I think history will view Affleck much in the same vein as Nic Cage. Two guys who considered themselves serious thespians, yet it was a total clown show the minute they appeared on-screen. Did you see Affleck in Boiler Room? Oy vey.

Good man, you sound like my pops. Great man, took a hard line when he needed to, but was awesome. In times where I though "I was/am right" and looking back, I was just a young, stupid fool.

Affleck was overbearingly bad in that, but that movie was so enjoyable to me, even he couldn't ruin it for me.

 
Pretty sure I tailed people in here on Pitt, Utah St, and the Under in the late game. Didn't watch a second of any game but my account grew just the same.

I felt like they just transported his character from Boiler Room (which was an obvious but decent nick of Glengarry Glen Ross) into this movie. It's the same guy, basically.

Same cat who wrote Rounders. Same beginning with the guy in school, taking a shot with his tuition money, getting cleaned out. Struggling to go straight vs. the degen life. I think the book was based on the Absolute Poker scandal, which was good enough without having to dramatize it. From what I remember from following that scandal.

The lovely thing about little girls is they're not given to violence the way boys are. "I'm going to throw you in my laundry hamper." :lmao: :lmao: She's overall a great kid and it's partially our fault for letting it go on too long, but when she's pissed it kind of rolls off my back. Which is a nice quality to have.

RN> I don't think she really understands what the internet is beyond YouTube and the Katy Perry and cat videos it contains, but I do frequently tell her which team on TV are the "bad guys" and which are the "good guys."

anyone with a strong opinion on the maryland/ marshall game? i have no feel for it what so ever. Any major injuries, suspensions, something to sway me towards a side?

I was looking at this as well. My predicted point total said the total should be 60.5, and the under seems like the better play. Marshall has a good offense with Cato and Washington, but Maryland's D was decent down the stretch and . These teams had one common opponent which was Va Tech. Marshall lost 29-21, Maryland won 27-24.

Maryland game totals went over 57 just three times, and one of those was a 63-0 loss to FSU. I think the total boils down to Maryland's offense vs Marshall's D, and what Maryland can actually do is still somewhat of a mystery. I think I might join you, too many question marks for Maryland and I don't think Marshall will move the ball up and down the field. Weather is nice here though, cool and sunny conditions.
