As for UFC, it is a good card, but not so great gambling wise. I hate cards where i like a bunch of the favorites because you have to hit at a +65-70% rate to make it a good one. here is what i got so far:

Mitrione -120

Nurmagenov -260

Jury -400

Kimura -170

Like i said, looking now i am risking more then i want to with these lines being kind of heavy. But Juryb is better than Ricci in almost all facets of the game, and Nurmy should be able to dominate. Hopefuly Kimura looks just as impressive as he did his first time out there

ETA: also Prazeras +140. I love Jones tomorrow, but seeing how the line has gotten to -900 I think it is hands off

Be careful with Nevada. Fajardo is still banged up and Combs tore his ACL. If Cody dont play the whole game your really going to have an unknown quantity at QB and thats not good in the pistol.

$125 bet pays out $300 and all that needs to happen is for the Packers and Falcons to beat two-beatable teams? I'll take it. I'll have turned $50 into $200 in a 4-day span, so no complaints here if I lose. The initial investment was only $50.

EDIT:

Packers should be able to put away the Bengals who are still a fringe playoff team, they may win their division because it's terrible. And the Dolphins were likely to shut down Steven Jackson anyway, so I'm not sure why the Falcons are at +110. I'm pretty sure Julio Jones can will his way into winning that game all by himself.

Two televised late games, as always looking for some group action to root for. Anyone got any strong leans on the following? Here are my thoughts.

BYU -6 60.5

I always get screwed betting the Stormin' Mormons regardless of sport. Seems like the under might be good here, Utah doesn't play much defense but maybe BYU can slow the game down with their strong rushing attack.

Wyoming -4 65

Air Force has a ridiculously bad defense and Wyoming can throw it around a little. I wouldn't bet the over but that is a pretty high number, kinda like Wyoming side a bit.

During the last 20 years, Utah is 6-4 SU and 4-6 ATS at home versus BYU, as an average home favorite of 3.8 points. However, when they travel to BYU to play the game, they are 7-3 SU and 8-2 ATS as an average road dog of 5.1 points.

Since 2005, Bronco Mendenhall's first season as BYU head coach, Utah is 5-3 SU and 6-2 ATS. They are 2-2 SU and 3-1 ATS against him at his house, as an average road dog of 6.5 points. link

I like the points here too. Same angle as i have used with Utah earlier. They be getting pounded on by the pac 12 teams, they need to win all of the out of conference games to have a chance to be bowl eligible. Very familiar with instate rivals (utah st., byu) and there style of play. BYU has looked good thus far against decent teams, but give me the points in what should be a tight game that could go either way.

Took Utah +7 based on the above. Did find a trend that BYU under Mendenhall is 9-1 SU and 6-3-1 ATS after 13 or more days' rest but am staying put with Utah. Also just took Kansas State +7 -120 for a grip of cash.
