I use a group chat program with 11 of my childhood friends. We're all degen gamblers and post plays regular.

Lately a few of them got hot tailing my buddy taking Moneyline favorites to the point where my buddy ended up closer to 6 figures than zero dollars and Bought a new car.

The worst part is, every morning they come in and start bragging about hitting -310 moneyline favorites as if they were good calls.

I need some good counter-smack to run here.

A couple of picks I'm tailing from a chap at sbr. He does have a propensity to always get better lines than whats available when he posts. His record since i've been following has been awesome though. Oral Roberts -8(unchanged), Mcneese st -7(-7.5) and Rutgers +2(-1.5). 3.5 swing on the rutgers game, but i'll buy the clip and hope for the win.

Edit: His line on Rutgers was -2, not +2, so we got a clip in our favor, not 3.5 swing i posted.

I mean, if they're winning enough to cash out a Mercedes, they're not booking bad plays. -310 ML's are definitely not sexy plays, but if you're putting the time in and calling them correctly enough to cash out luxury cars, it's working.

Unsexy money line plays like this just require an absolute ton of capital in the bankroll to get the system going. Hey, if you have the dough to get a system like that going, and are hitting enough to be profitable, enjoy it! It's like they are playing the Pats ML every week with a ginormous bankroll to get the same $100 we are hoping to get if they cover giving something like -7.5 points.

If you have the cash to do it after all your other retirement savings and all the other responsible stuff is accounted for, by all means!

 
Generally speaking, poker play is much better then 5 years ago. That's what makes moments like the following special. I had someone call my A-A all in for $1,200 preflop ($950 more) with 6-6 because "he thought I was over playing A-K". Somehow A-A managed to hold up and I even picked up two all in money for $500 in the process.

I was thinking about something small

50 to win 193 on MC

50 to win 158 on a draw

angling to win 58 or 93 on a MC win or draw.

If had to pick something i liked best, would probably say over 3 on Barcelona/MC but that is at a steep -150 and a decent chance it pushes

Will throw something small as lineups are confirmed.

 
Texas Southern beat Grambling by two and three points in the regular season. They opened at -15 at Pinnacle but the line is now -16 -116. There is no injury news. Hm

 
I like the Missouri future. Sagarin says the line should be A&M +5 on Thursday. Missouri went 8-2 SU as the favorite in SEC play (7-0 L7), but only covered four times. So you are looking at a potential hedge w/A&M plus the points on Thursday to middle the future bet, and then you are free balling +4000 (5d) after that. A&M went 3-6 SU and 5-4 ATS as the SEC dog, pushed their L3 SEC games lined as the underdog into overtime - they only won one of them SU, but covered all three.

I took the same. It is a strange line but the total is only 115 - even if its a sucker line to take VT the scoring should be low making it more likely to cover the 8. I would be more concerned if the total was 130+
