FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (5 Viewers)

Shields looking GOOD tonight.
yeah, the scoring will be interesting here. best bet here was the over on the rounds because you knew neither guy was going to submit either. Shields has done a lot of dry humping, and not much of anything offensive, so not sure how exactly the judges will score this one. After that Beltran-Maldonado decision, i am not sure how this one will be scored

I'm kinda shocked...didn't think Maia could possibly lose this fight, even after I watched it. Then again, not sure that he won it, either.

Yeah. I'm still salty about how they had Beltran lose his fight, and i figured with the scoring in that one that Maia would get this. Figures this is how it would go. That fight was a tough one to score, and I am not even sure who i would have given it to (was doing wash during the 1st and back and forth for some of the others).

Denver over 1.5 punts.

Either they win by 50 and the second team in out there in the 3Q or it's a "close 35 point game" and somehow jax manages to stop them a couple of times. It's not like Denver is going to go for it on 4th and 3 if they are up even one point... no reason to.

Just hit run scored live bets for the last 3 innings and now its not showing me anything for the 8th

Sometimes the books stop offering the live bets in the 8th and 9th innings.

If this is at RB sometimes they miss innings and a line never shows up.

NCAA game tomorrow; I found some stats. The 1st page is a side-by-side comparison of how Cincy and Temple differ the most. Cincy's significant stats all seem to be toward the top of the national rankings, while Temple's significant stats seem to be in the bottom of the national rankings, which is what the second page is showing you. I wanted to make a case for the over, and Temple will probably allow some points, but I'm not sure they can hold up their end of the bargain offensively. link

Weather in Manhattan looks good to go on Saturday, too.

Saturday
Partly cloudy. High of 72F. Winds from the North at 5 to 10 mph.

thats the one that kind of stood out IMO too.

I am all over Oklahoma State 25/1 to win the Basketball Championship. I think they're a top 5 team.
I have a few pennies on Mich St. They return a solid lineup.

What do you see in OK St?
On Michigan State a bunch as well, but at 10-1 not as much value.

As for OK State, they were pretty good last year and have basically the same team back. I think Marcus Smart can carry them and is one of the top players in the NCAA, and with Markel Brown they have one of the top backcourts in the nation. LeBryan Nash seems to be maturing (his FG% went way up as he learned to take better shots and defer to Smart) and I think he can help out in the paint more this year as he gets a little bigger. Their absolutely stacked at guard, and as long as one of their many options can play credibly in the paint I think they're a Final Four team.

Maybe something can be said for Temple's red-zone defense. Teams have scored on 21-of-26 trips inside the Temple 20, but only eight of those scores have been touchdowns. Cincinnati is ranked very high on defense. But aside from Illinois, their opponents have ranked in the 117-122 range offensively this season. That is also where Temple ranks, however. One unknown is that Temple's rookie QB is getting his first start. He threw a late TD versus Louisville, but it was in a blowout against their second-string defense. Temple is 4-1 to the under this year, with the lone over hitting in their game versus the only FCS team they played, Fordham, who beat them 30-29.

This is 40/1 at Sportsbook.
Yeah but the max bet is $10..... and then they will cut you to $5 tonight.
I don't understand their limits usually, but they did let me put $25 on this one to $1000.
Yeah they are strange with this stuff. I put 20 on it, could have put 235.

On July 23rd I made this wager for 50. Thought i was tailing someone from in here but maybe it was SBR or covers or someone at the bar. Its the same day i bet the Dodgers to win the pennant at +350. But who the F was i tailing making a Golden St to win NBA championship?

Leans for CFB. Chalkys. NIU prohibitive over Akron -23. Bama -28 over Kentucky. Waiting for a Auburn/W.Carolna spread. Doggies. Indiana +9.5, Pitt +9.5 and Northwestern +10. Probably throw in with the cover darlings Ducks and Bears.

My props limits now vary between winning $3, $5, and $10

what's the deal with the Lee Corso props? I haven't followed closely but last week I think Northwestern was like +800 and Washington seems to be offering similar value this week (at 5d anyway).

Is it really that certain that he's going to pick the favorite each week or is there any value here with the underdog?

SEC guys...I grabbed Georgia -9.5 Saturday night thinking it was good value. Has since dropped down to -7 so I'm thinking I should buy out of this one and just eat the juice.

Thoughts?

Georgia is severely banged up and should have lost to a bad Tennessee team. I posted above, proceed with caution

ETA: I haven't watched a down that Mizzou has played this year. But their 5-0 record is deceptive...havent' played anyone (Murray St, Toledo, Indiana, Ark State and Vandy)

Statistically, the odds of any given NFL Team losing 6 games in a row are pretty small. That said, this is the 2013 Giants we're talking about, who have had a statistically impossible amount of unfavorable circumstances come their way in this improbable Season...and they are playing this 6th game on the road. However, IMHO, and only IMHO, I think something's got to give. Although I think the Bears will win, I don't think the Giants get blown out, and I think they'll easily combine for the League Average points. So I see what I think is as good an opportunity to take a small risk trying to hit a middle, more or less just to have some action on the game.

7-point teaser:

.5% NYGiants +14.5 / OVER 40

.5% Chicago Bears -.5 / OVER 40

Getting Louisville at less than 3 TD is probably a gift, but I worry about them staying interested enough to prevent a backdoor cover by Rutgers.

I think San Diego St. -3.5 @ Air Force is a solid line, still debating how much to lay. Wish this was a home game for the Aztecs.

Hidden Gem: Rocky Long, the Aztecs Coach, knows Air Force and their Option Attack very well, having defended them and it as the DC and HC of conference rival New Mexico for years before coming to San Diego State. Air Force's defense is horrible, and this is the 3rd game in a row SDSU has played with Quin Kaehler at QB. The season starter was horrible, and they've improved their offensive efficiency every week since he was replaced.

Phil Steele thinks they will win by about 10 but they are really banged up and Missouri is solid.
