FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (1 Viewer)

I normally wouldn't post anything like this, but (and you knew there would be a but)...

HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!!
Hat in hand, the Boys played one hell of a game in CenturyLink today man. Did not see them covering at all, much less winning there. Nice W, very impressive.

So, do we think the Eagles can get to 51 on the solo tip?
I think if the 2H total is 24.5 or lower I'm hammering it. Hoping Giants get held down here to end the half, and come out angry on offense and put some points up. Landed Eagles -2.5 live after the first possession, so I'm good to do that.

Yeah, i am happy about it too. Happens almost every year. Now all of a sudden Cowboy fans think their team is good. Then November and December hits. So yes, though it cost me some coin today too, i am happy the Cowpokes won. Because it will be all that much finer when the inevitable crash comes

Like clockwork.

The difference this year is that the O-line is for real, and the defense is playing lights out. Seattle couldn't get anything going offensively. Without the special teams blow-ups, Dallas wins by 20.

I was going to add that this year is a little different in that you guys do have an OL. But still, you should have lost to STL, and the defense will come back to where they should be. I hope Murray stays healthy because he is helping me in fantasy, but if he goes down the Cowboys are toast

Yeah, if Murray stays healthy. But you can say that about any team. Randle and Dunbar can run behind that line. As effective? Maybe or probably not, but it's not like they are completely devoid of any talent in the backfield if Murray goes down. Again, the difference is the O-line. Protecting Romo is huge. TWilliams complimenting Bryant is big also. The key is the O-line and ball control. Takes a big load off the young defense. This Dallas team reminds me a lot of the young Dallas teams of the early 90's. Not to say that they are equal in any way, but they have built an O-line through the draft and they have an offensive core to test most defenses. If the young defense can continue to gel as a unit, who knows?

Beating Seattle at home was big. If not for the special teams gaffes, Dallas would have blown them out.

Great day

Faced Flacco and still came back and won in fantasy (in spite of AJ Green being my best player...I played Andre Holmes)

Had my biggest bet of the year on the St Louis Cardinals

Had my Survivor play on the Arizona Cardinals while the majority of the pool had the Seahawks

Oh, and the Eagles won

God bless America

Yep. Giants are terrible tonight though. He was projected for about 8 or 9 tackles by multiple sources. And he has none.
Well that sucks.
According to PFF, he played every snap (68/68) and should have had 5 tackles (1 solo, 4 asst) along with 1 missed tackle. Stat crew didn't do him any favors, but the horrendous effort from the Giants offense was mainly what killed it.

Their fans? Bleacher Report power rankings have Cowboys as #1. We'll see when the others come out, but, all of them should have them in the top 3. A lot of people think the Cowboys are pretty good right now.

Played Michigan State -14
down to 13.5.. they have to cover eventually right?
On the road, two TD favorite, michigan next week and OSU the week after? I smell trap. I would however play the over in this game, sight unseen.
Indiana lost the Starting QB this week. If Sparty can stop Abdulah they will have no issues with Coleman.
From a talent/injury/etc standpoint I agree. I just think this years squad is more susceptible to falling victim to a trap. Defense is giving up a bunch of points and relying on the offense to outscore the opponent much more than in years past. Maybe they wont lose, but it could be a closer game than expected. They are starting to get a track record of allowing the backdoor cover.

Flyers are +160 on the road to Boston, and getting 29% of spread bets tonight. Obviously don't fit the last two criteria re: rest and off a loss.
I don't have any evidence to back this up other than my own memory, but I think dogs tend to hit at a better rate early in the season. a veteran team like the Bruins probably didn't play their core guys much in the preseason so I think it's normal to start out rusty.
NHL dogs so far this year are 14-19 -1.82u. That's using Pinnacle closing lines for anything over +100
