FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (6 Viewers)

Take a look at Baylor@ Kansas St. Opening line is Baylor -17.5 with the total at 79. Baylor has averaged 70+ points in it's first four games. Kansas State has trouble stopping anybody, in large part due to a turnover margin of -9. If you think that Oregon can score, watch the Bears. I like the Bears to cover by halftime and the over gets trounced as well.

texans win. add them in a couple teasers. i just don't see them losing 4 in a row. especially to the rams. don't care who the qb is.

If Julio Jones is really hurt, that helps the under season yards
 And we need it. If Jones plays all 16 we are in trouble, he might get to 1330 in 15 games.

Brady, Lynch and Foster are all looking good though (frankly I'm ready to call game on Brady)

EDIT: Oh man - I didnt see that he came down with @ids. Wow, that is good news for us.

Oklahoma -14 vs. Texas. The Longhorns run defense is a sieve and Oklhoma has the 2nd best rushing offense in the Big12 (Baylor). David Ash is still out at QB for UT, like it would matter anyway. Stoops owns Mack. Lay the points in what should be blowout.

Kubiak is sticking with Schaub, who has no confidence left. Owen Daniels is out 4-8 weeks due to a leg SNAP!! I wouldn't take the Texans right now, they are not good. I might play the under. The Texans haven't scored a Td in their last 7 quarters.

I said it in the preseason. I said it again a few weeks ago. And now I say it again because I don't think the odds will get much better then this.

Georgia +2500

They already have wins at LSU and vs SC on the resume and a 3 point loss @ Clemson on opening night.

Missou at home

@ Vandy

Cocktail Party vs Florida

Appalachian state

@ Auburn

Kentucky

@ Georgia Tech

Anything can and will happen in NCAA sports. That being said they really can run the table here. Florida is a key win. Now *if* they do run the table your holding a ticket at 25-1 going into the SEC game with Bama. And at that point I'd feel comfortable saying that whoever wins that game will win the NC.

I think you can lay off some money on the Bama ML and let the rest ride in this situation. i see real value in +2500 here.

My hockey futures at RB:

Team Points

2U Calgary U73.5 (-115)

2U Chicago O103.5 (-115)

2U Buffalo U83.5 (-115)

1U Anaheim O89.5 (-115)

1U NY Rangers O97.5 (-115)

1U San Jose O95.5 (-115)

1U NY Islanders O87.5 (-115)

Might hedge out of that Rangers bet though. Liking it less given their long road trip to start the season.

Player Matchups

2U Goals Stamkos > Malkin (-160)

1U Goals Neal > Malkin (-115)

1U Goals Perry > Iginla (-125)

1U Goals Moulson > Eriksson (-135)

1U Points Perry > Iginla (-140)

1U Points Eriksson > B.Ryan (+110)

1U Points Marleau > Gaborik (+110)

2U Points M.Koivu > Kesler (-130)
Nice to get an easy winner

Here's one for you Chainsaw

@Johnny_Detroit: Teams coming off a bye and favored on the road over the past 10 years are 70% against the spread in the NFL.

P.S. It's the Panthers
If you bump the days of rest up to a full 13, which is how many the Panthers will be on, it increases to 34-10-1 (77.3%). And, assuming they are lined as the favorite, you will have another opportunity to play this trend in week 6 with the Steelers.
I guess not!

Do we have a Pirates/Cards game or total lean, gents?
That game is tomorrow...we should focus on today

Tigers -146 to the bank
:bag:
crazy top of the 8th there. i have to think that is a kick in the gut for the A's and it's hard to get back up mentally after watching bases loaded with no outs go nowhere
Want to talk about a kick in the gut? I punched A's +425 before the 8th started

In + the o7.5

also like Boston ML and o7.5 in the late game
Just getting back from lil Haiti but I had these 4 -sox ML(can't bet against my team) and also a Det/STL parlay and a Bos TT o3.5.

Hellickson has burnt me in the recent past but only after I made good money on his overs mucho times this year. He'll have to show me that the Sox won't score 4...and if that happens i'll be happy to pay for it.

C'mon Rays...gimme a game 5.

eta i've touched o7.5 quite a few times throughout the day, may add more in live if scoring starts slow.

They are very banged up. Proceed with caution.

Man, live betting down to 4 so I tapped it again....lots of runners on base. Maybe tonights the 2-1 finish but if so i'll tip the cap.

i'll join you in the middle of the 7th for the hell of it if something comes up

ETA: dogs were wilin' out so i missed the top of the 7th play. looks like my number won't be as sweet but i will still join

I do like that 1 Rays run = 2 game runs. I don't like that it'll likely have to be against that filthy dude.

i got over 5, and took TB +1 (ev). will be pissy if Boston scores 1 run and that's it

is this game in TB? that is possibly some of the worst "arena music" i can remember ever hearing a stadium play. there is some horrible one's in hockey, but a remix of Kris Kross's jump is just simply unacceptable. It wasn't this Matt Joyce's music, was it?

It's in st Pete where they usta play hockey.

It's gonna sting more that the rays end their season on a wild pitch over the over bets not hitting tonight. Wil Myers, your time dude.

:hot: Don't do me like this TB...

Lines for the UFC tomorrow SUCCKK. I really want to try and sit this one out and judging how the last few days have been it is best if i do.

I'm taking a slightly different approach this Saturday. I picked out 4 leans that I really like and I'm betting a little more on them.

Stanford -9

Baylor -18

Boise -7

Washington +14.5

I think I need to try a similar approach Ref but my book put up some early lines Saturday that i already threw a unit or 2 on, so maybe next week

I did get Oregon -13.5 so I'll be rooting for a 14 pt win...might even try the 1pt middle

Shaping up to be a MONSTER teaser week

with the thursday night game getting things started

I figured the Steez would have an advantage playing the Jets after their Monday night game, since it would be a short week for them and the Steelers have had 2 weeks to prepare. So I did an entire database query, with the earliest game going back to 10/7/1990.

Teams' record after a bye week, playing against a team who just played on Monday night:

10-21 SU (.323)

9-21-1 ATS (.300)

And if you narrow those down to away games:

4-12 SU (.250)

4-11-1 ATS (.267)

Just to make sure I narrowed it down to Sunday games within the regular season and got the same result. :oldunsure:
