I don't bet at all in September anymore, it is just senseless since I can't get any feel for the teams and there isn't much data. I always kill in November so I start looking at stuff in late September now, and bet lightly until the 2nd or third week of October. I really need to increase my bet size once I think I have figured it out, but I always end up waiting until the third week in November.

Last four years of bowls were up 7-10u IIRC, down 2-3u, up 5-7u, even. I go into bowl season willing to lose my entire bankroll though, so what the hell. As I said before, I don't gamble for the money. At least when I'm not in Vegas.

I don't think I would do anything other than 1 unit plays for CBB. My baseball numbers were different. Basically, since I geared my plays towards underdogs, 2u plays were underdogs I projected to win outright. 1u plays were underdogs I projected to lose, but enough value where it still was a +EV play imo. (I tried hockey but I unfortunately don't follow it enough to get really a good idea of who is who).

I do think there is a big difference between conf and non-conf. Once I get a good sample of conf sides and totals, I can go back and see if there is any correlation between my numbers and beating the spreads/totals. Perhaps adjust units accordingly that way. There is an amazing amount of data out there for CBB that I think something is possible (the same sites Frosty uses) where you can get a good sense of a Big Sky or MAAC game and those are really the games you want to target because no one else cares about them - lines won't be efficient. That may be another way depending on the conference (I don't have sides by conference but totals on small conferences have actually performed worse than widely available totals so far)

I know a couple guys in here saw that game since we were trying for the under that night, and I think Nugs called the 2H under that hit, probably thanks to Durant missing the 2H, which was the angle. I couldn't tell if he'd be back or not, but Nugs had it pegged. I'm not going to even try to call this game tonight though. The info on days rest and who's in/who's out just needed to be mentioned before placing a bet.

Washington has a five-game road trip versus the West starting @Houston on Monday; then @Mavs, @Thunder, @Spurs, and @Pelicans.

The Wizards have lost their last three in a row. You knew it was going to be a rough road trip, and now they finish it off with the Pels. I kind of figured they'd be in this spot finishing up the trip needing a win. They actually won at Houston, but they lost bad in Dallas the next night on B2B, lost in OKC on 2 days of rest when Durant thrashed them in his second game back from the ankle injury, and then lost again on B2B against the Spurs. So their price may be cheap right now and they did have today off so they had a day to rest. The Wizards are 6-0 SU versus the Pelicans L6 since 2011, with three of those games in New Orleans - all lined as the dog - of 3.5, 4.5, and 3.0. They're getting 3.0 right now (if your book isn't slow as hell in posting its lines).
