4 team league?

It had to have been a two person league ?

You'd think it would be, but it's a 12 team league. They just tend to draft guys that have a track record.Good for me since I got the next Shannon Sharpe.

Why would you let him slide that far?

Because tight ends were going late. I don't have a hard on for Finley. And there's tons of tight end depth.Also I went WR/WR at 1.11 and 2.2 (Moss, CJ). I had to sure up my running back depth.

I don't know if any of the rest of these owners hang out at FBG but this league has been around 10 years and most are pretty astute. As most leagues formed among real friends, some are better at this than others but my guess is this is closer to "typical" than the drafts we'd see among FBGers.

I though it was obvious that by leaving them out, I wouldn't take them over him. I also have a post above with all the teams I would rather have Finley than any WR from. It applies to Gates as well.

As to the op...I just picked him up in my draft at the end of the fifth round and was pretty happy to join the finley LOCOmotive. Steve Smith (Carolina) got sniped just before I selected or I would have taken smitty...the next wrs off the board after I took finley were ochocino, malcom floyd, nicks and harvin. So, I guess I wouldn't pass on any of the standard wr1's for him but luckily didn't have to.
