Firefox and NFL.com Gamecenter question (1 Viewer)

When using Firefox on NFL.com's live gamecenter, the game play by play stats do not refresh like IE. Is there something I need to turn on or install as an add-on for this to work?

Incidentally, there is a nice plugin called Flashblock that makes it Flash items don't play by default. You get a little play button on them and if you want to see it you click there and if not you don't.

Kind of nice if you're browsing ESPN at work and don't want those videos they play on the right hand side to start up and announce what you're doing to the office.

i've noticed that whenever I try to leave it open while browsing elsewhere (Yahoo stat-tracker, here, etc) it always crashes Firefox. If I close it and keep everything else open it's fine. it's pissing me off.

Hmm. Might be something else that you've got loaded causing it. I've been using Firefox with NFL.com's gamestats for years and have never seen a crash problem. Only extensions I have right now are Web Developer and Flashblock. Do you have a bunch of extensions loaded?

I notice the same as well. Last yr, I ran nfl.com on firefox with no issues. This year nfl.com seems to crash Firefox. I usually have multiple tabs on the browser (footballguys, PFT, rotoworld, and fanball league, fanball live tracker). When I open nfl.com firefox crashes. So currently I run nfl.com on IE. I went to my cousin's house yesterday and the same exact thing happened on his PC(he's got espn live tracker, yahoo live tracker, etc running) When we opened a seperate tab for nfl.com, firefox crashed.

I bet it's the combination of Yahoo live tracker and NFL.com crashing it then, because I normally have it open all day on Sunday and have never seen it crash. But I don't use Yahoo.

I had the same problem yesterday as well. I had my MFL site up and NFL.com GameDay in two different browser windows. I am using Firefox 2.0, and figured that was the problem. It happened a few times during the day, but there seemed to be no rhyme or reason for the crash. I just chalked it up to some bugs in FF 2.0.

Mine crapped out a bunch yesterday as well. I've had no problems in past weeks, and am still using the same version. I usually have about 12 tabs open but only one other than gamecenter that keeps updating (RTSports).

I have no Idea why it sucked yesterday.

I finally gave up and used IE as well.
