My early lean is still Iowa St -1.5 tomorrow over my Huskies, unfortunately.

I may play Iowa St as strictly an emotional hedge for a few units.

Lump, how you feeling about it?
I have a bet on uconn +1.5 and I really really hope it loses
Last year I had a Louisville (thanks again Frosty) and let it ride - they seemed to be a cut above the rest.I have futures on Iowa St (thanks) Mich St (GooRoo and Frosty) Michigan (thanks) and Wisconsin (thanks also)- I think those other three were on your recommedation. I was having a really difficult time this year figuring out where to hedge. I put in a decent size ML bet on UCONN as well but no big favorites tonight in the other games. Mich is 23/1 and MSU is 12/1
I don't think Iowa state, dayton, tennessee, kentucky or uconn can win this tourney. The other teams all have a shot. Really looking forward to msu/virginia tonight
May I ask what percentage of your possible ISU future winnings you put on Conn?

It's not a hedge, I just put a normal bet in.

200 to win 20k if ISU wins the national title and I bet 550 to win 500 on uconn +1.5

LOL @ the statement "DeSean Jackson" just released. He couldn't spell half the words in that missive, much less know what the words mean.

I requested a payout from Bovada and got a check via fedex like 2 or 3 days later. Was amazingly fast.

every check I've gotten from sportsbook so far has taken a month or two.
might check bovada.. do you know if prepaid visa cards still work for deposit?

Do you think Arizona might have ganed a little value after that game last night. And do you think the same can be said about Wisconsin losing some value after playing baylor.

They will work as long as they are ok for international use. That's the only PIA with BV now is its Visa or nothing to deposit.

3 of the 4 games went over last night. Thinking of taking all 4 overs tonight. Desperation sets in with win-or-go-home games... maybe more fouling late in the games than you would normally see. Taking UVA/MSU over is scary but the total is already very low.
TALK TO ME CHAIN!!! :gang2:

What's up buddy. Well, the Tennessee total got bet up to 136. And their O/U record as the dog is 1-8-1 (0-5 O/U as the dog in non-conference). Plus the TribecalledJeff guy that you guys were talking about in here likes the under in that one.

The Virginia total you mentioned was interesting and I think Swirve took the under on that one, but damn, people had to see that under coming a mile away just based on the reputation of these two teams, so it struck me as being fishy. And it has gone up two points since open, I think.

Just noticed that IAST is 1-5 SU and ATS this season in games lined three points or less and 0-5 SU and ATS L5. The average margin in the losses was -12 ±7. They went 0-3 SU and ATS when they received the majority of the action in those games.

Any way to find UConn's ATS record at MSG for the last several years?

In NHL database you can query by city, but not NCAAB. I can do it by date - if you have the dates of the games they played at MSG. I'll be home for another hour or so.. everyone is talking about that but I don't understand the angle.

I think most people are thinking that UConn tends to play very well in MSG.

The UConn basketball history that has followed has made frequent stops at Madison Square Garden, the storied arena so accessible for fans in Connecticut, so much a part of the dreams of every basketball player. The NCAA played 71 tournament games there between 1943 and 1961, and the Huskies were involved in six of them. As they chased college basketball's highest peak, eventually winning national championships in 1999, 2004 and 2011, they also reached plateaus at the Garden, winning the National Invitation Tournament in 1988 and seven Big East tournaments there between 1990 and 2011, coming at times to regard it as their home away from home. UConn's all-time record there is 59-52.

Since 2011 I found 11 games that UConn played at MSG: I think they played in four tournaments there and then two away games versus St. John's. link

That ticket prices being so high indicate that it's going to be a pretty heavy UConn crowd. I think MSG is probably worth about another 3 points, somewhat similar to MSU playing the F4 in Detroit a few years ago.

I'm also on the under, given that they're going to have to slow down some with Niang out and not much bench to speak of.

saw an article on deadspin on this too and made me like my uconn bet a bit more. Ticket prices are crazy, and should be heavy Uconn crowd

The line opened knowing Niang was out - that shouldn't affect your decision.

Ok I can win 10k on ISU. put in 500 for Conn +2 -115 at Bovada. Lets go Cyclones by 1.

I don't think they've taken it into account enough. What would the line supposedly be if he were healthy, -5 or -6? I dunno if I can see that.

I am not sure they "slowed down" vs UNC. I know UNC gets up and down the court, but ISU was doing the same thing.

I'm playing Iowa State -1, just to have a betting interest in the game, 1u. I liked Iowa State a bunch before the Niang injury. It's now documented that I'm negatively biased vs U. Conn. basketball, in general, so in some nonesensical personal way, I just want to be there collecting at the window, when the Huskies go down, same as Duke. I was wrong last time they played, but it only cost me 2u (game, 2nd half). Bias aside, from a personnel standpoint, they don't look to me like a Team that can win a National Championship, so if I lose tonight, it's only 1u, and I'll get it back down the road, before this all winds up, I'd bet more against them playing a stronger opponent, ideally one with strong perimeter D and strong inside O.. I'll say this, though - the Huskies know how to play D, and when their outside game is 'on', they are tough to beat...of course there's no way to know which way that's going to go ahead of time, but they seem to be 'on' more often than not lately. Again they go up against a Team that's strong in the paint, which is the Huskies weak point, so IF the Huskies aren't knocking them down from the perimeter, I think the Cyclones can win handily...but that's a big IF...

Vols/Wolverines - I just want to watch this be a great game, a shame these 2 can't meet in the next Round. Same with 'hoos/Sparty. I like these 4 so much, and I think they are so evenly matched, I don't care to have $ wagered on either side.

I am however VERY on Louisville -4 tonight. Don't know how much yet, but at least 2u on the books, maybe more. If I'm right about the Cyclones, I'll flip that on Louisville, at least.

#8 Kentucky vs #4 Louisville -4, Midwest Region, Indianapolis, IN I follow the hell out of SEC Basketball. Like to try to handicap it, but don't wind up doing that well during Conference play. I do OK betting college hoops in general, so I've convinced myself it's just the idiosyncrasies of the Conference itself that trip me up, but I do know the Teams, and I think vs Wichita State we saw Kentucky at their finest. Not sure they can play better, but very sure that asking them to string together games like that is very unlikely. These Wildats are undeniably talented - but they are young, raw, immature, and maddeningly inconsistent, and I think that as the pressure goes up, the less likely it is that they can overcome their nature. I don't think it's very likely that this particular Wildcats team beats this particular Louisville team twice in one season. Kentucky won the regular season game. Kentucky is terrific from the stripe, and Louisville is not - but that's the only thing that has me concerned tonight. If the Cardinals can clean the defensive glass, I think they'll have a relatively easy time with this. I think they can do it.

ETA: The deciding factor for me is this particular Wildcats Team, I don't think they'll be able to match Louisville's defensive pressure or veteran savvy in a game of this magnitude, especially coming off the off the charts performance vs Wichita State. Don't see them having that game twice in a row, especially vs a better opponent.

Tenn/Michigan total is already looking fantastic. I'd like to roll it over into something in the LOU/KY game but I haven't decided what that is yet.

Any additional thoughts? Over maybe?

Michigan 2H +2, 1u my hedge on Iowa State. U. Conn. is on fire from the perimeter, hard to see them losing tonight, and it could get ugly, I think the Vols are finding themselves outmanned, outrun and outgunned, and we're going to see more of the same in the 2nd half.

FWIW, Sir Charles embarrassingly backed off of his Louisville to the Final 4 prediction at the half of the Tenn/Mich game. Take that with a HUGE grain of salt, but he basically said this Kentucky matchup is awful for them.
