Also.... I'm kinda sorta back. Been a rough Month or two. I talked w RN but that was about it. Been chewing for 16 years and had to quit after the health scare I posted about in late summer. It was harder than I thought and needed a break. Will fill anyone in who cares on the whole story tomorrow.

Cliff notes version was that I wanted to kill anyone and everyone for about 2 weeks. I even started meandering into other threads and being a complete Richard to people I don't care about. That's just not me but it was my only outlet to be a #### since I have no kids or wife.

Congrats, GB! I didn't dip for 16 years, but I was a solid 5-6 years. Hard as all heck to quit that stuff, I honestly loved it which is what made it so hard to quit. Happy for you, keep it up and welcome back.

Horrid. My back up choice as we spoke about though was the Gmen. So it made me feel much better that it wouldn't have mattered my third choice was the Saints. And they all lost. So I can't be too mad about it at all. I honestly had no balls to take anyone but those 3 teams.

They play each other twice a year. The Bills are 2-3 SU and ATS at home versus Rex Ryan and the Jets with the two wins coming in the last two years by double-digit margins of 19 and 23 points against lines of -3.5 and -1.0. The O/U is 7-2 between these two teams since Ryan became the Jets' HC. The Bills were favored to win two of those nine games - and coincidentally those are the two games that went under the total. Also, since Rex Ryan became HC of the Jets, seven of the nine games between these two teams have been decided by 16 points or more, specifically the four games in Buffalo which were all decided by an average margin of 21 ±4 points per game (the Bills went 2-2 SU, ATS, and O/U in those four home games).

This is the first Browns/Falcons matchup since 2010. The Falcons lost both of their home games versus the AFC last season (Pats and Jets) as -2.5 and -9.5 point favorites. They're also 0-2 SU L2 at home this season, and only 5-7 SU at home going back to last year. They haven't played a home game since week 6.

This is the first Ravens/Saints matchup since 2010. Flacco has only played one NFL football game in the Superdome before. He is 6-1 SU in his career versus the NFC South. He is a combined 6-5 SU (6-4-1 ATS) on the road on Sunday and Monday nights. In their L12 home games on Sunday and Monday nights, the Saints are a combined 12-0 SU and 11-1 ATS (avg line -5.6, since Nov 24, 2008). The O/U in those games was 9-3 and the average score was 41-19.
Other stuff:
• Since 2010 Rodgers and the Packers are 20-14 ATS lined < -6 (avg line -10), but only 1-6 ATS when you narrow those down to road games.
• The Bucs and Bears haven't played each other since 2011.
• The Rams and Chargers haven't played each other since 2010. Since 2008, Rivers is only 6-7 SU and 4-9 ATS (avg line -5.7) as the favorite versus the NFC.
• The Redskins haven't gone to California to play the 49ers since 2008.
• In week five of last season, the Cowboys and Broncos combined for 99 points in the highest-scoring regular season game of the year. The second-highest scoring regular-season game of 2013 totaled 87 points. Trivia question: Who were the two teams? Hint: They are matched up again this week at the same venue that held last year's 87-point game.

Total homer here, but Grizzlies have the feel of the team that made a run to the Conference finals. While I realize this hot start isn't indicative of a team that will dominate in this fashion all year.... there does seem to be some value in locking them in at +1300 and potentially hedging down the stretch?

My buddy who claims to follow basketball pretty heavily was touting the Grizzlies futures bet a couple weeks ago after Westbrook went down. Said it's young athletic teams like the Thunder that give the Grizz trouble, and with them potentially out of the picture in the West, the Grizzlies have a good shot at taking it down.

Glad you're back JB. I smoked cigarettes for 17 years and quit when my daughter was born. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do in my life, no schtick. I do use an e-cig as a crutch sometimes, but no more smokes. Been 6 years. You can quit, but you have to want to. I tried quitting many times, but deep down I really didn't want to. Sounds like you've reached the want to point. Good luck bud, you can do it.

Looks like both #1 goalies are in. Red Wings are 0-4 L4 in Columbus since Feb 2013, losing all four by 2 or more goals. They're also 0-3 L3 in the first game of a road trip this season. Columbus just won their L2 games after losing nine straight. Coinflip?
