FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (9 Viewers)

Not directing that at you specifically, tj. But everyone is on MILW in here. Seems weird to be so fired up to go against a guy who gives up almost nothing.

Samardzija has a 1.48 ERA in four starts at Wrigley this season. The Cubs are 0-4 in those four games, 0-5 L5 Samardzija starts at Wrigley, and 6-15 L21 Samardzija starts at Wrigley since 2013 (avg line -110). The Brewers as a team have also won six games at Wrigley Field since 2013 (6-3 SU L9 at Wrigley).
Poor Jeff:

The right-hander ranks second in the major leagues in ERA, yet is winless in his eight starts due to the second-lowest run-support average in baseball at 1.93. He's the first pitcher since at least 1900 to give up three or fewer runs in his first eight starts and not get a victory.
Tell me why these stats make the Brewers a better play than the under?
Brewers Lineup for today:

1. Logan Schafer (L) CF
2. Jean Segura ® SS
3. Scooter Gennett (L) 2B
4. Jonathan Lucroy ® C
5. Lyle Overbay (L) 1B
6. Mark Reynolds ® 3B
7. Khris Davis ® LF
8. Elian Herrera (S) RF
9. Kyle Lohse ® P

Now I know why the price moved against us.... Yuck.

I bet the cubs

So Sankey might be worth something for OROY. Will wait, but Greene has never really impressed and always seems to be dinged up. He might have the most clear path for carries.
I think I can agree with this to a point, but you do have to stop and consider how much bias there is to QB's in the NFL. I think if TB starts all 16 and puts up an average year and BS goes for 1300/13 its still very possible TB gets the award.
The Titans will clear the way for Sankey, I really like our line.

I could live with Sankey on my fantasy team. I like the guy and I watched a lot of Washington games. But the NFL is a QB league when it comes to awards.

Yeah I kinda like the Cubs also, no Braun and not a huge Lohse fan. So the FFAWT is split on this game? Damn.
The wind is blowing in slightly. Showers expected. The "feel-like" temperature is 40°. Samardzija is no fun to hit against on a beautiful day, much less a cold/raw day. This feels like a quick game.

I mentioned in the NHL thread that I want to pound the under 5 in every Rangers/Canadiens game, but I'm conflicted now. The number tomorrow is 5, under -140. I hate laying vig like that on a total. The next step is -160, then we'll likely see 4.5 posted. Not sure what to do with this.

I think that was because Chain posted the Brewers - tailing him is never a bad move. Braun sitting definitely hurts

I'm sure as #### glad I tailed you guys last night and not this morning. Just sitting down to see...am I the only one still on the Brewers? I felt all sad and lonely about a half hour ago thinking I was left off the bus.

Hopefully there's no more scoring so the under hits for you dudes and the Brewers hit for this dude.

This makes absolutely no sense. Coldest day in Wrigley history on this date. Brewers with a AAA lineup. Samardzija had been lights-out. Gotta love baseball.

Just gotta hope the Cubs either have a miraculous comeback OR they get shut out and Milwaukee stops scoring.

:kicksrock:

Nah, plenty of peeps took the Brew Crew. Good for them.

I still like the under but $1.40 is too spensive

If the Cubs can get within one run late, live-betting the Brewers to mitigate losses is an option. Before this inning, MIL was -300. Not do-able at that price.

I had composed a parody of Boston's "Amanda" on piano with lyrics about how ####ty it is to be a Cubs backer today.

I guess I need to refrain from posting it now. Ugh.
