FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (3 Viewers)

Parlayed and individual as soon as they come out on SB

LSU/UGA over 61.5

Bama/Ole Miss over 55.5

I still don't think Vegas has caught up to the fact that the top teams in the SEC have made a shift from defense to offense. LSU, Ole Miss and UGA have gone over in every game this year. Bama is 1-2 over-under. Missed the VT game by .5 and they struggled with CSU last week in the first half (in a stereotypical let down game that was clearly b/w 2 bigger ones)

Hospital doesnt have NFL Network. You figure for the bill, they would provide better channels.

Conrats. I have 2 boys under 2 years old and absolutely love watching football with them.
I have a 5.5, 3.5, and 2 year old and they dont quite "get it".

The only thing they know they like is watching UM run on the field and touch the banner with Hail to the Victors playing. They were pissed the Wolves (thats what they call them) didnt hit the flag Saturday (they were on the road). One kid threw a temper tantrum. Of course I was throwing a temper tantrum during the game, but thats a different story.

I bought some of those eye blacks with the Michigan logo on them at the game last year. They love those things.

Really like the Rams ML +150 @ home tonight, and considering sprinkling the Alt line Rams -3.5 +215.

Talk to me, we think the Rams can do enough in the air to allow the run game to take over and keep the 49ers offense off the field? I feel like there's some good value here.

Good home win to start, and a tough loss week 2 and coming off getting smoked last week, I think this team will be ready even on the short week. If Kaep really is turning into a pumpkin and you believe he'll be contained on the road, this is great value for the home squad.

Good Lord. You got to keep them out voted. Congratulations man!

Sidebar: Wife asked me to go get snipped last night..... We are getting to the point where we really don't want a surprise.

I think I can honestly say I have my first 5 star palladium free money lock of the year.

Over 48 Wazzu Stanford

Really like this one. Probably going a solid 3-4 units.
Nice. Looks like i made it 4 days without putting a college football bet in after swearing it off for the 2nd time so far this season.
And just like that.... the line is down to 47.5. Guess my radar is off on this game. I see a game similar to Zona State this past weekend. The tree gets up early knows it's vs a team that can score in bunches so it keeps the gas pedal down till it hits 30 plus then garbage time points all over the 4Q.

Love the team totals. Quite a bit of value there if you compare to the over/unders at SB.
my favorites are:

BUF U83.5 (the o/u is 76.5 at SB)

CGY U73.5 (the o/u is at 63.5 at SB)

CHI O103.5 (the o/u is at 111.5 at SB)

lots of room in here to try for a middle and win both bets while just risking the vig.

also like these a little bit:

ANA O89.5 (97 at SB)

NYR O97.5 (103.5 at SB)

SJ O95.5 (101.5 at SB)

NYI O87.5 (91.5 at SB)

Derek - congrats GB.

RW/RR Challenge Watchers:

Good season. Glad Wes and CT won. Not fair to have Emily and Paula on the same team.

Did anyone watch Knight #####slap Frank on the reunion? That was kind of awesome.

Congrats Derek, welcome to the world little Wolverine fan

STL +10.5/under 49.5 for tonight.

A couple interesting NFLers this week. London game being played on a soccer field maybe (under?) & Tampa favored with a rookie QB vs Zona going west to east in an early game.

SHARPS... Thursday/Friday report

(Note that SF has gone to -3.5 in many shops)

THURSDAY'S GAMES

SAN FRANCISCO AT ST. LOUIS:

This game opened at San Francisco -3 as a road favorite and hasn’t moved as of press time. The two teams are a combined 1-5 ATS this season…with the only cover being by a point when SF beat Green Bay in their season opener. Both are playing below early season Power Rating expectations. St. Louis in particular has been a disappointment to sharps…many of whom backed them as road dogs in Atlanta and Dallas. Sharps would fade any move off the three keyed by public money. Our sources are telling us that more sharps are interested in the home dog than the road favorite…but enthusiasm for the Rams in general has waned after last week’s blowout loss in Dallas.

Wise Guy money did hit the total, as an opener of 44 has been bet down to 42.5 or 42. Divisional openers are often conservative affairs…because coaches want to save something for the second meeting. That PLUS the general tendency we’ve seen in recent seasons for sluggish offenses on Thursdays is behind that move from what we’re hearing.

