FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (5 Viewers)

If you are looking at the Rangers, they are losing a big bat from the lineup. Nelson Cruz is expected today to accept Major League Baseball's 50-game suspension rather than appeal the penalty.

Eleven other guys are supposedly on the hook, too. Hammer is coming down today. Hope it's none of the Braves.

Seattle is back home from a road trip but they had a day off on the 29th. Toronto is playing their 8th consecutive road game and haven't had an off day since the break. Seattle hits righties better than they hit lefties, they rank 9th OPS v RHP and 13th in runs scored. They got 7ER off 6H (3HR) versus Dickey in Toronto back in May. Iwakuma and the Mariners beat Toronto that day 8-1.

SEA -130

Andujar +120

Two players who are not in a great form. Andujar is the more accomplished player. This is WEINTRAUB's second hard court tourney, compared to Andujar's first, but the Israeli is the lesser player generally.

Cards -141

Hanley banged up. Puig banged up. Greinke can be rattled on the road. vs. Cards bats are hot. Waino sub 2 era at home.

E GULBIS -215 2U

The Latvian is 3-1 vs. Lopez. More importantly he beat Lopez this year at Indian Wells. Also, a hard court. YTD Gulbis is 11-3 on hard court compared with Lopez who is 5-5 on hard. Even thought Lopez is the more accomplished player Gulbis is far better on hard courts.

B Paire +180

Paire is every bit as good as Kohlschreiber. Paire beat him in straight sets at Indian Wells earlier this year on the same type of court. Prior to that win both the other matches between these two had gone the distance. I see value in +180 on the 27th ranked Frenchman.

Dammmmmmmmit I've been lounging at the beach poolside and missed those 2 hot winners you posted. In on paire. I may need to get you on retainer if you stay this hot.

Zakopalova -115 for 1u. Safarova is doing extremely bad on hard court this season, having lost 7 of the 9 matches. Zakopalova won their most recent match on hard court in Moscow in 2012. There most recent match, on grass, was also tight.

Jose Quintana has given up three runs or less in nine of his last ten starts. Oh and eff A-Roid.

Yanks TT u3.5 -105

Yanks/Sox u7.5 EV

missed all the other one's, but did get a chance to sneak this one in

MLADENOVIC over Sloane Stephens. SS was a horrible form at Citi Open. She was ousted in the first round. This one is a coin flip between two 20 year old. Ill take Mladdy at +210.

Malisse over Levine. Levine isnt good and his single records for 2013, 5/14, bears that out. Malisse is more accomplished and is coming off an ok showing at Citi Open. 1u play.

I hope I wasn't the only one that benefited from the greatness that is ZulaTennisPlays. Schwing!
can't even find any of them, are they all done for the day I assume?
Sorry for those last two nugs. They were low juice and + play chase Mladdy respectively. Hope you skipped them.

Swir, Mostly during the day. I got hot and lucky. if you include both of yesterday's plays 7-3. Ill post more tomorrow. Hopefully we can keep winning.

Washington is 28th in runs scored v LHP - barely beating out the Marlins and White Sox. And they are two spots behind Philly who ranks 26th in runs scored v LHP and plated one run versus ATL last night. Washington is last in the league in OPS v LHP.

Atl 105 for a grip.
Nice call Chainsaw. Tailed for 2 grips.

Yep, missed them both. In my eyes you never posted them. We're still in elite status!

Now, the White Sox and their big red machine offense tonight is another story.

Agreed! I tailed for a penile grip, which is a smallish unit.

I blame one of my fathers.

Like within 10 minutes before the match. I watch for biggish swings in the line just before the match. Early in the tourney is a great opp to hammer big under dogs. For example, Nishikori, who is at a disadvantage to begin with on hard courts, almost lost to a crappy canadian challenger. Ill hammer his next opponent who happens to have an above average serve.

Got home in time to see last 5 innings in Seattle. Was at school and would liked to have seen the games to get a feel for tomorrow. Especially Tigers/Indians.

One of the things the prof wrote on the board tonight was "taking action" as one of the final steps of controlling. I was like yeah, I've taken action. It dries your mouth out.

