FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (5 Viewers)

Ouch. They still coulda lost in OT though.

My win had no shot. You ever seen an onside kick returned for a TD before? Might be the only time ever.

Lol at this week's episode of money talks.

The 2 guys Pirelli gave the under to might be more obnoxious than Steve Stevens.

"Take the under 45"

/call Pirelli - "yo man, it's 7-7 after th first quarter, me and my friend are getting nervous, you sure you know what you're doing?"

Abreu has real power. Bargain at +3000 for HR champ I believe.

STRAIGHT BET Apr 14 TNT MLB - 2014 MOST REGULAR SEASON HOME RUNS
[888328] JOSE ABREU +3000 300.00 USD / 9000.00 USD 76109395

There's more but the formatting sucks. Alvarez is in the same boat. Should hit 35 with some upside possibly. You can do worse at +3000.

I dabble in sports, but I grew up on horses. If you're looking for a viable Kentucky Derby bet outside of California Chrome, wildcat red (18-1 right now) and Bayern (15-1) are very nice horses that seem to be maturing nicely and fit the race pretty well.

Porcello versus Cashner tonight, both pitchers are on five days rest. Porcello had a 6.27 ERA in 47.1 IP (nine starts) last season on five days rest, and owns a 5.16 ERA in 244.0 IP (44 starts) lifetime on five days rest. Cashner owns a 1.64 ERA in 55.0 IP lifetime on five days rest. Tigers 0-5 O/U against 6.5 since LY, two of which went extra innings. The lowest total Porcello ever pitched against was 7.0, once, versus Felix Hernandez on Jun 12, 2011. It went over by three runs.

Atlanta is last in the majors in runs scored (19) and OPS v RHP (.563). The Nationals are 3-0 away v RHP so far this season and they have scored 22 of their 42 runs away v RHP. The Nationals' 42 runs ties them with the Angels for 7th in the MLB in that category. The Angels play the Mets tonight, who strike out 27.8% of the time, worst in the MLB. The Mets are also last in batting average and OBP.

Nationals 100/119

Nationals +116/Angels -160 100/251

Not sure Red can get the distance...

Also lots of early speed horses this year...I'll be looking for a closer to run them down. Wicked Strong only one that comes to mind right now but after the wood win he may not be a great price

Fwiw, Bayern is +2100 and Wildcat Red is +4000 at Sportsbook.SLBD recommended Bayern to me recently.

I'm going to sound like an idiot here...but you're recommending the over, right?

In!
I think that's poor value on Bayern...he needs to finish 1 or 2 this weekend to guarantee a derby trip...3rd puts him on the bubble with a ton of other horses...I'd hate to see you guys drop money on a horse that doesn't even make the starting gate

He's also very lightly raced so I don't really give him much of a shot myself and unless he blows the doors off them tomorrow you'll still be likely to get 15-1 to 20-1 odds on him id think

GPJ or Numb, i'm looking at Marseile/Montpellier under 2.5 -149. Any thoughts? Also like PSG/Lyon over 2.5 tomorrow.
I like the Marseile stats

At home games

Montpelliar has only gone over 2.5 19% of the matches

Road games

Marseile has only gone over 2.5 25% of the matches

for tomorrow

PSG on road games 50% over 2.5

Lyon at home 44% over 2,5

Not great stats to bet an over but Lyon is at home and really fighting for the 4th spot. If they can net a goal the over would look very possible.

Also like Schalke in Germany to win.

They tied on the road against Frankfurt 3-3 last meeting and think they can pull off a win at home to keep them in solid control of the 3 spot

Liking the over as well on the MIA/PHI game

Set at 6.5 with Marlins ace on the mound against Burnett in Philadelphia.

Fernandez has been sizzling but playing at home in his stadium against COL and SD, imo has made those numbers look a little better than they probably should.

Burnett shows flashes of dominance from time to time but I like this one to have some runs scored in HR friendly Citizens bank Park.

If we can get 2 HR's today I like our chances of getting 7runs

My bad. I didn't play anything in that game. Because overs at SD are hard and, to a lesser extent, the Tigers 0-5 O/U record against that number L5. I just thought the days of rest thing stood and wouldn't back Porcello.

Mets caught a long flight last night. But they don't play until 10PM EST. Dillon Gee has gone 1-2 SU in games starting at 10PM or later. He logged 18.1 innings in those games with 21 hits allowed and a 5.89 ERA. If you look at his games that started at 8:15PM or later, he is 1-4 SU in 27.1 IP with 35 hits allowed and a 6.91 ERA. Those starts were all away, and he did all that while only allowing 1 HR in those five games, which is kind of significant because Angel Stadium only ranked 20th in home runs last year. FWIW, the wind will be blowing 7 MPH out to right/center with a 0% chance of rain.

Angels o4 120/100