VIRGINIA TECH AT GEORGIA TECH:

The team side is set up for a tug-of-war between Georgia Tech -7 and Virginia Tech +7.5. The host has impressed so far…and was a popular money-winner the last two weeks for sharps against Duke and North Carolina. Those wanting to ride the streak are laying the key number when it’s available. There’s enough respect for “Beamer Ball”s ability to create points with defense and special teams though that dog money is coming in at +7.5 on the Hokies. Too early to say yet what the public is going to do. Dog money wouldn’t mind a higher line. Favorite money is already in at a preferred price.

IOWA STATE AT TULSA:

Tulsa opened at -4, but they’ve played so poorly this season that sharp money came in on the dog at that price and anything else higher than a field goal. We're now set up for what is likely to be a tug-of-war between Iowa State +3 and Tulsa -2.5. Favorite money does come in when the line drops below a field goal. Sharps who acted quickly were very happy to get the visiting Cyclones at +4 and +3.5.

FRIDAY’S GAMES

MIDDLE TENNESSEE AT BYU:

Not much interest yet in this game. BYU is a fairly solid -22 as we go to press. They don’t have the kind of offense that sharps prefer to see on a big favorite. You’ll recall the team had trouble scoring against Utah and Virginia (with the big game at Texas solely the result of horrible run defense from the Horns). Middle Tennessee may be so unfamiliar with this kind of altitude that backing the dog is a dice roll. We are hearing that sharps would come in on the dog at +23 if the public moves the number higher before kickoff.

UTAH STATE AT SAN JOSE STATE:

Sharps took an absolute bath last week on San Jose State. You may have even seen some Vegas oddsmaker types on national television touting them as an upset call at Minnesota because the Gophers were using their backup QB. Well, that backup QB turned out to be pretty good, and San Jose was dominated in a bad body clock game. Were they caught looking ahead to this big conference TV spot against Utah State? Many sharps think so. An opener of Utah State -10 has been bet down to San Jose +9.5 or +9 as we go to press. We’re hearing that sharps expect Utah State to be flat off an emotional and physical high profile game against USC. Tough to recover in a short week after a game like that.

Seeing so much love for Vatech at the SBR forums and Covers forum, I wonder if these people are paid by betting sites. The 7.5 is juicy, vatech has owned them in recent matchups, best defense GT has faced, on and on. Man, i just don't see how that bum of a qb they have keeps them in it.

The Chicago football Bears don't lose division games to teams not named Green Bay by more than 7 very often. It won't happen this week either. Two team tease GT -1.5 and Chicago +8.5.

Awesome.

I just grew a little Frank Beamer in my pants reading a THURSDAY SHARPS REPORT.

Xmas baby

NFL Props YTD 35-24-2 +5.8

*1 Bradford under 269.5 passing (-105) Bovada

*.5 D. Richardson over 3.5 receptions (-105) Bovada. Some risk here t because of injury from last week, and Pead digging into snaps. He went 5 receptions both the first two games, and Pead had 7 receptions last week

Much larger card than I expected for tonight:

49'ers -3 -120 3%

49'ers TT 22.5 - 115 1%

Iowa State +3 +100 .5%

Iowa State ML +140 .5%

Georgia Tech -7 -110 1%

:hey: i can't figure out how you slap another guy though. i slap-boxed when i was a young cat, but for the life of me i just can't imagine being pissed at some dude and slapping him. i mean they were in a weird spot with Knight standing over him, but i figure a jab or trying to shove him over on the couch or something would seem to be the move. Maybe spit in his face, but i just can't imagine the physical motion of slapping another guy like that

Anyone really really like GA TECH?

Because I was checking price for a buddy to buy down to 6 and accidentally punched 6u to win 4u GA TECH -6

Modogg or Quinn. Do me a favor and post what the proper pronunciation is for Hokies with a Philly accent.

Is it Hoawkies?
hmm, i have no idea how to phonetically do it. I would think you got it down pretty good. Seeing how i have no idea how it should sound, I think Hoe-keys is how i would do it.

Not sure i see the Rams love. 2 weeks ago everybody was wondering who could come close to the 49'ers in the Super Bowl. i don't think they roll over and die just yet.

49'ers -3

Mind you, i have had some horrible calls in NFl this year, so fade, fade, fade

I don't love it, but I think there is good value in the Rams
