FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (5 Viewers)

So, other than Taylor Braun and the propensity for #5 vs #12 games to wind up as upsets, are there any other compelling reasons to not like Oklahoma vs North Dakota St.?

The Sooners have a very strong offense, although sometimes they struggle with inside scoring, They're great with free throws. The starting 5 has started every game and their 1st guy off the bench is Big 12 6th man of the year. They don't play much defense, but they are the living definition of that 'team that beats everyone they're supposed to beat'. They only seem to struggle vs the elite teams they face. On the flipside, ND State doesn't play defense either, and are particularly poor defending the outside, which is OU's strength. ND State has an efficient offense, and Braun is a monster, but I'd have to imagine a Team with as much continuity as the Sooners would be able to manage him, and the Bison really don't have much else. Man-for-man depth, in terms of quality of athlete, Sooners have the advantage, and -3.5 isn't asking much...

The Bisons lead the NCAA in FG %

Frosty> Thanks for the Saunders SB tip. Wish others could have won at 11 too. Also FYI, 5dimes opened Saunders at 14.5 long after the other sites had it up. It lasted for seconds before getting pounded from -115 to -185 and then pulled.

If Oregon doesn't cover here it will cost me a unit... and not winning the 8 units i'll cash in a S&G parlay I threw together in 2 minutes if they cover the 5...

:suddenly very vested:

#2 Michigan -15 over #15 Wofford Midwest Region, Milwaukee, WI 2u Getting the 1u back I'm losing on Florida (Really, Gators?)...I really like Michigan's chances to go the distance. Veteran leadership, great shooting percentage, very, very careful with the basketball. Their weak spot is interior defense, and that may catch up to them down the road, especially if Tennessee beats U.Mass and gets past Duke, which I think is reasonable, but I digress...Wofford is one of the ugliest girls at the Dance. The Southern Conference is one of the weakest in the nation, and Wofford was the #3 Seed there, who beat the #11, #7, and barely beat the #5 Seed to get the auto bid. They can play a little D, but struggle mightily on offense and when they actually play good teams, they get spanked by about 20 on average. We've seen some blowouts today, and this could be right up there with the worst of them.

It really chaps my ### that I can't bet against N.C. State in this upcoming game, because as much as teams like Wofford and Milwaukee don't belong in this field, at least they won auto-bids. NC State was the worst at-large selection, by far, and IMO it's borderline disgraceful that they made the field over the likes of SMU and a few others. Then Xavier plays possibly their worst game of the season on Thursday, and the Wolfpack moves on...now they get St. Louis, who I've learned the hard way, is a sham themselves, over-rated and over-seeded, so it's perfectly likely N.C. St. wins again. I hate that. Well, if that happens, there's always Saturday, when a real Team like Louisville will expose the Wolfpack for the fraud they are. If that spread is anything less than 20, I'll likely drop the hammer on it.

feeling the itch. not even sure when the 2nd bet goes off, but here we go:

St. Joe's 2nd half +5

asteve Austin +6.5

would have taken SJU for the game but missed it. want action on the boys

After school last night a man in my class asked me to help him and his family start an Asian grocery store. Nobody will give him the time of day whenever he calls the leasing office because he only speaks broken English.
I'm going to a meeting downtown with this dude in a hour. I better get a good samaritan award for this ####.
Seems like at a minimum he owes you a night with one of his Asian daughters
We had our picture taken with the mayor on live television today for the small business success program.

Great game, tough battle into OT. Congrats, JB and all Uconn backers. Uconn fought back from a 1H deficit and sealed a nice tourney win tonight in Buffalo.

Now go beat Nova!!

In on Manhattan ATS and ML. This Texas game is too boring. Also +9 +103 1H. They never lost the 1H by more than 9 in non-conference play this season. Not even for the money I love them and hope they win. I also want to fade the public hard in this one and get one off Louisville that way.

+16 102/100

+9 1H 100/103

ML 100/1575
