FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (3 Viewers)

I only have 2 books (SB and RB)...and I'm on the payout verge with RB with about $900 in baseball futures pending, so I'm not going to play there until I have a better feel of what those will look like.
I thought you didn't play futures? Is it different for you mentally to play them at RB since it's credit? I'm just curious because I haven't typically played them in the past either.
These were baseball total win over/unders I played when I got access to all of the prediction machine picks. I think the reason I played them were b/c I had access to the picks and he had historically hit at a good clip...more than it was on credit.

I'm pretty disciplined, so the credit doesn't really effect me. I play where the line is better...but if all things were equal, I'd play at RB b/c of the credit.
 I tried RB on one of Kurt's deals and busted out. I need to include them in my price shopping too as I usually don't think to.

Played Teheran -1.5 +120
Picture this. Your last start was at home versus the Rockies five or six days ago. The Rockies just saw you. Your next start is today at Coors Field. Since 2004 your team has gone 13-18 SU against an average line of -113 in that situation. The total went 22-9 to the over against an average total of 10.6 and 17-1 to the over since June 27, 2005. The Pirates only scored 1 run yesterday, which contributed to the only under in those L18 games in this situation.

This will actually be the 4th time the Pirates have been in this situation since last year. They are 0-3 SU so far with 24 total runs allowed to the Rockies. It's just hard to back Matzek since the Rockies are 0-7 SU in his L7 starts. And it's hard to back a total of 11 because I think a total that high is insane. It's just weird and always seems square. But in addition to the above, you get Eric Cooper behind home plate who has the highest WHIP this season out of all the other umps going today, which is promising. Anyway, the B2B starts at home and then at Coors piqued my interest. I think it looks like more runs for the Rockies today.
:hifive:

I just started Game Of Thrones last week. Pretty good, already burned through 2 seasons. Also watched True Detective, also pretty good.

Last time out on 5 days of rest Ryu got his nuts knocked around by the Tigers at Comerica. Before that the Dodgers had been 10-2 SU in his starts (home and away) on 5 days of rest. Digging deeper I found that the Dodgers are 4-0 SU when Ryu is playing on 5 days of rest in consecutive road starts. Opposing teams (Marlins, Angels, Cardinals, and Giants) averaged 0.75 ±0.5 runs per game in those four games. Ryu went 29.2 IP and allowed 2R (1ER), 16 H, and 4 BB with 20 K. It is a situation that stuck out to me and makes sense.

A less-arbitrary situation says that the Dodgers are 3-1 SU (3-0 SU L3) in Ryu's starts at AT&T Park against an average line of 112. In his L3 starts at AT&T Park, Ryu went 20.2 IP and allowed 3 R, 12 H, and 5 BB with 12 K. That's good for an ERA of 1.31 and WHIP of 0.823 in just under 7.0 innings per start. Despite his performance, bettors have still not had to pay any juice on any Dodgers' ML in any of Ryu's starts at AT&T.

Then you have the whole Peavy situation. The dude doesn't even have a uniform yet. Now, I could understand it when Samardzija rolled into the A's dugout, was lined as the big favorite the next day, and then delivered the goods. Because the A's were beating the crap out of the Blue Jays the night he got there, and he parlayed it into another victory the next day. It was a good situation. On the other hand, the Red Sox just got done losing Peavy's last nine starts in a row. Seriously. And now he is sitting there watching this crap unfold against the Dodgers. Things aren't going to change overnight for Peavy, no pun intended.

So let me get the Dodgers +102 to keep this up tomorrow night. Keep lining Ryu as the dog at AT&T and let me back the team and starter with the winning mentality.

I haven't made a bet in two months, but I might tail you here.

I hate when I go to wipe and the paper gets stuck but my hand keeps moving and all of a sudden my finger is knuckle deep.

Let's go archer and the rays!

little pony action for the Haskell (Race 12 Monmouth)

lots of good horses in here but i'm going to try to beat the favorites with Medal Count. should be a good enough pace for him to close into...Untappable and Bayern may simply be better, but at 8-1 i'll take a shot (edit:....currently 4-1 ). will play a small exacta with him on top of those 2 and Social Inclusion, and a saver with SI on top of those 3

on it for a half unit at -128

Doh

Hyun-Jin Ryu asked Beckett how he throws his curve, and adjusted. Asked Kershaw about his slider; now using that grip. 15k, 1bb last 13 IP

What did you do on this one man? Made me go back and re-check my stuff. Back half of that SF lineup is k-heavy. I had 5-6 as floor and 7-8 likely.

29 weeks reigning champion at Name That Tune trivia at the local bar. Supposedly next week I'm being handicapped. Love being a team of one and whipping up on teams of 6.

Hardest one tonight was Saigon Kick "Love Is On The Way". I don't think I'm stumpable

Speaking of which, I just watched a great documentary on Showtime called "Unhung Hero." Dude with a tiny penis is frustrated about it, so he travels the world seeking options to enlarge it. Near the end, he interviews Jonah Falcon, who has the world's largest penis (13.5"). He's been on Howard Stern's show several times. At one point, they show them walking and talking, and you can see Jonah's considerable junk lounging leisurely about halfway down the leg of his tight pants. Hilarious.

Here is a link with a few different streaming choices.

Wife and I watched this on the Netflix. More entertaining than you'd think. Pretty good.

I love Saigon kick. Fun fact - Saigon Kick was good friends with the band Extreme. Fun fact 2 - I grew up down te street from the stage manager of Extreme. Sad fact 1 - all my freinds are in the video for Hole Hearted multiple times but I couldn't get the day off from work that day.
