Fitz & Boldin owners - Diversify for the playoffs? (1 Viewer)

We have fantasy playoffs fast approaching (weeks 13-16 for most).

What do people who are fortunate enough to own both Boldin and Fitzgerald think about the need to "diversify" by moving one of these WR's for a comparable WR talent? Any logic?

My own view is that if were to move one I would probably move Boldin and keep Fitz. Would someone like Greg Jennings or Owens (assuming that you view them as "like assets") be a better blend for the playoffs which are a "1 and done" format?

Back ~ 2 years ago both Fitz and Boldin were Top 5 WRs and both frequently produced each week. I think it was David Yudkin who postulated how unusual that dynamic is and that one shouldn't count on it again. However, 2008 Arizona remains Air Arizona and absent an injury to Warner I don't really see the rest of 2008 being any different than the climate that resulted in 2 Top 5 WRs on the same team in 2006 (heck, Breaston is even a legitimate WR#3 starter in deep leagues).

Interested in what folks think?

My $0.02 is keep them both (unless you extract some extra value that addresses a weakness elsewhere).

I would keep them both unless you get rediculous value for one of them. I would also try to get Breaston if I owned both of them in case of injury.

The only thing that would scare me would be an injury to Warner. If you feel good or wanted to gamble that he does in fact make it the entire year then I would keep both. You're basically guaranteed 2 TD's a week.. Usually to Boldin which stinks for me.. haha. Fitz owner.. If Warner did get hurt it would stink having both with Leinart.. I say roll the dice & keep them..

overthinking
maybe..... but here is how I look at it.....to me it depends on the rest of your team..... kinda like the dilema when you have to decide : do I start they guy who is steady but has little chance of blowing up vs the guy who has a better chance of blowing up but also is more likey to be a bust that week.an example of this was last week... I had to choose between Aaron Rodgers vs tenn or gus frerotte vs Houston. my opponent I felt had a better team ( at least that week) so I started Frerrotte ...I felt like the best that Rodgers would do would not be enough for me to win wheras if Minn were to take to the air, Frerrotte could be a better pick. worked out this time...sometimes it doesnt.I try to not put all of my eggs in one basket when I think my overall team is one of the best teams in the league ( and I may be one of the few who are pretty objective) but if I felt like there were several teams with an overall better team than mine, I would put several eggs in the same basket and hope to hit a home run. So if I felt my team was superior to the other teams likely to make the playofs I would try to trade 1 FOR LIKE VALUE....which admitedly is usually pretty hard..... but if I felt my team were not as good as 2 or 3 other teams I would stand pat.

Not that bad of an idea but only if you can get equal value for one of them. That is a big IF since why would the other owner trade with you if he/she isn't bettering their team?

I have both (also Warner) and I might trade Fitz for like a S.Smith, but not much else. No way I trade Boldin.

WuTang financials. You need to diversify your bonds n***a!

Seriously though, hold tight. 2 touches and 150 is guaranteed, with upside being like 4 tds and 300 yards. Schedule is lookin pretty butter too...

I just traded for Boldin, so I now have both. I'm not even sure who I would consider in a trade for either of them. I am starting both with confidence.
