left vs. teams over .500.

HR derby

Davis +350

Alvarez + 500

Cuddyer + 1500

I like the braves to take the division, but not pennant. If you want long shot to take NL pennant , I like the Dodgers.

Giovanni too, and if Manuel can win the starting job i love his chances. i forget the numbers, but they love picking QBs for ROY

early reports I saw had Kolb starting first week. I would assume Kolb gets it for the first few weeks, which means Manual would have to be pretty impressive in his shortened time. But still not bad odds there.\

1989 Barry Sanders Detroit Lions Running back 1990 Emmitt Smith Dallas Cowboys Running back 1991 Leonard Russell New England Patriots Running back 1992 Carl Pickens Cincinnati Bengals Wide receiver 1993 Jerome Bettis Los Angeles Rams Running back 1994 Marshall Faulk Indianapolis Colts Running back 1995 Curtis Martin New England Patriots Running back 1996 Eddie George Houston Oilers Running back 1997 Warrick Dunn Tampa Bay Buccaneers Running back 1998 Randy Moss Minnesota Vikings Wide receiver 1999 Edgerrin James Indianapolis Colts Running back 2000 Mike Anderson Denver Broncos Running back 2001 Anthony Thomas Chicago Bears Running back 2002 Clinton Portis Denver Broncos Running back 2003 Anquan Boldin Arizona Cardinals Wide receiver 2004 Ben Roethlisberger Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback 2005 Cadillac Williams Tampa Bay Buccaneers Running back 2006 Vince Young Tennessee Titans Quarterback 2007 Adrian Peterson Minnesota Vikings Running back 2008 Matt Ryan Atlanta Falcons Quarterback 2009 Percy Harvin Minnesota Vikings Wide receiver 2010 Sam Bradford St. Louis Rams Quarterback 2011 Cam Newton Carolina Panthers Quarterback 2012 Robert Griffin III[5]Washington Redskins Quarterback RB's dominated from 89-02 then QB'a lately

However I think this is the least hyped up QB class in a long time

Very few WR's

I think my Red Sox calls will burn a bit unless something changes for them, but is there any hope for the Nationals? What's their deal, why are they stinking it up so far this year?
Why be miserable with 67 games left? For two weeks, the Nats have been as close to full health as any club is in July and, at times, their hitters have shown the first signs all year of rousing themselves. The Braves have been so dreary for three months that any good team should think it has a chance to catch them, especially since their whole outfield is now hurt.

But the Nats are different. Nothing “normal” has applied to them this season. They are a sports psychiatrist’s dream. Unless you know what’s going on in their zany brains, how can you guess what they’ll do next? Do they even have a clue themselves?

Bad baseball has its own deranged fascination. The Nats, even in their win on Sunday, often seem caught in its grip. If you love scary movies, watch the Nationals; they constantly seem to be one panic attack or brain freeze from their next disaster. If such a constant state of stress is not for you, then welcome the all-star hiatus as a respite from watching the public torments of an earnest, overconfident, prematurely entitled and disoriented team.

The Nats have reached the all-star break with the blessing of near-perfect physical health. Yet they’re a mental mess. Most likely, Haren, Jordan and injured Ross Detwiler, in some combination, can provide an adequate back of the rotation. And Johnson’s latest lineup has an energetic, imaginative feel to it, especially the Harper-Rendon start.

But none of that will matter if the Nats can’t get their nerves, their disposition, their true confidence, rather then feigned bravado, under control for the second half. Starting Friday, the tough Dodgers and Pirates come to town. The staggering Nats have four days to find their bearings. link
