FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (2 Viewers)

I hope I feel this bad every night while my account continues to climb whilst tailing Lish. No way that shouldagoneover. I hope it goes to OT at least. TY SIR, please do it again and again.

I wouldn't touch any wallpaper with a 10 foot pole, no matter how good the art is.
No, huh? Can you at least watch that video and tell me if you aren't swayed a bit?
Ever tried to take down wallpaper? I'd rather be stuck in an elevator with Tim.

I'd imagine wallpaper would turn away a lot of potential buyers if you decide to sell the place. I know you're not thinking about it now, but you should always have that in the back of your mind when your making decisions like that.

On to the important stuff, let's see a blueprint of the man room

i'd vote against the wallpaper for now too. Paint it if you want cause it is always easy to paint over it later (unless you paint it black). only wallpaper i ever dealt with was on the walls for a lot of years, and yeah it was horrendous to take off and still marks up the wall a little. Give it some time, and if you still fee this strong a month from now maybe go for it then

No man-cave. :( Just a good size living room. Couldn't turn it down for the price.

So if I choose paint, any cool colors out there now for the living room? I bought that 64" plasma we were talking about in the TV thread, so I want that to be the main focus of the room... not some kooky-color paint. Something neutral but pleasing to the eye?

Excuse me. I need to get a brandy and my smoking jacket.

Can't you just hire guys to take off wall paper when you're on the golf course? Sure they end up ####### your wife and now you have a baby with a different complexion than yours....but hey you didn't have to take down that wall paper, right?!

you want to look upscale utilize an accent wall.

LOL. I just bought the place. Selling it is the last thing on my mind. I'll probably die here. I'm on route 95 within two minutes, and there is a plaza down the road with great Italian food and Chinese food. Easy walking distance if I weren't the laziest person ever.

Yep, read that. So a few neutral-colored walls and one zany wall?

Your maroon couches seem like a pretty potent color. I would have to think about it a bit. You can go to the paint company websites (for the life of me i can't remember what company) and pick a room and take a look at a bunch of stuff. i think the other site that you can look at different things is houzz. that will give you different looks. A dark wall as your accent wall might be a good look with those couches, but i just took some stuff to help me get some sleep so could be really thinking weird here

Looks like I owe my sister an apology. I told her I was gonna do wallpaper, and she begged/ordered me not to. I just thought she was being her usual bossy self, but maybe she knows a few things. She bought herself a million-dollar house, so maybe I should have listened.

Did you find a place?

Also wallpaper outside the bathroom is probably not a great idea. A backsplash in the kitchen seems to impress broads though FWIW.

If it were me, I'd go neutral with paint colors and use other things to add color to the room. What's "hip" now won't be "hip" in a few years. Neutral is safe and matches anything.

We have neutral walls and neutral sectional (different shades of neutral, so there is a nice contrast) and you'd actually be amazed how changing out the pillow colors or some stuff on the walls instantly gives you a different perspective on the room.

Dark, rich colors usually span fads. Pumpkin, dark gray, a heavy maize, forest greens and some others work well and last. Stay away from all reds, just don't do it.

I'm thinking something in the blue family. This is a little bolder than neutral, but I like it.

 neutral = boring. Are you the kind of a guy who wants to bet the ML on a -450 favorite, or do you want to let your balls hang out and live a little. Paint it up and if you don't like it just paint over it in a month or 2

no offense TF

Just keep the maroon couches in mind though. It kind of limits my options. I don't want to buy a whole new living room set. These suckers were expensive.

hmm, Washington is up 32 points at the half and the halftime line is grambling +15.5. team looks sucky, but might be worth a little bit to take that seeing how they gave a crap a little at the end their last game

In the '70's, my parents put up cork tiles and mirrors like this...

yeah but like DD said, the dark walls are an option. go some kind of tan or off white on 2-3 walls and paint one of the other suckers something with some pizzazz

I want a Brady Bunch kitchen. The Astro-turf in the back yard is negotiable.

ZANGRILLILOLOL likes greens, especially the green that gets him to Central America by doing a bunch of fantasy drafts which some people in the Shark Pool are claiming is "work."

You know, I think you've got it. A dark tan/coffee color will look FABULOUS!

Delaware +12
I don't necessarily love this because Delaware is pretty terrible and they have the premier chucker in the league this year in Cazmon Hayes who takes 33% of his team's shots when he's on the floor despite shooting under 30%, but they're pretty desperate for a win at this point. Temple hasn't won on the road yet this year and they're between games vs. Villanova and Kansas. If ever there was a let down spot, this is it. Normally I don't pay much attention to this stuff but Lumpy once told me I should, so here we are.

If it wins, I'm a genius for evolving and changing. If it loses, blame Lumpy.

Astro-turf the walls :trendsetter:

When I bought my 1-bedroom apartment in 2008, it was poo brown/red. Awful.

Painted it with my dad, took 2 coats of primer to hide that crap.

Don't walk, run from dark brown/red.
