FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (6 Viewers)

The hockey-fan nurse I pulled off match last year sent me a text at 8 o'clock this morning. I haven't seen her in a year. Said she is coming back to Austin to visit would I like to see her. I might have to run the jewels on this ho.

Tailing on the Isles

MLB: Toronto - Even

I had two parlays so far this young season that I fell one leg short one. Combined they would have payed about 24 units. BOTH times it was the Reds that screwed up that one leg. I now hate the REDS.

For you totals players, this is a pretty good weather link. Shows the wind speed and direction, which is huge.

I think every game yesterday which showed winds of 20+ mph blowing out went over yesterday, except for one.

Dan lambskin>good call on bayern (my California horse racing roots may have clouded my judgment, although looks like the same may have happened to slbd). I still like pace this year, though. Wildcat Red is all I have left of my future bets, so I kind of have to

He might be one to watch for the Preakness though...definitely looked like he was losing steam yesterday but it was only his 3rd start

it was a bad call with a fortunate result. But I'll both take the cash and enjoy the comedy.

Freddy couples gonna make a run?

Senior rude...hella wings call eh?
needed that one.

I'm on the Devils and Carolina in these next games.

Bruins sitting everybody and Flyers starting a goalie I've never heard of.

Like the Devils play a bit more. Team should go all out to get Brodeur a win there I think and the Bs probably just don't want anyone to get hurt.

I parlayed the devils with the isle.

Is today last day of regular season?
yes it is.

I didn't realize how decimated the Isles were when I went all-in on them last night. I'm starting to worry a little about that one. Might buy out a bit, especially if the Sabres start Makarov in goal instead of Knapp.

Their minor league affiliate has a big game today so I was expecting the Sabres to not raid them too bad for a meaningless NHL game, but I think Makarov is a better goalie than Knapp so that scares me a bit.

Stick with your initial instinct. They were decimated the other night too, dressing 11 rookies, when they dominated Montreal at The Bell Centre in a game the Habs needed for home ice. Knapp is confirmed, BTW.

Nilsson instead of Nobokov, though. :(

I wouldn't blame you if you took the over tonight with these two pitchers. But Yankees went 7-4 to the UNDER in game four of a four game series last year. And the Red Sox went 6-4-1 to the UNDER in game four of a four game series last year. And the Red Sox/Yankees are 6-2 to the UNDER in game four of a four game series against each other since 2004.

At first I thought I had something on the OVER in Sunday night prime time baseball. Red Sox/Yankees have faced each other 17 times in Sunday night prime time baseball since 2009. And the OVER is 8-8-1 in those games, and 3-1 last year alone. So that really stood out. But looking into it further I noticed that all three of the overs last year came at Fenway, and seven of the eight overall came at Fenway since 2009. So the OVER in Sunday night prime time games is 7-3-0 since 2009 when they played at Fenway, but only 1-5-1 when they played at the new Yankee Stadium. So who knows. Watch it fly over now.

Nilsson has been pretty good lately: http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/players/5341/gamelog/

I don't know why the Sabres called up Makarov only to have him sit on the bench again. Maybe they will put him in at some point.

I played this game in a lot of different ways. Went a little nuts.

If you wanted a weird reason to bet the over tonight, game four of a four game series on Sunday night 8PM is 8-1 to the OVER since 2011 (7-0 L7). link

*Includes 4 games that started at 8 PM and 5 games that started at 8:05 PM.

Bovada has this up today and I think it's a strong bet. He only needs 5 points in 8 games and has been better than a point per game player for the past 3 seasons. If he misses a game, bet is no action so less risk of losing due to an injury. Would suck if he gets over the total and sits the last game of the year for some reason, but Leafs are in a fight for the playoffs and they've been giving him 20+ minutes/night.

Total Points for Phil Kessel in the regular season: O81.5 (-175)

(must play remaining 8 games for wager to have action)
Is this still alive?

no. sorry

he was only 2 points away with 3 games to play but was shutout in all 3 games (Leafs as a whole only scored 2 goals total in those 3 games).

Speith just reached the back 9 at Augusta on Sunday. That sphincter is gotta be making diamonds. It's not his fault, it happens to the best pros in the world. My personal favorite 2 hours in sport. Enjoy!

spieth round handicap +1.5 -125 vs Bubba.

Does this mean he has to beat Bubba by 2, or lose by less then 2?
Lose by less than 2.
Thats what I thought and made the bet, but looks like he has to beat Bubba by 2. :bag:

found this in the rules:

Round Handicap

The handicap is applied to the specified players’ Round Scores, with the lowest score being the winner. e.g. Player A +1.5 scores 74, Player B -1.5 scores 75, Player B is settled as the winner once the handicap has been applied.