Let's get this started right:

Vesnina -125 over Cornet for 1u. Cornet is 8/7 on hard court this season. Also, I think she has to be tired after giving it a go in D.C. She beat Wickmayer, Watson and Cirstea in the Citi Open. Those are three draining matches (despite winning them in straight sets). Vesnina is in great form and 13/5 on hard court this season. She comes in relatively fresh after winning the last tournament she played in this past June.

Kuznetsova -275 over L Davis for 1u. Davis is 1 and 6 in her last 7 matches. Kuznetsova should be a -400 in this one so I see some nice value at sub 300. She is a head and shoulders better player. Former world number 2 with a record of 26/12 this season. If she hadn't lost to Razzano at the Citi Open I think she'd be -400/-500 against a marginal talent like Davis.

These were at 11:10AM. WTA. I think ATP starts at 1 ETA today. This is in Montreal, Hard Court.

Not a great start to the day but still so much tennis left.

For Toronto tonight, Josh Johnson has given up 14HR in 74IP. That's an average of 1.7 HR per 9 innings.

Angels are trying to snap a six-game losing streak, despite averaging 1HR per game in each of those six.
From my unofficial analysis, he has been killing the "sharps" lately.
After seeing him versus the Angels I thought Hernandez would have been at least -250 against him tonight. Plus Seattle is in the fade spot of second game back from a road trip and the stands were rife with Blue Jay fans last night.

StL is 20th in OPS v LHP (.691) and 17th in runs scored. Houston has an OPS v LHP higher than them (.692).

StL is 11-16 v LHP on the season and 5-7 at home.

Let's try to right the ship in WTA, Rybarikova -160 :moneybag:

eta: turned the tide after a rough start!

Fognini +120 over M Baghdatis. This is similar to the Paire play yesterday insofar as Fogini is the better player, by far, and in better form, by far. The issue and reason Fognini is an underdog is the hard court. Baghdatis favors hard court while Fognini dominates on clay. Last meeting went to Baghdatis on hard in straight sets. I think today will be different as Fognini will adapt like the greats generally do. I'm on it for 2u. :moneybag:

J Isner -200. 1u He is just in too good of form on this court. Pospisil plays him hard but the Americans serve will be too much. I don't see him going deep in this tourney but I would be amazed to see him lose.

No worries, i'm here now GB, starting with Isner and Melzer. Go time!

Chatwood got run over by Atlanta on Wednesday. It was the third time this season he allowed more than 2 runs:

:diamond: On 4/24 he allowed 5 runs to Atlanta and followed it up by shutting out @Dodgers for 6 innings.

:diamond: On 7/3 he allowed 6 runs to the Dodgers and followed it up by allowing 2 runs in 6.2 innings @San Diego.

Today he follows up the Atlanta game @Mets where he has logged 10 innings the last two years and has not allowed a run. The Mets are without David Wright and are 3-7 their last 10 games. They scored 24 runs with a .225 BA and .310 SLG during those games. They are also 26th in the league in OPS v RHP (.679).

Colorado ranks 8th in runs scored v RHP and 6th in OPS (.762). Also, the starter Mejia for the Mets admitted after his game against Miami on Wednesday that the bone spur in his elbow, which is slated to be surgically removed after the season, was bothering him.

Umpire info hasn't been released yet. Temperature in NY is forecast at 74 degrees and sunny with 0% chance of rain. Probably lock in the Rockies ML later when the umps come out.

I backed Bettis in his first start. First time starters have done well this season and he was +205. Getting stomped by the Braves at Turner Field just got me a few more pennies on him today. All the same stuff holds true about the offenses I posted above and Mejia still factors in as well. Bettis can even swing the bat a little bit. I'll back him again to be there for his first win and I already capped the #### out of this game anyway.

Bettis 125/150

I have no idea what is going on with that dude. Toronto opened at +165 at Pinnacle and now sits at +150. He has been absolutely atrocious this season. It makes no sense especially since he is facing a big name pitcher on the road

If you were thinking of rolling with EJax and his hot streak just remember Phillies get Dominic Brown back from the DL today.

TJ> I know, it's ####ed up man. I was all set to have SEA as the ###-end of a parlay today but can't do it. And I wanted them bad especially after last night.
