If CJ goes down Ringer will put up at least RB2 numbers. He will be a 3 down back behind a great offensive line. To put the stats together. If Chris Johnson amassed 2000 yards and 16 TD behind that offensive line. Even if Ringer reach 50% of that production you are looking at 1000 yards and 8 TDs.Ringer and to a lesser extent DixonMy thinking is you want a run heavy team that can move the ball with a RBBC limited to mainly 2 RB's. Three teams come to mind, all have talent & situationanthers- Stewart already gone and/or too much $$$Tenn- Ringer, I'm thinking even if CJ does not go down to injury they may run enough for Ringer to get RB #3 points. The first time CJ gets dinged they will be concerned about over use and want to preserve him giving Ringer more touches, look for this to happen as the year goes on.49'rs- Dixon, Westy could be a 3rd wheel problem but SF should get things back on track and look to pound the ball as long as they are not down early in the game. Once they start pounding Dixon should see a fair amount of touches
If something should happen to Jamaal Charles, I think Thomas Jones would be very productive. If nothing happens to Thomas Jones, I think Jamaal Charles would be very productive. If something should happen to Thomas Jones, I think Jamaal Charles would be very productive.
Re the James Davis hype, I like the guy too, but when you throw terms like he'd "be the man in CLE if he didn't have the injury last preseason", I think it's only fair to acknowledge the rumors surrounding his injury -- if true, it's possible he's in the doghouse in CLE and only being rostered to avoid an NFLPA greivance.http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4551033zilladog said:James davis

Kareem Huggins (maybe)
And James Davis
These guys all have the talent to produce well and the opportunity to get significant touches WITHOUT HAVING TO WAIT FOR AN INJURY. You heard it here first......James Davis will be the RB to own in CLE by years end. Harrison not only doesn't carry favor with the coaches, but there's a decent chance his lack of production/durability will land him on the bench sooner rather than later. I know, I know, Peyton Hillis is the backup and a good one at that. But IMO, he will only be decent in a limited role. Leaving the door open to the guy from
Clemson who very likely would ALREADY be the man in CLE if he didn't have the injury last preseason. This is a situation it seems where with a little bit of forsight, is hard to miss. Of course I'll gladly eat crow if I'm wrong but he is well worth your last roster spot, especially in dynasty.
I'm thinking this too. I don't see how he doesn't get moved to either Seattle or the next team where the starter goes down at RB. I would think since this could be St. Louis's first shot out of the basement in quite some time, they would want better insurance for Sjax than they currently have.Buffalo is holding a valuable piece to someone else's puzzle and they would be fools to not cash in. Then again, they're starting Trent Edwards...Marshawn Lynch could end up somewhere.
So then why the hell would i want to pick him up...to hope he gets a chance to not be near Brandon Jackson? The thread is titled, "Finding the next Brandon Jackson, A list of backup RBs you might want to snag now". Considering you cannot roster a whole list, it seems to me that what you really want to find is the most likely backup running back to get called after an injury.
IMHO, Steven Jackson will be the next to go down. Offseason back surgery plus current swelling in his knee. When RBs do not run 100% because of other issues, it always ends bad. I had Brandon Jackson in 4 of my 5 leagues simply because he had an offseason concussion. Go with the backup to the guy having major issues right now. Pick up K. Darby STL, who will never be worth anything near Brandon Jackson if it happens.
I also hold Ringer as a backup in most leagues because it is a lottery ticket, but he is probably not available in most leagues.
LOLSnelling? After seeing what Jackson did yesterday I'm still looking for the first Brandan Jackson. Was hoping he could fill a need and become my RB2. Doesn't look like it.
I was going to sell high after expected monstrous numbers out of him yesterday. It looks like the Packers just did not run the ball.lazyike said:After seeing what Jackson did yesterday I'm still looking for the first Brandan Jackson.
