FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (3 Viewers)

Wichita State line has dropped to -4.5. What gives? If it's Kentucky getting action as a public favorite, all the more reason to pound the Shockers...anything else come into play?

ETA: Total has also dropped from 134.5 to 133...

NIT 3PM: St. Mary's +7 @ Minnesota - I don't think there's a team in the WCC that can compete with the Big 10 heavies, but once you get past the Wolverines, Sparty, Badgers and to a lesser extent the Buckeyes, and you get into Hawkeye-Husker etc. territory, Gonzaga, BYU, San Francisco and St. Mary's can play with any of them. The Waldow kid for the Gaels is a special player. Not quite Dellavadova special, but pretty close, and they have a solid supporting cast, and this team has a lot of fight - they play a physical, agressive style and are going to be a load for Gophers to handle. Line moved from 6.5 to 7. I think this is going to be a tight one.

 
I'm on the WSU ML big. One thing we've seen thus far is that TEAMS beat talented young individual players. The Shockers win this game.

 
I'm trying to figure out if I should hedge with a UK 2H bet. (Sitting on a large Wichita ML ticket right now).

I suppose it would be prudent. Good shot of winning both bets, right? :shrug:

I'd stay the course, RN - looking at the Box Score, this is Wichita State's game right now. The rebounding battle is about even, Kentucky is not getting to the line, Shockers shooting percentage is around average, Kentucky's is way above average, which should regress to the mean, Andrew Harrison and Cauley-Stein each have 2 fouls...it's a shame the Shockers aren't up 8, but I think they continue to control the flow and pace of this game, and as time wears down, the young, inexperienced and inconsistent Wildcats crack under the pressure...but that's just my opinion.

Did this. I can always recoup a bit of cash with live betting late in the game if things stay tight.

Gotta keep drawing fouls on those Kentucky bigs. Cauley-Stein just picked up #3, Poythress right after that with his 1st, but the Shockers have to hit their free throws.

My youngest stepdaughter just asks what team we are rooting for, and then joins in. This is short lived as she doesn't really want to watch more than 5 or 10 minutes of most games. Still fun though. She thinks Wichita St. should change mascots like to a warlock or wizard. Makes sense.

I don't think soI like the Ducks and Nucks more among chalk teams tonight. Preds always play Chicago tough it seems.

I don't know though. Preds are a tough team to figure this year for me.

Man, you would think. I have it thrown into a parlay as of now(Ducks ML and Cavs 1st half) for small action. I've been doing well recently betting on/against the Hawks/Bulls. I'm still leary of the game and could see a letdown. I don't think the Hawks care much about seeding and home ice sometimes, and they skate like it. But when they want to make a statement (game with the blues), they skate to their potential and play a mad game of D.

 
Well, that's quite the swing.

Going into the last 4 games of last night, I was up just shy of 20u through Friday and Saturday.

So, I have some tattoos. Work done by a good friend who's an outstanding artist with his own studio about 45 minutes north in Frederick. Fiancee has always fascinated by them, and all his art work at the studio, so weeks ago, finally decides to get her 1st. After helping make her appointment, specifically to make sure it didn't conflict with any sports betting/watching enjoyment, she gets a call to reschedule, does so without consulting me, and lo and behold, 7PM Saturday, honest mistake on her part, I think. Now, to be fair, she's tremendous about football and basketball, she's even gone from not knowing jack about sports when we met almost 6 years ago, to actually being a knowledgeable football fan, and has learned enough about basketball to at least know how to root for the teams I'm backing. Ultimately, it's my fault - yesterday afternoon, she's all about driving up and getting her work done leaving me home to watch hoops and win $$$. Well I'm up HUGE, and I don't really like anything at the moment, and she's really good to me, and she's got this look in her eyes like she'd really like me to come along even though she doesn't want to interrupt my time with the hoops, so I step away from the computer and TV...

...never, EVER #### with a streak...

...get home last night, 2nd H Sparty, Villanova, Clemson, St. Mary's, Wichita St...that's -14u, fellas.

I cannot bet this Mercer/Tennessee game. I don't trust the Vols with that big of a spread, and I'm skeered off the -420 ML...

...but I'm taking a break to go to the store,and clear my head. Gotta get off the schnide.

In the meantime, Virginia -7, 3u. write-up to follow. Will probably play some -300 ML as well.

Love Creighton, too, and Gonzaga. Maybe UCLA. We'll see.

With that Luongo news, I parlayed Ducks, Ducks over 5.5 and Preds +1.5. can hit both parlays still if hawks win by 1.

Not sure how this is possible. Now at 12 in a row with bets out on ISU and Mercer who are both likely to lose as well.

This is getting surreal.
