FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (3 Viewers)

So this Homerun and RBI only league I signed up for because the VP of my company asked me to. He knows I'm a big baseball guy. I figured I'd do so because it's some hometown friends of his who run it and I'd get extra face time with the boss's boss.

300 dollar entry fee. I just see a commissioner note change a few hours before the draft that *Commissioner gets 100 dollar discount for managing the league.

I almost went MOP. What in the #### do you have to "manage" on an espn hosted Homerun only league?! :lmao:

What's the play here? Back out a few minutes before the draft risk and passing off my VP or grinning and bearing it?
You have no choice. Grin, bear it and take down the whole effin' pot!!!
Yeah - figured as much. I think I'm up for a promotion in the very near future too. I need to play it safe, even though I'd like to punch his commish friend in the wiener.

This a good bet?

10269 Automatic bid team wins NCAA Tournament -185
Zona and Wisc only real threats there.
that bet is confusing to me, so I'm trying to figure out exactly which teams fall into each bucket.found this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_NCAA_Men%27s_Division_I_Basketball_Tournament

AQ still alive (with current odds from BV):

Virginia (10/1)

Louisville (5/1)

Iowa St (20/1)

Michigan St (11/2)

UCLA (14/1)

Florida (10/3)

non AQ:

Wisconsin (16/1)

Arizona (6/1)

Dayton (75/1)

Stanford (50/1)

UConn (28/1)

San Diego St (33/1)

Baylor (20/1)

Kentucky (14/1)

Tennesee (28/1)

Michigan (16/1)
Not worth it,IMO. Arizona is very, very talented. They could easily win it all.

I hit up everyone else in the office before the draft to make sure they are on bird with breaking his balls..... And then do just that.....

Crappy crappy leadership. If anything he should put in an extra hundred....NEVER put yourself in a position to take money from the people who work for you.

I don't think the VP is the commish if I'm reading that right
I think if there are opportunities to goof on him, go for it, but you don't wanna come off bitter or cranky, even if this guy's being a ####-rod.
yeah - hometown friend of my VP. I don't know him at all.

The VP will likely be my boss in the next few months.

Gotta play it clean even though it's such a #### move to collect a 100 dollar fee to run a HR league. Completely agree I need to eat #### here. Just wanted to make sure I shouldn't be calling the sleazeball out. I mean - my career is probably more important than impressing the FFAWT, right?

Gamehunter 10-0 L10, 68-35 overall spring training, with white sox pending (up 8-4 in 8th). I wish spring training would never end.

Yeah, it's a ##### move but it's only $100. Good standing with your VP is worth much more than that. Forget about the $100 and just win the league.

add a note that you will do it for $90. :moneybag:

With the favorites he plays, any idea what that translates to units wise? just curious. TIA
I haven't seen him play anything over -135 or so. Probably 85% of his plays are favorites prob avg around -115 to -120, but lines usually have moved 10 cents by the time I've played them. He must play when lineups are released.

He did well in spring training last year and started the regular season well then had a bad stretch. I don't plan on playing his regular season plays.

Shocking - the GM of this league and his 4 brothers have 4 of the top 6 picks.

Everyone with a different last name is in the bottom 6. :lmao:
lol that's awful. This is where you bring in your secret weapon GooRoo for half the pot
I'd pay him 100 bucks just to draft for me.

GR - hit me up if you can handle this in the next 13 minutes

100 up front or half of the winnings - your choice (1900 for first place)

Man it's good to see Lebron attack the rim with Hibbert in there. Bosh did it game 7 last year and got Hibbert in foul trouble but I don't recall James ever attacking with Roy guarding.

Also amazing how Hibbert turns into Wilt against the Heat.

BOOMCUSHIONGOAL!!!

Ducks/Flames o5½ +110

Based on Flames' second consecutive home game (average goals 9 ±1.6 L4) and Ducks as the road favorite (8-1-1 O/U since Nov 26).

The King is on his game tonight. Good thing, because his D is doing him no favors so far.
I hope some of you are watching this. One of the best goaltending performances I've seen all season. He's got to be in Philly's head. They could have 4 goals right now against a mortal goalie. Unbelievable chances he's turning aside.

Absolutely kills me how he preaches money management, and then POW!!!.... $10,000.... lose. $20,000.... lose. What the hell, let's go $60K now.

What could go wrong???

Notice that too. Martingdale his whales. Ridiculous show. I'm just watching to see how stupid it could possibly get.

I think every last minute is staged based on GPJ blowing the lid off the fact that that Miami/UNC and Zona/Seattle game were going on AT THE SAME TIME!!!

Was supposed to have my FB draft tonight but I'm a ####### and never switched the draft order around. ####### yahoo wouldnt let me do it when I tired 25 minutes before. Wasted everyone's time and now we have to draft tomorrow. What a ####### I am, and yahoo blows

Good shtick, watching the Ball State game on his client's laptop in the hotel room. Probably couldn't find that game on in a sportsbook in any of the 200 casinos in town.
